The walk to the top of Mt. Maxwell, though a bit strenuous, yields a great view of the ocean, beach, and Oceanside. You may even see some parasailers jump off the cliff.

I have been coming to Bernie's Castle for 47 years. The entire area is beautiful. Three Capes scenic drive. Netarts Bay. Cape Meares. Bay Ocean. Blue Agate Cafe' serves a most marvelous breakfast and lunch and the owners and staff are the very best. Try the crab cakes!! We also loved driving the back roads east of Tillamook.

Beach walking is our favorite activity, followed by hiking the trails. The high tides and rainy, windy weather limited these activities, but Bue Sea Cottage was a great vantage point for watching the waves. The grandboys loved the Octopus Tree and the beach tunnel.

Roseannes was delicious. The marionberry cobbler was heavenly. The Blue Agate cafe was closed during our stay. If you like seafood check out the Old Oregon Smokehouse Fresh Seafood Market Fish-n Chip and Chowder House located right across from the Tillamook Cheese Factory. The crab melt was divine. We also enjoyed the crab cake and chips and the fish and chips.

the selection of videos in the home, the cave on the beach, right below the parking lot, the gentle waves, perfect for boogie boarding, the nice long sandy beaches. We were able to ride our bikes along Netarts bay by parking in the large parking lot at a local restaurant (schooners I believe) and biked to Cape lookout state park. A great ride, with just a few gentle hills for novices like me!

I took a 3 mile walk down the beach to the restaurant down the road. I had a few drinks, and walked back. Way better than driving as the roads are windy, but it had a full bar and a little more life as opposed to the neighboring cafe.

Oceanside was very beautiful and secluded from the hustle bustle of tourist towns on the coast. There are not many options for restaurants in Oceanside which is great for relaxing in a quiet environment without traffic of others. Nearby Netarts and Rockaway do have some dining options so you don't have to go too far. The ocean right in front of the unit would be great for surfing if you have your own gear.

The tunnel through the cliff at the north end of the beach leads to a rugged, secret-feeling beach (best at low tide)
  • Oceanside

    Kevin O.

Definitely check out the tunnel under the cliff that you can walk through to get to another beautiful beach during low tide. We ate at Schooner's and the food was awesome!

The two little restaurants in town were our favorite spots we ate at. And if you are a Pokémon Go fan, there is a rare Pokémon spawn right outside the house. We caught so many Pokémon, we had to drive into Tillamook to refill our bag at the Pokémon stops.

The view is excellent, but there is no beach access from this home. We were told the beach access was only about 100 yards from the home. This is true if you want to climb down a steep hill! You will find public beach access about a 1/4 mile down the road.
  • Oceanside

    Rosa G.

  • Oceanside

The Blue Agate cafe was friendly, and
the breakfast super. The fresh homemade maple bars a delight. Just sitting on our deck, which was right off the hillside, I could spend hours there in front of the ocean, drink and book in hand.

Love the entire Oceanside experience! Oceanside has been our family vacation spot for many summers, but this was our first time staying at Oceanside Inn. We were very satisfied with the high quality of the room we stayed and we are certain we will come back again next summer. We love Roseanna's Cafe and that is the only place we go to eat.

My family has been visiting Oceanside since before WW II so we know the area well -- spent time every summer there. Roseanne's has been a great addition. We love the hike at Lookout Point and getting to Lost Boy's Cave whenever the tide is low enough. Both my parents and my uncle's ashes have been spread in the ocean there so it has a place in all of our hearts.

Cape Mears lighthouse was awesome. The beach was cool. There was a small tunnel at the north end that led to a rocky and secluded beach area. We also visited the Tillamook cheese factory. Very fun weekend stay in Oceanside.

We loved the Lost Boys beach. Better dining options or suggestions other than Roseanne's would be helpful. Maybe some ideas on in-home cooking.

The entire Tillamook coast is beautiful with great beaches for walking and trails for hiking. We really enjoyed eating at Both Roseanna's and Blue Agate Cafe. The coffee shop is across the street is a bonus since they not only have good coffee but they also have six taps for people who want a beer .

