Life in Son Servera

Founded over 700 years ago by James I of Aragon, the Mallorcan city of Son Servera is a peaceful place for tourists looking to relax during the summers. Shops and restaurants radiate out from the center of town, with historic sights like the Església Nova church and Església Vella de Sant Joan Baptista offering ancient stone facades to admire.

Son Servera is a nice place to visit every time of year, but the summertime, in particular, is worth planning for. Saint Joan, the town's patron saint, is celebrated with a week-long fiesta beginning the 24th of June, which features traditional folk dancing, a farmer's market, and more. Whether you dine at the food stalls outside or bring home farm-fresh ingredients to cook up in your vacation rental is up to you.

Day Trips from Son Servera

Fortunately for beachgoers, Son Servera is only a short distance from the town of Cala Millor, a resort city with a large German community. Unique cuisine and sandy beaches await you here. To the northeast, Costa de los Pinos offers golfing and high-end luxury. Farther north, Artá has a bustling atmosphere to explore, while Colonia de Sant Pere is farther still on the northern coast.
