Boasting tranquility and the simple life, Senecelles, a small city on Mallorca in the Balearic Sea, will charm you with its luxuriant agricultural landscape of vineyards, fig and almond trees, and three major rivers.
It's size - about 2,300 people - renders it a serene location for all your pastoral explorations. For a true glimpse at the charming Mallorcan lifestyle, come to Senecelles, and allow yourself to be transported. Staying in one of our lovely vacation rentals will further ensure the ultimate travel experience, complete with far more privacy than you'd experience at a hotel.
Senecelles sits in the center of the island of Mallorca, just 17 miles from Mallorca's capital, Palma. Well-situated to serve as a home base for day trips to explore the island, this little agricultural burg is only seven miles from Consell in Mallorca's wine country, 11 miles west of Alaró, and 15 miles east of Llucmajor.
Pay a visit to Son Prim Vineyard for an enjoyable day of touring and tasting. With the vineyards planted in the 1990s and the winery built in 2003, Son Prim is a fairly new addition to Senecelles and runs a thriving business. Sample the Cup for a hint of licorice, the Cabernet for a little spiciness, or the Merlot for its berry base and long finish. Or treat yourself to a long, leisurely stay and sample all three.
When you want to venture out and explore, head 28 miles southwest to beautiful, diverse Calvia, and on the way, stop off at Palmanyola, just 10 miles from Mallorca's capital, for horseback tours through lush mountain and olive groves, as well as spectacular shows and entertainment. Head on down to Palma for gorgeous beaches, a tour of a castle and the magical Cavern of the Dragon, and a visit to the aquarium.
And of course, if you want to explore but not venture too far from home, you can visit mountainous Alaró for some hiking, or historic Llucmajor for shopping, golfing, and other activities.
All that sightseeing is sure to bring on an appetite. Luckily, you won't be at a loss for delicious dining options in Senecelles. Have a nice dinner out at Sa Cuina de n' Aina and enjoy an inviting atmosphere, scrumptious food, and amazing hospitality. For great pizza and other Italian dishes and a smiling staff, check out Pizzeria Ca S'Arquitecte, and if you're after a burger with a stylish vibe, make your way to Forn Can Pep.
No matter where you're staying on the stunning archipelago of the Balearic Islands, you're sure to have a lovely experience. Add one of our vacation rentals to the mix, and your vacation will be unforgettable.
