This place had everything we needed! Hot tub, fire pit, grill, games, waterfront, amazing sunsets, berries on the vines, shower, toilet, refrigerator, small freezer, dishes, Netflix, DVD and blue ray player, pellet stove, dog area, close to shopping, close to local attractions and beaches!

Honestly, Tillamook factory was a cluster but Blue Heron was quaint with excellent cheese varieties. The best by far, though, was The Oyster Peddler. 3 min drive from the yurt, oysters on the half shell, best clam chowder ever... We also really enjoyed the Pelican Bay brewery.

Three capes scenic drive is beautiful - and worth the time. The Oregon coast in March is not a sunny dry experience - but there is nothing like seeing the rocky shoreline and sandy beaches through a near fantastical mist. Last time I traveled to the coast I spent hours scouring the beaches for a single whole sand dollar - and found one on our last morning there (this was 30 years ago) - this time we found over 30 - Oceanside beach is a particularly nice spot for beach combing! Ice Cream at the Blue Heron was wonderful, and with flavors true to Oregon production!

Fish Peddler at Pacific Oyster restaurant in Bay City is great! Ambiance a little factory-like (because it is) but the clam chowder was the best we had in our entire week on the coast, and we ate it every day at different restaurants!

Our visit to Munson falls was a cool experience, it felt like it was a secret we'd been let in on.
We took a drive through the capes and went to lookout beach, both were beautiful and our dogs loved the beaches. We couldn't get to the 3rd cape however because of road closures.

Kilchis Point Reserve. It's basically in the neighborhood and has a few miles of nature trails and informative plaques along the way. Cape Lookout is always a great hike, and the beach below is beautiful and secluded. The hot tub at sunset is a don't miss as well!

Bay City, is really a blink of an eye...nothing there, but the Fish Peddler...which is where we got out oysters to BBQ. If you are opposed to the smell of cow poo, then you may not like this area...as we heard one dad put to his son "we are not experiencing the other side of dairy farming" as a they were eating their ice cream :o)

Tillamook is just down the street. The Cheese Factory's were fun to visit. The tide pools just north of Garabaldi were spectacular. Check when the tide will be lowest so you can walk through the rocks. We rode the trail from Garabaldi to Rock Away Beach. It was beautiful and relaxing. Close to so many things to do. Nice and quiet, far enough away from the busy bustle, but close enough to enjoy some touristing.

The house is close enough to Tillamook or Bay City for groceries, yet far away enough from everything to be very peaceful. We went wine tasting at the Blue Heron Cheese Company, and would highly recommend it. We drove to Netarts and spent the afternoon on the beach.
