It's not just any day you get to spend time just steps away from the Caribbean Sea. Luckily, our Ambergris Lake Villas vacation rentals are the perfect place to make the most of the experience. Spend days basking in the sun, diving beneath the waves to view the Belize Barrier Reef, and spend your nights enjoying the exciting town of San Pedro
Where are Ambergris Lake Villas?
These elegant vacation condos are located on Ambergris Caye, the largest island in Belize
. Though the island is a bastion of natural beauty and culture, it's small enough that the main form of transportation is a golf cart. Zip around in the fresh air and see the sights, or take a short stroll to find souvenirs or a great cup of coffee at Caye Coffee Roasting Company. The laid-back island of Caye Caulker is just 20 miles south while the Belize City on the mainland is just over 40 miles away.
Amenities & Things to Do at Ambergris Lake Villas
Modern and well-equipped, these two- or three- bedroom condos each have at least two full bathrooms, gorgeous views of the Caribbean Sea (and for some, the Belize Barrier Reef!), WiFi, full kitchens, and private patios or balconies. Go for a refreshing swim in the outdoor freshwater pool, or take advantage of the resort's tour and excursion booking. If you'd rather explore on your own, you can rent a bicycle or golf cart and get out on the town. There are even free ground transfers with the San Pedro Airstrip and laundry service!
Any scuba divers or adventurers will not want to miss an opportunity to dive here! The Belize Barrier Reef is an amazing spectacle, with over 500 species of fish, over 60 kinds of coral, and many more colorful forms of life, where time will pass all too quickly as you marvel at it all. If you prefer to stay above water, that's fine too - you can always go sea kayaking or stay on land to sunbathe and explore the colorful culture and delicious cuisine.
Day Trips from Ambergris Caye
Just a few miles away, the limestone coral island of Caye Caulker
has tours of the protected Bird Sanctuary, where you can see over 100 species of birds and all their tropical colors! Caye Caulker is also a famous destination for windsurfing, kiteboarding, and sailing with its constant offshore winds, and its extensive sandbar allows for an unreal experience of fly fishing in the ocean.
If you're looking for more of a city experience, the former capital, historic Belize City
, is worth a visit for the museums alone. And if you're lucky, you'll be there during one of the fabulous events, like the Belize City Carnival, Baron Bliss Day, or the annual Street Art Festival. From here, you'll also find plenty of opportunities to tour Mayan ruins, trek through jungles, and float down rivers that run through underground tunnels.
Don't settle for less than the best - these upscale vacation rentals by the beach will leave you dreaming about Belize for years to come!