We absolutely loved this part of the Oregon coast. It is essential to visit turtle beach as well as the next beach over, which I tsent in our maintenance concerns while we were there.hink is called Oregon rocks Beach. There is no official parking lot, there are just cars parked on the side of the road and a small sign that indicates that there are steps down to the beach. You will likely find very few people there, but it's one of the prettiest beaches I've ever been to in my life. The tide pools there were amazing. We also strongly recommend taking the beach hike at Mears state park in addition to visiting the lighthouse and octopus tree. The hike is a bit strenuous, but very well worth it if the weather is good. Although it's a little further down the coast, Cape Kiwanda is great as well. There is a fantastic dune to hike up and run down there that our kids loved.

The Schooner in Netarts had great fresh seafood - be sure to request a table with the fire feature on top of the table. Roseannes in Oceanside was a great place to have dinner. Be sure not to miss the Octopus Tree and Light House a few miles down the road.

Oceanside is a quaint seaside town. The beach is one of the most beautiful in Oregon. Grab a cup of coffee or enjoy the crab cakes for breakfast at The Blue Agate. Cape Meares and Cape Lookout parks, both just minutes away, are a must. Visit Cape Meares at sunset - the summer crowds are gone and the sunset view looking back at the three arches is breathtaking!

Beach was a nature wonderland with the star fish, sea anemone, mussels, etc. We got up early so the tide allowed us to go around the bluff. The sea lions/seals sunning themselves on the rocks were a special sight.
  • Oceanside

    Curtis C.

We love the area and the beach. Roseanns is a great place to eat. We will return. The beach is one of the best beaches on the Oregon coast. Oceanside is a good starting place for Cannon Beach and Newport.

We rented the whole house - it is beautifully appointed, well stocked and well kept. There is a spectacular view from each home - often from several rooms in the home. We enjoyed grilling on the Homestead deck for our entire crew - again a terrific view from the deck. Hang gliders drifted over as they made their way from Maxwell Mountain to the beach. We enjoyed walking up to the top of Maxwell Mountain (an amazing view); walking through the tunnel to Little Beach (the kiddos loved climbing on the rocks and playing in the dunes), and we all spent a lot of time on the beach and in the water. Dinner altogether at Rosanna's in Oceanside capped our wonderful week.

Cape Meares, Cape Lookout, & the beach are great. I have been to Oceanside many times for beach access before and it is a quiet beach town, with less to do than other Oregon beach towns, but when you expect that it is not a problem.

The day we visited Cape Meares, near the parking lot there were volunteers associated with Oregon's Wildlife Department that had telescopes set up to allow visitors to view bird nesting sites on the rocks and cliffs. But visitors need to know that the scenic drive road between Cape Meares and Tillamook is closed.

Oceanside is a small community without a lot to do--which is exactly what we wanted. We spent our time wandering up and down the beach, collecting rocks and watching the birds, and enjoying the peacefulness of the area. The town is located between some interesting spots. We hiked Cape Lookout to the south and explored Cape Meares to the north (very close to Oceanside). Tillamook is about 20 minutes away if you want to visit the cheese factory. We even went to Astoria (about 2 hours) and explored other towns along the way.

Loved being on the ocean front and exploring the beach and cape lookout. The town is kind of sleepy so there are no crowds which is nice. There are only about 3 restaurants in town and they are all right next to or across the street from one another. Be sure to hit up the Safeway or Fred Meyer grocery store in tillamook before heading out to Oceanside as there are no little markets there. We loved looking through the binoculars and watching the seals on the rocks.

Most beautiful spot on the Oregon coast!
My daughter has collected agates at Oceanside for the past 15 years. It is amazing how different and yet how the same the Oceanside beach is every year. It is a beautiful puzzle to ponder and a wonder to enjoy.
    1. The tunnel - what an adventure
    2. Walking around the front of the tunnel at low tide! - How exciting to be able to do something at low tide that you can't any other time.
    3. The agates, agates, agates
    4. Roseanna's has such a beautiful view, is so convenient and has delicious food.

Our favorite place in the world is Oceanside.

