Things to Do in Olmué

Olmué is one of the most popular choices for Chile vacation rentals, due to its central location.The community hosts one of Chile's largest music festivals, the Festival del Huaso de Olmué, each February. The festival celebrates Chilean folklore, as well as traditional Latin American singers from countries like Bolivia, Peru, and Argentina.

When in Olmué, pay tribute to Capilla de La Dormida - a National Monument built in 1645 - worship at Iglesia del Niño Dios de Las Palmas, or listen to live music while enjoying a picnic at the town square Plaza de Armas de Olmué. Look for wild cats like colocolos and pumas at Parque Olmué Nativo, a 2,705 hectares nature sanctuary, then cool off with a dip in a local swimming hole surrounded by lush forest at Poza the Coipo or Los Condores.
