Lofted, modern cabin w/ wood stove, deck & country setting - bring the dog!

Fully renovated and beautifully decorated, the Mosier Ranch Cabin is a cozy and comfortable space on a tranquil, three-home, 18-acre ranch in Mosier. This modern cabin features a wood-burning stove, a combination air conditioning, and heat unit in the wall, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a furnished deck with a glass patio door overlooking a pond and the peaceful countryside, plus a small grill. Beside the cabin is an outdoor garden area with furniture carved out of a huge fallen tree. Relax in this cabin after a day spent hiking, wind-surfing, antique shopping, wine tasting, or cycling (on the adjacent gravel road that winds its way all the way to Hood River.)

What’s nearby:
This rural property sits three miles south of Mosier and the banks of the Columbia River. Spend a day walking or biking the Mosier Tunnels Trail that overlooks the river, or launch a kayak from the downtown beach launch. Sample the local wares at Analemma Wines and Garnier Winery nearby, and then take some time to peruse the Mosier Farmers Market on Sundays. Spring wildflowers make Mosier and neighboring Rowena Crest a beloved spot for hiking and photography. And be sure to sit down for dinner at Mosier Company, the local watering hole that often features live music, just a scenic three-mile drive or bike ride from the property. The cabin is 100 feet away from the accompanying farmhouse, giving a full sense of privacy. Because it is a working ranch, you may hear goats bleating, roosters crowing, the tractor working and lots of birds singing.

This is a neat little cabin with a nice location between Hood River and The Dalles. Very friendly and welcoming hosts.

This cabin was great! Nice location that felt secluded, but still close to town and lots of hikes in the area. We loved the chickens and goats - fresh eggs for breakfast was a huge bonus! No cell service, but wifi was available and they have a landline for phone calls. Well equipped with wood for the fireplace, spices, cookware. Overall a wonderful experience!

This cute cabin is very well maintained. Very comfy. Beautiful surroundings. Delightful. Goats, chickens, a rooster that will let you know it’s time to get up. Along the Mosier Creek. Wood burning fireplace. Was even gifted fresh eggs. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us and our pup.

This cabin is delightful and has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

We appreciated the well-furnished kitchen (note it’s stovetop-only, no oven) and layout of the space for a couples getaway, but were surprised to discover that the heat did not work. It was below freezing each night but we stayed warm by building fires in the wood stove with the firewood/matches provided. The place was clean but with the lack of heat, small water heater, and in a compound of multiple buildings, it felt more rustic than the price, descriptions, and reviews suggested. Overall we enjoyed Mosier and some great winter hiking but we were freezing in the mornings!
Manager response:
Hello Claire, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We do hope you contacted our 24/7 guest service, so we could assist with the issues with the heat. We have confirmed with our local manager the heat is working correctly. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we can host you again.

This cabin was everything we needed it to be. Quiet, comfortable, perfect location for short 20-30 minute drives to great hiking, waterfalls, and fun.
Helpful tips: stop for coffee at the local store, if you don’t want to travel to the local shop. Lighter for stove would be helpful as well.

This adorable little farmhouse cabin had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. The space is just right for a quick getaway, very nicely appointed with comfy bedding and just what you need in the kitchen to make basic meals. The place was even equipped to accommodate our little dog, with a special dog feeding tray, bowls and a roll of bags! The property is charming; goats and chickens wander past at various points in the day and there's lovely vegetable and flower gardens to look at. Walk just off the property and you can head up several different very lightly traveled gravel roads for a nice little walk/hike through some lovely natural landscape. The internet connection isn't fast, but you shouldn't waste your time on the internet in such a lovely place! It's there for basic web browsing and checking your email. Just enough internet, as far as I'm concerned. We really enjoyed our stay!

We loved staying here! Location was perfect. Its close to hiking and the property is beautiful. The owners of the property are really nice and they have a friendly dog and farm animals. The goats were my favorite part :) The cabin is really clean, well decorated and cozy. I really wish we could of stayed another night. We will be back for sure! Also, the unit is dog friendly!

The cabin itself was neat as a pin. The owners have a beautiful friendly dog. There are goats and chickens and even turtles in the pond. I spent every evening after dinner with a glass of wine on the deck until well past sundown, listening to the crickets and the breeze in the trees. We love Mosier and this place just added to our enjoyment. Thank you!

The kitchen was well equipped with nicer pots and pans and all the tools we needed. Plenty of towels. The highlight was the owner’s big, sweet dog, who greeted us and visited whenever we came or went. There were also goats and chicken in a separate area that could be entertaining.

Beautiful country location in the hills. Comfortable and very clean.

I absolutely loved staying at this Mosier Ranch cabin. It was so well designed to maximize space. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you might need, and the little table outside was the perfect spot to eat breakfast and watch the birds. The hosts were incredibly responsive and hospitable, making me feel right at home. This is a lovely spot just afar enough away from the bustle of Hood River to feel secluded but close enough to be completely accessible to all the town has to offer. I only wished I could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the "Barnhouse" Mosier Ranch. So much fun! Very peaceful, relaxing setting, immersed in the surrounding serenity of nature. Their property is beautiful, situated on a pretty little pond & creek. We were able to explore the farm, visiting with the goats and chickens! The homeowners were even nice enough to let us pick some fresh veggies from their garden :) A truly added bonus! we loved the little tiny home. Extremely comfortable and cozy, we enjoyed relaxing by the wood stove. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a full meal, and the little grill on the deck worked awesome! We will definitely come back to visit soon!

We loved staying here. Clean, comfortable and charming little property. The owners were so friendly along with the people in the little town of Mosier which was a nice change from the hurriedness of our life in the city. We loved the sounds of nature and the cosy loft bedroom. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area if you are feeling ambitious and beautiful scenic drives if not. Would definitely come again!

I would say 4 and 3/4 star, if only because the shower handles were not on tightly and the grill was difficult to work (with instructions posted awkwardly on the outside side). Otherwise, a great "cabin" in a great location. And pet friendly to boot! I would definitely recommend this to friends and hope that we can come back again.

We loved staying at this stylish tiny little house! We were one of the first people to stay here, and everything was brand new and very clean. We liked the well equipped kitchen and the spacious living room. The area is very quiet, which makes this place perfect for a getaway.

Great place and location! Good for a quiet getaway but also lots of great access to fun in hood river and the Dalles.
