Kaitlyn M.Try Old Oregon Smokehouse! Yummy fried foods right across from the park. Great for lunch.
ELTON T.I would really like to see some more upscale restaurants the food was amazing though.
Adrian G.The Frugal Crow is a great thrift shop; I stop by every time I'm in town and find something to like. Hope Chest is also good.
Camille C.Offshore Grill had some non-fried options other restaurants seemed to have a majority of fried foods
Meghan W.Bar view Jetty!!!
Cassie L.Beach access was so convenient! View was great & condo was well stocked with everything we needed. It was a really nice relaxing trip.
Konrad K.Walking on the beach was very nice. There is also a railroad track to follow if you are so inclined.
Lisa K.Check out Oregon Du Drops- a really cool store that sells Oregon rain that has been collected in various months and years / very sweet and special.
Lori B.Loved this stretch of new, unexplored beach. I've never stayed this far north of town. It was wonderful!
Timothy G.Oregon Smoke House. Best smoked salmon. Excellent clam chowder. Excellent fish and chips.
Lauren O.Beautiful property with lots of room and lovely view. The beach is a very short walk.
Julia S.I actually loved that the window didn't directly face the beach - since there are no curtains it felt a little more private and the shoreline was stunning!!
Laura C.Easy access to Tillamook cheese factory going south and about thirty minutes north to Cannon beach. Excellent location.
Kayla S.We loved this house! Location was perfect. Rockaway is such a cute little town. Rain or shine I was out on that front porch every morning. I do not recommend this house for families with young children, we were there celebrating our youngests first birthday. I went for location, I booked it before he started walking, stairs are not to code, a bit scary. Also, there's no bathtub. The bedroom upstairs my husband and I stayed it.... every night I smelt cologne, I'm assuming it was on the comforter?? Either way, the house overall was very well stocked, beautiful view, and clean. We had so much fun. I would book this home again, as an adult only trip.
Zach B.Beautiful coastline that felt very secluded over this rainy weekend.
Elizabeth N.The beach was a beautiful view from the building. There wasn't really anything in the area of much appeal besides the beach.
Simon L.We enjoyed good seafood at the Sand Dollar restaurant in Rockaway. I love the entire surrounding area. The only sad part are all the clear cuts.
Jeannine R.Beautiful long stretches of beach to enjoy.
Isabel C.We went to the Lakeside Hideaway Bar and Grill and it was good basic food. We enjoyed it. We stayed for Karaoke and it was GREAT. I'm a karaoke fan anyway, but I have rarely been to a place with so many good singers. Who knew?

Evelyn S.Many!! Just start wandering, you will love the little shops and restaurants, fresh crab and shrimp and it goes on and on
Michael Y.Twin Rocks is an awesome view at sunset, especially if you can catch the sun through the hole in the rocks. Lake Lytle is a nice little lake for fishing and to float in a canoe or kayak. Some great local eateries including Old Oregon Smokehouse and The Sand Dollar.

Mackenzie O.After our day at the beach, we had a great time picking up souvenirs at Flamingo Jims- which is an experience in and of itself! Very fun and unique shop, that goes beyond just a run-of-the-mill gift store. Also, they allow small dogs inside the store, if they are held (an obvious bonus for pet owners)!
Carie S.Since we visited during Christmas, a lot of places were closed. But we didn't feel like we ever needed to leave for anything.
Suzanne M.Sand Dollar Cafe was great!

Mark A.We enjoyed being in between the tourist towns of Tillamook and Seaside.
Ruth M.Trash and Treasures was a cute little shop with the SWEETEST people ever running it. It was a Tuesday in the off season so it's a much quieter town than it is in the Summer. They were not expecting a group of 30 something year old women to walk in that day. They were delighted and incredibly kind! The store has a lot of neat little treasure and knickknacks. Nehalem Bay Winery is just about 15 minutes away and we enjoyed every minute of our wine with the man working the tasting room that day. I think we all left with a bottle or two. We also hiked Cape Falcon which was incredible and not too far from Rockaway.
Steven B.Besides walking on the beach right outside the condo, we also enjoyed walking at Oswald West State Park, which is a short drive from the condo.
Daniel L.Very central to nearby Tillamook where you can enjoy a self guided tour of the factory, and of course get some of their freshly made ice cream. The house is in a safe area surrounded by mountains and beauty. The beach was lovely and we enjoyed watching the family of seals in the area near the jetty each morning and evening. We collected sand dollars on the beach. We loved the clouds, rain, fog and mist that enveloped the mountains during the fall.
Emily B.Buttercup in Nahalem. Has the absolute best homehand icecream and chowder. So worth visiting, and don't forget the vintage store next door. It's not over priced like all the other shops on the coast. You can still find a bargain.

