Great walks along the seacoast in several parks. Must have the Lobster stew at J's Oysters in Portland

First thing in the morning, we walked up to Scratch Baking Co for delicious savory scones and great coffee. We loved how cozy and laid back it was. The bread there was wonderful!

We also ended up walking to a few restaurants that were great, but the kitchen was so nice that we most enjoyed cooking dinner and eating out on the porch with the water view.

The fishermen's cottages at the end of the street, Peake Island, Commercial Street in Portland, Portland Headlight, Twin Lights, Bug Light, Spring Point Light, Shaw and Hannaford's Grocery stores are close by, and of course the infamous Scratch Bakery within walking distance. Gorgeous Willard Beach just seconds away.

We found Crescent Beach to be a lovely, low key place for enjoying the water. Portland itself was a delight. This location is just right for going to the shore or the city, both within easy reach an very little traffic!

The beach parking and deck were a great perk! A note on its location in the house would have been helpful, but we found the details in a previous email.

Portland Lighthouse--the most photographed lighthouse in ME--breathtaking.
Cocktails on the patio at the Saltwater Grille. Food is just okay and overpriced.
Scratch Bakery is a must! Willard Scoops for ice cream! Both places you can walk to.

Scratch is the perfect spot to walk to for morning coffee and your choice of breakfast treat; the bagels are made fresh for you - amazing! While a bit of a trek (uber was cheap and super affordable), going to Portland was great: Porthole Restaurant on the water offered great outdoor seating and cheap drinks and food specials: save your money their and use it at a great dinner spot like Eventide.
