The location was great, you are a short walk away from the beach and lots of amenities. The apartment was clean and there were lots of fun decorations. Overall an amazing place to stay at a great price.

The condo itself was lovely. Apart from some minor cleanliness issues. One of the beds was not made when we got there and the proper sheets for it were missing. And there was a cup with a lip print on it in the cupboard, which was kind of gross. But other than that, it was a beautiful condo with a beautiful view. The condo building and its amenities like the pools and beach area however was disappointing. There were issues with guest at the condo getting into fights. Two of which happened the very first night we were there. Nothing extreme, but enough to startle our kids. And there was no one around to help with the issue. There was also an incident where a guest on the top floor threw trash and glass bottles out their window, which caused the only outdoor pool to be shut down and drained so that the broken glass could be cleaned out which took the outdoor pool out of commission for the last two days we were there. That was disappointing because our very last day we got to spend there was a beautiful day and yet you couldn’t swim in the outdoor pool. And it was hard to tell if security had done anything about the people who had caused the problem. There was also a very cute outdoor bar that the resort that was actually advertised and one of the reasons we chose Camelot however there is apparently an issue with getting their liquor license and so the bar was not open. I don’t know the South Carolina state laws, but no attempt was made to bring in an independent bar service or to partner with the restaurant that was only 10 feet away from the condo to allow you to grab a cocktail at the restaurant and bring it back to your spot at the pool. Which is a minor inconvenience however they advertise this outdoor bar as being a special thing that they have and since it is not up and running, it was very disappointing. They also do not consider spring break week as part of their season, so they were still doing work on the building when we were there, which meant for the entire week we were staying there they were power washing the building, which made for some very loud noise in the morning and blocked off areas of the condo throughout the day. all in all it was a fine place to stay, however, if we return to Myrtle Beach, which we hope to do, we would go to a different condo as we visited friends of ours at a condo just up the strip, and they not only had all of the indoor and outdoor pools that Camelot had, but they also had waterslides and outdoor games for kids and an open outdoor bar making it a much more desirable place to stay.