Theresa S.Take a day just to drive up the coast and stop at the many places along Pacific Coast Hwy 101. The train ride along the coast was fun but you have make a reservation for the dinner option a week in advance. Adam L.It was the "pirate festival" in Rockaway Beach. The kids loved it!
Melody H.We ate at 2 restaurants in town. The sand dollar- staff were nice, food was bland and expensive, view of ocean from where we sat was really nice, overall we didn't care to return. Grumpys- we left before our waiter even came to our table. A couple dining across from us wispered "good decision" as they saw us get up to leave and we shared an awkward giggle. None of the staff seemed to know what they were doing and the aforementioned couple tried to make a request to their waitress and she treated them like idiots. Wouldn't recommend. We also grabbed some ice cream from a shop on the main street. The ice cream was good, the service was super awkward and the woman and (I'm assuming) her son who served us had no desire to make the customers feel welcomed. We felt like we were burdening them. HOWEVER just outside Rockaway Beach, in Gribaldi, there's a new restaurant (they had been open 6 days when we ate there) that was perfect. I don't know the name and they were so new they didn't have a sign yet, but was next to the motel there on the main street, we had burgers, blt, fries, all of it was wonderful. Staff was amazing, we went back the last day and ate again, same great experience.

Sherry C.From Rockaway we went South to Cape Mears lighthouse and of course the Tillamook Cheese factory. Seeing the oyster shucking at the Pacific Seafood Company in Bay City was interesting. Even when they aren't shucking the oysters, there is a looping video in the dining area showing how they are farmed and harvested. Don't miss the mountain of shells piled near the highway!
In Rockaway, I liked the "Rock Garden" ~ a funky little place full of interesting rocks that you can take as you want. They do ask for a donation but it's totally voluntary.

Jessica L.We were so close to the beach, it was great. The beach was not crowded either.
Erin T.The Offshore cafe for breakfast and the Sand Dollar restaurant for dinner were great!

Greg P.It's amazing to have a beautiful beach just a few steps from the back door. Very neat as well being able to view the majestic 'Twin Rocks' right from the dining room. My wife and I find Rockaway to be in a great central location with Cannon Beach only a 30 min drive to the north and Tillamook only a few minutes to the south. The house is only a short walk also from the main Rockaway business strip. The Sand Dollar restaurant on the beach is a bit pricey but the clam chowder is very tasty.

Shekhar O.Definitely go closer to the Twin Rocks for a photo session: drive to NE (not NW) 7th Ave, turn right on it and park in the tight parking space close to beach access, and walk towards the beach for the closest view of the Twin Rocks. Jenny E.The creek was fun for the kids and we enjoyed Sand Dollar and Beach Bite for dining.
Marisa M.Grumpys Cafe
Juliana M.The beach near the property is beautiful, but there is no official access. You have to go through the access of a property for sale or of a camper if it is unoccupied. It is also not in walking distance of the town of Rockaway Beach, but a short drive.
Debbie H.Had some good meals at the Sand Dollar and great beer tasting at De Garde, which is South of Tillamook.

Thomas L.Beach area was great
Kathleen B.Rockaway Beach doesn't have much in the way of restaurants. ..but I recommend, without reservation, nearby Kelly's Marina....rent your boat and baited crab pots, bring in the crab that you catch and they boil it on the spot. Nicest people! Also recommend the Tsunami Bar & Grill in nearby Wheeler (just 6 miles). Their seafood chowder is the best on the coast and the salmon fish &
chips is divine
M. Sami K.closeness to the beach and the view are awesome
Terence N.Awesome breach front location and we can hear the ocean. The building at the front blocks some views but we can see the Twin Rock and the sunset. I setup an action camera + tripod and did some time lapsed photography (10 sec intervals). Seeing the clouds moving in and out quickly is awesome. Rockaway Beach is an old town. Not such activities that bring excitments. Tillamook Cheese Factory Tour and the Rockaway Beach train are very good.

