Sprague's for lobster. Better than Red's which is all about the hype. A lot more lobster in the lobster roll, convenient parking and better view of the river.

Popham beach and fort. Drive past the park entrance and all the way to the end of the point and park at Percy's for $10 to enjoy white sand beach and easy walk to the fort for exploring. When you leave bear around the bay to the left to fort Balwin , also very cool! Wiscasset across the bay, Boothbay is wonderful for meals and shopping really enjoyed a sail on the Lazy Jack, about an hour into Portland but cryptozoology is weird and fun, Gilbert's chowder house, best chowder I ever had, science museum had the Titanic exhibit...very interesting.

The cabin was clean and I had pronpt responses when I called VACASA. They were most helpful and polite when I called for directions and when the fire alarm went off for no reason. Additionally, the cabin was conveniently located, close to many attractions. It was great to get to many quaint location within a short amount of time. The only thing is that with the proximity to Route 1, you can hear the traffic .

A great location to explore mid coast Maine. Convenient to all my favorite places...Boothbay Harbor. Maine Coastal Garden , Damariscotta, New
Harbor , Pemaquid Point etc. Daytrip to Monhegan Island via the Hardy Boats recommended.

Edgecomb is not a destination itself but is a good central "base" location for visiting the more popular ME spots

Spirit rock distillery! Great place to learn about making organic vodka. Owner, Matt, is amazing and is passionate about his work.

Make the trip to Boothbay to the Botanic Gardens. It's a beautiful place.
Be aware that this property is VERY close to Route 1 and there is constant traffic noise. It can be very difficult to get out into that traffic on Route 1 but it is very convenient to get south to Boothbay.

Fort Edgecomb is only minutes away and is a lovely spot with picnic tables under the trees right on the edge of the water. A great, cool, quiet location to while away a hot afternoon.

A great location to relax after exploring the Bar Harbor Coast and before walking across the bridge in Wiscasset for dinner.

Red's Eats is a must! Since we went with dogs we explored many trails in the area which surprised us how many trails are actually in the area, I highly recommend going out for a hike.

Phil and Mike's Lobster Rolls along Route 27 was fantastic, the Blue Moon Cafe in downtown Boothbay Harbor was great for breakfast. Also good was Ms. Wiscasett's Diner along route 1, great food.

Daffy Taffy Factory makes the best peanut butter taffy. Wok n Grill makes good Chinese takeout for a reasonable price. Hannaford in Damariscotta is way better than the one in Boothbay.
