The beach was perfect for our dogs!! It wasn't very busy, and there was so much for them to explore with all of the drift wood, kelp, and other various treasures. Tillamook was only a 20 minute drive for exploring and getting supplies at Fred Meyer.

Loved being close to the bay, the ocean front, and any shopping needs (Netarts and Tillamook).
Short beach was wonderful for a bit of agate hunting!!
The bay was great for cockle shells (for the kids), clamming, and abut of bird watching.
The Tillamook Cheese factory is always a good idea as well!!

The cabin was right on the beach and the view was stunning. There is a back patio area - one you walk down, there is a grassy area with a fire pit, then some rocks, and then the beautiful sand. While there are homes/rentals on either side, it felt very private and peaceful.

Our family enjoyed the small and friendly area of Netarts. Even though the home is not directly on the beach, it is a short (downhill) walk to enjoy the bay. The scenic Hwy area allows for slow travels and fairly safe area to walk. If you enjoy digging around on the bay this home in the perfect location.

The Tillamook Cheese Factory is interesting and fun, though crowded. Schooner's in Netarts has excellent food. Of course, the beaches and parks along the coast are gorgeous; especially Ecola State Park. Make sure to layer clothing; it's chilly on the coast!

We tried to do two fun things each day! Blue Heron Cheese Factory and wine tasting, and Tillamook Factory were great. Rockaway Beach and The Old Oregon Smokehouse for chowder. Loved playing and running on the beach at Netarts, buying crab at the local grocery. We spent a day at Pacific City and tried the brewery. Every day was super!

Go see the daytime bartender at the Upstairs. When we told her about our trip she recommended we see the Octopus tree, lighthouse, fish peddler and when we extended our trip to go more places for a few more days she recommended a few places to see on our trip up the coast. It was great. Of course favorite place see the Tillimock Cheese Factory and try the 4 year vintage sharp white cheese. Melt in your mouth.

The Schooner Restaurant and Bar--great family place, but a great bar for the adults.

Oceanside is a beautiful beach just a couple miles north and Cape Lookout State Park is a totally different beach to the south. Netarts is a great location to base your adventures.

Lex's Cool Stuff is always a pleasure to go in and browse and you can walk there in less than 4-5 min. You will leave feeling you have just made a new BFF. Lexie will greet you with one of her homemade brownies (to die for) welcoming arms and a story to tell. Ask her about all the pennies on the ground.

The comments below were not favorable . Think Doe Hill needed a little more love for the money. never the less some candles and Xmas lights and good food along with spectacular beach weather and a great Ducks Game at the local pub put every thing right. We had a great time and walked miles on the beach .
