Gorgeous, dog-friendly cottage with large deck - just one block from the beach!

This Pacific Beach vacation rental house is one short block from the ocean, has an enclosed yard, grill, and large deck. Located in downtown Pacific Beach, it is a spacious cottage ready-made for Washington Coast getaways. Listen to waves and enjoy the peek-a-boo water views while gathered around the sunroom game table. Roast marshmallows in the private outdoor firepit, or beachcomb your way up three miles to the Moclips River. Indoors, it has a well-equipped kitchen, a gas fireplace, plenty of popular books, games, and puzzles. Built in 1920, it is one of the few original cottages remaining in Pacific Beach. Be sure to watch "McQ,” one of John Wayne's last movies, featuring scenes in the interior of this home! You’ll find it in the video library in the hall cabinets. The Museum of the North Beach is just up the road towards Moclips and highlights photos and memorabilia from the movie, as well as local history and artifacts. Surf-fishing and razor clamming are popular at the dozen nearby public beaches. You can even drive on the beach in certain areas. The Beach House is a perfect location to access recreation and sites on the Olympic Peninsula and National Forests.

What's nearby:
Pacific Beach State Park is less than two blocks south and offers an incredible 2,300 feet of Pacific Ocean beachfront activities that include picnicking, kite-flying, camping, fishing, swimming, clam digging, and beachcombing. Take a drive less than two miles south on State Route 109 to the restaurants and retail shops at Seabrook. There is nothing not to like. It's nicely laid out for entertaining and can certainly hold a lot of people, It's charming, practical and comfortable. We have always come in the shoulder seasons (April or September), but I bet it'd be great in the peak season to make full use of the fire pit, yard and deck.

Cutest little house! Perfect for our girls weekend. It’s close to the beach and coffee shop. We really enjoyed our stay. Only thing is the outlets are not easily accessible in the bedrooms. Extension cords would be great!

It's a beautiful house , walking distance from beach.

Great home, well-stocked and accommodating for guests. Just a block from the beach and we loved the outdoor deck for dinner and watching the people go by. Lots of seating and sleeping options, and really great decor and comfort all around.

The house is warm and inviting. Fireplace was great after a day on the beach. Living room had cozy seating to sit and knit or watch tv. Beds were very comfortable. Cooking marshmallows over the campfire was great fun. Great place to bring the family! Easy walk to the beach.

Everything! It was so clean & cheery. We especially appreciated having everything we needed to prepare a meal there. We also appreciated having such a great view of the ocean from the house! We'll be back for sure 😊

We had a great long weekend at the Pacific Beach House. The house was super clean and well set up for adults and kids. The beach is just down the street and you could see the Whitecaps of the ocean from the house. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks.

Quaint, comfortable, well-stocked, clean. Easy quick walk to the beach. Management company was super helpful (decided to extend stay and was confused about lockbox - responded immediately and resolved issue). Will definitely stay again!

The house is a very short walk from the beach and the local store. It was roomy and comfortable with all the comforts of home but none of the stress! We are looking forward to a return visit!

Close to each, quiet.

Cute home, not that great for small children or pets. There are no screen doors on back door, front door or deck door. Hard to maintain good air flow on hot, humid days and hard to contain kids. No washer and dryer, only given 6 towels for 6 people in a 3 day stay so that was difficult. The fence is not enclosed on one side and a section in the front is only stretch plastic. The yard is huge and has a great fire pit. Well stocked kitchen. Not many channels on the cable for kids. No baby gates provided and back door is a fall hazard. Also, the back door and bedroom doors seemed to stick a lot. Could be an issue for safety in case of emergency. Great deck.
Manager response:
Thank you so much for the review, and we are happy to hear that you had a great stay with us! That being said, we do apologize if some inconveniences occurred and wish we had known during your stay so that we could have helped out. We appreciate your feedback regarding the sticking door and screen door. Please note this home has a screen down on the sliding glass door, the back door has been fixed and now opens smoothly. The windows do have screens. By the way, you were the perfect guests, and we look forward to next time!

Cynthia O. Jul 2019
Cozy and clean! Beware though, yard is not fenced in if you plan on leaving your dog outside by himself.
Lynda W. Jul 2019
This is a great spot for a relaxing long weekend or vacation. There is lots of room to spread out. The porch and deck are sweet spots for enjoying your morning coffee. The cottage is very nicely appointed so you really can fix all your meals at home if you like to do so.

We loved everything about the house! Super close to the beach, kitchen is stocked with cooking tools, plates, and silverware. Wish the weather was nicer when we were there. Guess we'll have to come back!

House is very close to magical beach, it is inviting, comfortable and cozy. You have ocean views from the living room, porch and the kitchen, It is located across the street from the inn so you will see the parking lot from the porch, there is not much traffic though. The kitchen has all the necessities for cooking. The backyard is large for kids to run around. Our family had a great time. Thank you.
Shannon F. May 2019
The Beach House is well-appointed with plenty of dishware, utensils, books, pillows, and movies. Our dog loved the fenced yard. The sunroom is a great bonus for dining and enjoying the view. The house is next to a coffee shop and only a block from the beach access.

This was a great place to stay.......bright and cheery, was well equipped for everything. Much nicer and larger than one I stayed in a couple weeks before for a comparable price.
Linda S. Apr 2019
The canine was awesome. One block from the beach. All amenities, you want for nothing. Going back in November.
Michael S. Apr 2019
We've been coming to the Beach House for several years. I enjoy most everything about it from the funky books to the history. A nice abundance of space and proximity to town.
Michelle O. Mar 2019
Such a cute place. Just a short walk to the beach.
Jeannette H. Feb 2019
House was comfy, open floor plan. Small but nice view of the ocean/beach. Walking distance to everything. Espresso bar right next door was great. Love there is a sitting room to remove shoes when you walk in as well as a mud room to hang jackets by back door store misc and leave shoes! Cute beach house. Would stay again.
Margaret B. Dec 2018
This house is right next to the local friendly coffee shop. The house had all the amenities of home and was quiet cozy. We definitely stay here again.
Debra W. Oct 2018
Enjoyed the house very much. Very comfortable. Nice yard for the dogs. Has one side not enclosed but the yard is large so it worked out fine.. Near the beach and an easy drive to Moclips or ocean shores. Would definitely stay there again.