Rhettleigh M.Beach was wonderful and not crowded. The town is a walkable distance.
Michelle P.The new Sand Dollar Restaurant was amazing! Great service, location, and delicious food. We went there multiple times during our trip.
Avoid the Dos Rocas Mexican Restaurant though - we waited over an hour for two meals, subpar food, received no apology, and then the waiter charged our card for the wrong amount after it all.
Doreen C.JUST THE WHOLE TRIP,THE HOUSE, AND THE LOCATION WAS BEAUTIFUL.
Holly D.We got some wonderful fresh salmon and oysters in Garibaldi fish market (the place with the big pile of oyster shells) and cooked them on the grill. There are lots of fun shops to visit in town-just a short walk along the beach. We happened to land during Pirate Festival which was fun for the children. Darrell M.Grear fishing for surf Perch right there on the beach! Kite flying was also a blast as it was pretty windy!
Wallace Y.Clean sandy beaches at Rockaway, Garibalbi and Nehalem. Don't miss the Beach Train Ride.
Amber L.Tillamook is 12 miles south, it's a beautiful drive and we were able to pick up take and bake pizza from Papa Murphys. Seaside is about a 40-minute drive North we stopped at the Safeway there on our way down. There is a market across from the cottage as well as a really fun tourist beach store!

Lisa S.This house sits right on the beach, which allows for daily walks. Just a 15 minute drive to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Also would recommend stopping by the Tillamook Goodwill. Awesome selection of clothing, if you forgot something. I would also recommend stopping by Richard's in Rockaway. It's the shop with all the bright colored birdhouses. He has a very unique shop, hand crafted wood, glass and jewelry all created by Richard. Just not the honey, the local bees made that.

Alicia W.All the parks along the coast were beautiful and easy to get to.
Mary A.We really enjoyed the south jetty at Manhattan Beach. Also, in the neighborhood was a small pond that we were able to put our personal kayak in. These small coastal dune ponds/lakes have community boxes stocked with life jackets. There was a larger lake on the east side of 101 called Lake Lytle that was a good put in for the kayak.

Stephanie R.I've been to this beach many times and usually stay at a friends Beach House. This time there were too many ladies to fit in one house so we rented Aunties House. It was very clean, comfortable and conveniently located to the beach and shopping. We walked everywhere!
Our favorite place is the Little White Church Antique store. I almost always fine some good treasures there and this trip was no exception.
Maureen L.The beach itself was all we needed! We did travel north about 30 minutes to hike Neahkahnie Mountain which was gorgeous - do wait for a clear day, though, as we arrived at the top to see only fog even though we could hear the ocean below! Still a gorgeous woodsy hike, though. The scenic overlooks around that section of the highway - between Neahkahnie and Arch Cape - are incredible and worth driving just a few more minutes north to see. Also - get your groceries in Tillamook before heading there as the little "market" in Rockaway Beach is more of a convenience store and the next nearby grocery in Manzanita was pretty pricey. The Blue Heron cheese and wine tasting place in Tillamook is also a fun stop to load up on wine before heading to the beach!
Amy H.Barview jetty
Kristi J.Old smokehouse has great food!
Geri S.Beach Bite Restaurant - great food and great service
Coffee shop on north end of Rockaway Beach (can't remember the name of it) - very good food and coffee, really nice people working there

Ananda B.Very clean and nice beach, pleasant and comfortable beach walk for miles, or you can even bike end to end. We enjoyed at the beach in the morning, afternoon and during sunset too.
Susan L.We enjoyed access at the end of the road to the jetty. There are tide pools and sea lions. During the week there were very few people. We enjoyed great weather.

Corinna H.Old Oregon Smokehouse for take-out. Very friendly, incredible clam chowder and fish & chips.

Todd P.Tillamook Cheese Factory
Amber J.We love the beach because it is not as crowded as Seaside or Cannon Beach. Also, we like the central location between Tillamook and Seaside. It's easy to get to both towns within 30 minutes to enjoy their sights.

