Riverfront with stunning views and private hot tub near Smith Rock State Park!

Tranquil and lovely, this Terrebonne home is right on the Crooked River. You'll enjoy the beautiful scenery from the windows and deck, as well as the privacy of being off the beaten path.

With the Crooked River Gorge just outside the back door, there are fantastic views from the windows. Smith Rock State Park, a popular destination for rock climbing, is just a mile to the north. This State Park is known internationally as a destination for sport and trad climbing. Smith Rock is also great for hiking, birding and wildlife viewing, and was identified as one of the Seven Wonders of Oregon by Oregon's Tourism Board. Five miles west is downtown Terrebonne, which has some nice shops and eateries; if you feel like a bigger city, take a day trip of 27 miles to nearby Bend, which has breweries, shopping, and more.

The open-concept living spaces feature large windows and phenomenal views of the gorge, and are great for groups who want to engage in separate activities while still enjoying each other's company. Comfortable sofas and chairs offer a place to relax while listening to music on the stereo, and a pretty wood stove warms the air.

Shoot some pool in the sunken pool table area, or if people want to watch a DVD, there's a TV in the master suite. Some board games, appropriate for children, can be found in one of the bedrooms and you will also have WiFi here.

You'll find everything you need to whip up amazing meals in the kitchen. Wake up in the morning and make your preferred morning beverage in the coffeemaker, French press, or blender, then prepare a delicious breakfast for your group. There's plenty of chopping space, and the stainless steel appliances are simple to use.

If you caught some fish to cook, consider using the gas grill outside. Have a seat at the table on the deck, partially shaded on sunny days, and appreciate your meal in the crisp outdoor air. There's also a patio area in the backyard where you can relax and continue enjoying those spectacular views of the cliff. Don't forget to soak in the hot tub!

Three spacious bedrooms provide space for parties of up to eight (no more than six adults, please). The master bedroom has a queen bed and a TV and DVD player, and double glass doors leading outside to the deck. Best of all, it has an en suite bathroom where you can slide into the jetted tub after a hard afternoon of climbing and soak your muscles. In addition, there is a crib in case your group includes very young children. The second bedroom has one queen bed, while the third has two queens.

With two full bathrooms, there's no challenge in booking mirror time in the mornings. Don't stress if you didn't pack a lot; a private washer and dryer keeps up a steady supply of clean clothing.

Groups of friends who like rock climbing will adore this home, though adventurous families will also find it to their taste. The proximity to Smith Rock State Park makes jaunts to its excellent hiking trails and rock climbing easy. Explore on foot or on mountain bike, and expect to see a lot of wildlife!

Terrebonne is small, but has some eateries worth visiting. Go for a burger at Pump House Bar & Grill, or the surprisingly good Terrebonne Depot. If you're up for venturing farther afield, Bend has more upscale places like the fantastic Ariana Restaurant, as well as wonderful entertainment options such as the Roundabout Art Route tour and live music at the Summit Saloon and Stage.

Come to Central Oregon for the views, stay for the joy of some quality time with your favorite people!

Beds were comfy, clean home and awesome view. Be prepared to walk into a 54 degree home upon arrival. One TV in master bedroom (no batteries to operate) and lack of privacy.
Manager response:
We will have our local staff address the TV. Than you for bringing this to our attention. We look forward to hosting you again soon!

The privacy of this property and the landscape will renew your soul. So peaceful and beautiful! I was sad to leave. The house was perfect, great size, very clean and cozy.
Melisa K. Jul 2019
We had a great family holiday. Fantastic location with beautiful scenery. House had everything we needed and ideal for family.
Joshua A. Jun 2019
While the house isn’t perfect for the price, where it fell short the staff pushed above and beyond with their friendliness, concern, and problem resolution.

Besides, that view. The patio. The hot tub and master bath? Just drink a beverage and relax!

This rental home is basically glamping in Smith Rock State Park. Surrounded by towering rock spires, the views from the property will leave you in awe. It was less than a 20 minute walk to Smith Park's entrance, where you can climb, hike, bike to your heart's content. The house is very comfortable. Nice pool table, which got plenty of use. Hot tub with sunset views over Smith Rock.

One note that the property line in the back of the house is not suited for the weak of heart or littles still needing supervision.

This was the second time we have rented this house for a ladies weekend, and we were not disappointed! In the last year, there have been upgrades to the kitchen and one of the bathrooms, so what was already a very comfortable house is now even better. The hot tub, the ability to walk to Smith Rock State Park for hiking, the gorgeous scenery...this house has it all. We wish we had known it was BYO firewood for the wood stove, but otherwise, it was a perfect stay. We can't wait to come back!

beautiful views and a fantastic property!
Elizabeth W. Feb 2019
The location is amazing. We were there during a snow storm, which was beautiful. I imagine summer time and being able to utilize the outdoor space more makes it even that more stunning.

