We recently stayed at the Burd's Nest and had a great visit in Duck. This is our 5th year visiting Duck and this house was situated very close to the beach and had ocean and sound views (sunrise and sunset views were amazing)! The furniture and fixtures are a bit dated but the house was clean and very spacious. We enjoyed the hot tub which was new and also the pool and theater room. It was fun for the kids (teenage) to have a theater room in the house. The interior winding staircase was fine for us but if you have older tenants or toddlers it could be challenging to navigate. The Vacasa team was great and maintenance identified a faulty door handle before we checked in and had it fixed very timely. They were also very responsive to our request to help with remotes etc and ended up upgrading nearly every tv in the house with brand new Roku enabled tvs and they were super easy to navigate! It was located a little north of downtown duck but wasn't a problem and easy to get into town on the golf cart or a long walk or car. Overall a great place! Would have given it 5stars but the furniture and fixtures could use updating but they were clean which was most important.

This home has so much personality! The views are so very wonderful! Lot's and lots of room in the house for family time and privacy when wanted. She will make you feel like you are at the beach and NOT want to leave. The neighbors (including rental guests) were good quality. Beach access is fantastic. A very clean and well taken care of beach. A very safe street. Absolutely fantastic walking into town (about 1.8 miles). Easy walk, great exercise, and of course DUCK is fantastic. She is an older home, so be patient, but remember you are at the beach, and she will give you a great beach vibe. We will be back next year. Very much worth it.