John B.pirate's cove resturant
DOUGLAS B.Loved the beach and coastal views
Christin B.We loved the Trash and Treasures gift shop a few blocks away.
Lily C.Great beach access within half a block. Loved Blue Heron in Tillamook and the Rogue Brewery in Astoria. Locally, Trash & Treasures has some surprising finds and the grocery mart across the street has a wide selection of items. Pelican Brewery in Tillamook was low-key and had nice outdoor seating.
Alyca A.We loved the Offshore Grill, which was recommended in the Ara Vista info book. Great breakfast!
Erin G.Tillamook Cheese Factory
Ralph H.It was nice being so close to the beach! And walking distance to grocery store and restaurants, we found sand dollar restaurant the best place to eat in town.
Ryan B.Kelly's Marina- awesome first-time crabbing experience
Bonfire on the beach!
Mary S.there are a lot of things to see within a short driving distance. we stayed 2 nights so we could see more things in the area vs. just driving on like our original plan was.

David C.Park side Cafe in Garabaldi
Molly F.We participated in the SOLV beach cleanup, which was terrific.
Marcy J.We really enjoyed spending as much time on the beach as possible. The local shops were great too.
Brian W.st. marys church by the sea had a perfect 2 person bench for oceanfront sunrise. the only downside was the waste management plant at the end of the block, cant really do anything about that just a smelly inconvenience when your down wind from it
Molli C.Rockaway is a great place for beach time. As for the town itself, there's a couple cute shops and cafés, but really it's more about beach location and enjoying time there.
Brenda R.We tried to go to Sand Dollar for breakfast, but they don't serve breakfast, we ended up at Pirate's Cove (a little south of Rockaway) and had a wonderful breakfast! The antique shops in Wheeler were excellent!
Jennifer M.We enjoyed the Tillamook Air Museum on this trip. It was a first, and our boys (ages 9 and 10) thought it was one of the highlights of the vacation! As always, you can't beat the beautiful, practically private beaches.
Rose L.Grateful for the local market. We forgot spices/herbs and the kitchen only had salt, pepper, sugar. We were able to buy various items at the market , walking distance, including a soccer ball!
Jenny A.You suggested the restaurant where your office is located, which looks nice, but to take a large group is close to impossible as they do not take reservation as we found out on Monday. With minors the wait would have been long and they were kinda rude. So we called down to Pirates Cove and got right in and had a fantastic meal. I would tell groups over four people to call first before loading two cars and heading into town.
Christine S.Sand Dollar restaurant was awesome!!
Richard G.Love flamingo Jims
Marilyn S.Munson Creek Falls is nearby and an easy walk to the falls.
Quiana T.The beach

Irene C.We stopped in and blew our own glass egg. It was on 5th street. Great experience.
Steve J.Cape Meares, Tillamook Cheese
Teresa L.Kelly's Marina was a blast- we went crabbing for the very first time and it was awesome. We loved the breweries and the wineries. We traveled up and down the Coast and enjoyed the beaches and the views. It was a wonderful family trip.
Jesse J.Great beach access from the house
Joanna D.The Rockaway Beach library and city park were nice. But the beach was the best!
Sara B.We love visiting Flamingo Jim's, getting coffee at the roadside coffee stand and at the café across the street from the condo (Offshore Grill), we enjoy going to Mass at the beautiful church right off the beach, St. Mary's by the Sea, running on the beach in the mornings, watching the sunsets from the decks of the condo... and just enjoying the beauty and family!
Krysta S.There's a great little souvenir place across the street, Flamingo jims, I think, and a couple shops where you can get Tillamook ice cream cones within walking distance.
Lauren S.Cannon Beach, the beach right across from the house with the twin rocks, Tillamook Cheese Factory
Mary C.We love how "un-populated" the beach is. We stay in rollaway because it's quiet.
Rachel T.The beach was great but the whole town seemed to be under construction and our walk there was muddy. I was also unaware that a block from the beach meant we needed to cross the highway.
Elyse P.Manhattan Beach was fun, it's a great place to fly kites
Gene H.The Sand Dollar was a great place for breakfast. The staff was exceptionally friendly and great coffee. The breakfast burito is a must.
Kathy S.The drive up to hug point at low tide was really enjoyable. The tide pools and caves were very interesting.
