A lovely seaside resort town, Torremolinos is a perfect choice for your next trip to the stunning Andalusia region. On top of the sunny beaches and ocean waters of Costa del Sol, the town has one of the most varied selections of attractions in southern Spain! From amusement parks during the daytime to drinks and dinner at night, there's always something close by your vacation rental to keep you entertained in Torremolinos.
Soft, golden sands and gentle waves of the Alboran Sea await you at either one of Torremolinos' four main beaches. To the south is La Carihuela, a small stretch of beachfront that makes for a nice stop during a trip to nearby Benalmádena. The main stretch of beach, El Bajondillo, is over three miles long, giving you and your group plenty of room to find a nice spot to relax. You can take in the stunning beauty of the ocean at a distance from Punta de Torremolinos, or up close with snorkeling and scuba diving from companies like Simply Diving.
Playamar Beach attracts water sports enthusiasts and anyone looking active fun, with plenty of equipment for rent including paddleboards, kayaks, and parasails, while palm trees and bars along the beach offer shade (and refreshments) from the constant sun. The most secluded beach of the bunch, Los Álamos, is the favorite among kitesurfers, who find swells and winds to glide on year-round. Come here to relax and watch their acrobatics, but be ready to welcome a crowd by sundown - this is the premier spot to watch the sunset and the beach clubs soon become lively.
After a long day at the beach, recharge and freshen up at your vacation rental, then hit the town! Restaurants, bars, clubs, and more line the Calle San Miguel, just a few blocks from the beach. Dance the night away at Passion Disco, dine at Restaurante Kathmandu, and treat yourself to a drink at Viking Bar - just make sure to save some energy for tomorrow!
Torremolinos has several family-friendly destinations to try - not the least of which being the town's amazing water park! Aqualand Torremolinos is a massive water park offering everything from thrilling slides and wave pools to relaxing lazy rivers. Also nearby is Crocodile Park Torremolinos, which will wow kids and adults alike with a stunning collection of massive aquatic reptiles.
There are more low-key ways to spend your day, though, such as the Miguel Angel Jimenez Golf Academy, where you can work on your swing. The gorgeous La Batería Park lets you take the family for sunny strolls and gentle boat rides on the man-made lake! Whatever your idea of fun, you'll have plenty of options near your Torremolinos vacation rental to choose from.
If you didn't get enough amusement park action in Torremolinos, don't worry! The city of Benalmádena, just under six miles southwest, features more thrills and excitement at Tivoli World and Sea Life Benalmádena. If taking in the local culture is more your style, head 11 miles north to Málaga instead. The birthplace of the world-famous artistic visionary Pablo Picasso, the city has a stunning array of museums and galleries for you to explore - as well as restaurants and bars to try. Wherever you choose to go, you'll never be far from the seaside.
