Recent Midcoast Maine guest reviews

We had an amazing time at the Dome House. We spent a few days here watching the tide come in and out, and eating almost all our meals out on the deck. The house is very comfortable, the wifi was fast and the kitchen was easy to use. We even managed to host a couple of friends over for a dinner of scallops and lobster. As it is pet friendly, we took our dog to all the local preserves and especially liked the views at Porter Preserve. It's pretty close to Boothbay Harbor, so we went into town a few times for drinks and shopping. (We found a bookstore where all the books are $1!) It's so quiet and peaceful at night, and I enjoyed stargazing--both outside and through a skylight in the loft. The house was beautifully decorated with the owners art, and it was fun to match some of the paintings to views from the kitchen!

The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee, olive oil, spices, and anything else a guest might need. The dishes and cookware are top of the line.

It was a wonderful week of exploring Maine's Acadia National Park and visiting the little towns. The house was always a welcome sight after all the daily activities. We would book again.
