Things to Do in Lloret de Vistalegre

In a town with an economy that revolves mainly around agriculture, livestock, and just a handful of tourism establishments, it's no surprise that harvest season is a big time for celebration. Plan your trip to coincide with the beginning of August and you'll be lucky enough to participate in Es Sequer, the town's annual celebration in honor of the fig harvest, where you can indulge in more delicious food than you can probably handle!

If you come any other time of the year, don't worry - delicious food is available year-round. A few of the local favorites include Restaurant Sa Comuna and Es Fasser Bistro, and the family-run Restaurant Es Pou Nou. Of course, with a local market taking place every Wednesday morning just down the road in Sineu, you might pick up some fresh ingredients such as olives, tomatoes, snails, and veggies to cook with the flavor of Mallorca in your own rental kitchen.

After feasting, head over to the local park and sports complex to burn off some calories. Here, you'll find miles upon miles of paved and unpaved trails for hiking and mountain biking through a beautiful natural area, as well as a couple soccer fields and an outdoor swimming pool. At the very least, getting some fresh air will help you sleep better when you retire to your comfortable Lloret de Vistalegre vacation rental.

Day Trips from Lloret de Vistalegre

The countryside of Mallorca is a beautiful sight to see and is certainly worth exploring. Rent a car or motorbike to see the landscape of rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards sprawl out before you. If you're fit and adventurous, you might explore by bicycle like many Tour de France athletes do on these same roads while training for the Tour de France.

On your way, you might stop by the town of Sant Joan to marvel at the traditional architecture of the Parroquia de San Juan Bautista church or the Santuari de Consolació monument. If you're lucky, you might catch one of the frequent festivals that occur there, as well. Make a trip up to the shopping mecca of Inca, just 12 miles from your vacation rental, on a Thursday to experience another market filled with locally-made leather goods, carved wood, and jewelry, which you might purchase for yourself to remember your time here, or for folks back home.