If you go on the weekend and plan on breakfast get up and go early as there's only one restaurant Blue Agate open until 9am and they are small but really really good. If you don't get in before 8-8:30am the wait turns into an hour +

And wanted to go bottom fishing. I had reservations to go out and when i arrived they told me its been cancled. Like it was common or not a big deal, and told me to check depoe bay. Forgot the name of this company but they are located rite on the main street of garibaldi. Be careful not to waste your time it is a gamble fish the barview jetty. Or crab at the jetty fishery.

Definitely try Roseanna's restaurant for a seafood dinner. If you like hiking, look for a very low tide and hike north up the coast to see lost boy caves--there's a little rock climbing involved (not much but be prepared) and be sure to return before the tide comes back in. It's fun for the more adventurous type.

Just below our beautiful oceanview home was a place where a delicious restaurant awaited our visit called Roseanna's Cafe. I had a delicious marinated prawn plate with veggies and couscous in an amazing spicy chili sauce that was perfectly blended! Then I shared the delicious Marionberry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream of course, with my friend! Prices are high, but I split my plate and dessert. Also, the million dollar view out the window with hang-gliders floating by and an amazing sunset was worth every penny!!

Grab a few items for the kitchen as well. We bought a few pans, cork screw, and a few items to leave in the room for future guest. The more people add the more that will be there for future visits.

Being in Oceanside for the 4th of July was a great experience, a fun parade and fire works on the beach, everyone in our party had a wonderful time and want to make it a yearly treat.

We enjoyed visiting Three Arch Rocks and the Cape Meares Lighthouse, and took lots of walks through Oceanside and along the beach, but the home was so lovely that we didn't want to leave it for long. We stayed in quite a bit, and it was heavenly.

We loved walking and exploring at Oceanside Beach early in the morning when the tide was low. We enjoyed visiting the following places near Oceanside: Cape Meares Lighthouse, Munson Creek Falls, Garibaldi Maritime museum, the Garibaldi jetties, Tillamook Cheese factory and Blue Heron Cheese factory, Debbie D's sausage factory, and having dinner at Roseanna's café and breakfast at the Blue Agate (both in Oceanside).

Brewin' In The Wind is the local coffee shop in Oceanside and also serves food. It is a fantastic little café. The service there is wonderful, so is the coffee and food. We've been going to Oceanside for 4 years now and they have been very friendly and gave us great service every single time we've been there.

We LOVED the area. Recommend going to Schooner's Lounge in Netarts. The beach at Oceanside is fantastic. We found better customer service in businesses in Netarts than those in Oceanside. Not sure why. We walked out of Roseanna's in Oceanside when we stood there waiting for a table and no one even addressed us even to say- "we will be right with you". A couple people in our party also tried to grab a beer in the place across the street from Roseanna's and the waitress was very grumpy.

Location, Location, Location. Oceanside a small community with an amazing beach. Out front is a nice sandy beach with little to no rocks. Just to the North is a large rock outcropping that has a tunnel carved through it and on the other side is a completely different beach landscape. You have large rocks and tide pools mixed in with wonderful sand and surf. This is one of my favorite spots and only 10 to 15 minutes from Tillamook which has a Safeway and Fred Meyer for grocery shopping. Don't forget the Tillamook Cheese Factory for some free samples and wonderful ice cream!

Brewin' in the Wind is a little cafe and espresso spot. Great for brunch and a hot beverage.

The Schooner Restaurant and Lounge (a bar and a restaurant with separate entrances in the same building). Fantastic for happy hour oysters! The lounge has quality bar food, the diner has creative NW/Asian inspired dishes in hefty portions. Delicious.

We were very pleased with the quaintness of Oceanside and the cozy nature of the quiet community overlooking such a beautiful natural setting. It was perfect! Although the Cottage was well equipped with kitchen supplies and since this was our 45th anniversary we enjoyed our eat outs at Roseanna's and the Brewing in the Wind.

Love Oceanside, love the cottage-dear to our hearts. Cottage is cozy and comfortable. View is amazing. Most everything you need is at hand. Bed was fabulous-so soft and comfortable and sheets were great-love the electric blankets this time of year! Price increases make it impossible for us to spend the usual 12-16 days. :( The beach is the best. Love Roseanna's, Blue Agate Cafe, Brewin' in the Wind. Take a trip to the Pelican Pub in Pacific City. Cape Meares, the Octopus Tree, Cape Lookout are all must dos!