We enjoyed cooking and having some pool games. A very comfortable house for our climbing teamcompeting at Nationals. Thank you.
Tracey G. Dec 2018
We loved everything about our stay! The house was gorgeous, and it’s proximity to Smith Rock made for breathtaking views!
Elizabeth G. Oct 2018
We had a great time here, and will be back. It is in a beautiful area, and the hot tub and pool table are a nice bonus. The beds are a little soft though.
Robert H. Sep 2018
This is a spacious, well equipped and comfortable house, spectacularly sitting at the edge of the vertical rock gorge of the Crooked River with an equally spectacular view of Smith Rock formations.
Matt I. Aug 2018
The proximity to Smith Rock State park is unreal. I would have thought this property was in the park, as it is steps from the park. Nice house, good pool table, good wifi, good patios, comfy beds. Needs a little TLC inside, but overall, we enjoyed the stay.
Barbara T. Jul 2018
Wonderful view.
Lyle C. Jul 2018
House was great. View amazing and wild life everywhere.
Julie A. Jul 2018
We enjoyed our stay at the Smith Rock Casa. We were four adults and two small kids and the space was a good fit. The place was clean and well appointed: nice linens, plenty of towels, and a well-stocked kitchen. The outdoor space was a highlight -- what a view!
Anais A. Jun 2018
Everything is so great about this house and location. Just stunning!
Nate P. Jun 2018
This is our second time renting this incredible home. Absolutely perfect.
GINA S. Jun 2018
We loved staying so close to Smith Rock and waking up to the amazing views ! Great house and open space !
Deborah W. May 2018
The location was amazing--we loved sitting in the hot tub and watching the sunset at Smith Rock. The house was perfect--the rooms were comfortable and spacious. And the kitchen remodel (we have stayed here before) was beautiful. We'll be back!
Ed M. May 2018
The house is in a great setting - overlooking the river and near the end of a private road.

The living room furniture is comfortable, but there were no reading lamps at all in there and only two wall sconces for lighting. It was fine in May since we could sit outside, but I wouldn't stay there in the winter.
Manager response:
We do have lamps provided in every room, and we will ensure the home is adequately lighted for the dark winter days. Thank you!
Jeffrey M. Mar 2018
Probably the best place we've ever stayed and we travel à lot.
Joseph V. Feb 2018
This house was great for a family with kids - it was very kid-proof in the sense that we weren't constantly worrying about breaking something or falling down stairs. The location is also great near Smith Rock.
Julie R. Feb 2018
A group of 7 of us rented the house for a ladies weekend. It was 3 days/nights of bliss. It's quiet, peaceful, with beautiful sunsets and a sky full of stars. The house has everything you need and more, and while it could use a bit of updating (new carpets, dated kitchen), everything was clean and well kept. We didn't even get around to using the pool table with all the hiking, game playing, hot tubbing, eating and more to do. We loved the wood stove and the swing on the cliff edge - what an amazing place to drink your morning coffee while the sun rises on the jagged peaks across the river from the house. You can walk to Smith Rock park in about 20 minutes from the house - do this. Don't drive...parking is difficult after about 10am, especially on weekends. Some of us even did a quick trip to Mt Bachelor - only 45 minutes away! Great location, great house. We can't wait to come back.
Jeff K. Oct 2017
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is unbeatable for getting away from it all and refueling with nature and family/friends. Absolutely stunning location. The house is in decent shape and you can tell there have be recent improvements including a back patio that we spent all day playing cards and enjoying the views. The kitchen was well stocked complete with assorted cast iron skillets.

Notes: Bring your telescope and binoculars. Between watching climbers scaling the sides of the massive rock formations to killer star gazing, you would be thrilled.

People with young children should be well aware that this property butts right up to a several hundred foot cliff.

All in all, a perfect place for a quiet getaway. Can't wait to go back.
Lance L. Aug 2017
I rented this property for a joint vacation for my family and close friends to see the total eclipse. It comfortably accommodated 4 adults and three children. This house is quiet with amazing views of the surrounding rock formations. Its great seeing deer (and a fox) in your yard every morning. Take note of the warnings about the backyard. The canyon s very deep and very steep. Be sure to keep an eye on the kids.
Helena M. Aug 2017
Great location, beautiful home, well stocked.
Annie R. Aug 2017
Very close to Smith Rock park. Beautiful views of the lower gorge from the backyard. Mama and baby deer paid us visits during our stay. Couldn't have enjoyed it more!
Linda C. Aug 2017
Nicely equipped 3 BR, older home is a bit dated but large and well furnished. Yard is within yards of Gorge-not good for young children.
Diane D. Aug 2017
The positive aspects of this home are that the location is extremely close to Smith Rock and the views from the yard are spectacular. The house itself is so-so with a minimal amount of furnishings. The blinds in the bedrooms block very little of the sun. This is wonderful if you want to get up at 6am and go hiking. If you want to relax and sleep in, it would be great to have blinds that are less transparent. Also as mentioned in a previous review there are no bedside lamps. If you want to read a little before you retire, you need to get up and turn off the overhead lights.
Dwayne T. Jun 2017
One of the most breathtaking exterior spaces we've ever had the joy of renting! Just terrific scenery abounds, very private and quiet...we recommend you just sit on the back palapa and watch the wildlife! The canyon is about 20 steps away, and beautiful high desert rock formations are right in view.
Pamela M. Jun 2017
Close to Bend and Sisters for shopping, eating, and nightlife. Daytime takes you to fabulous hiking and biking activities at Smith Rock. Golf courses are easy to access--we recommend Aspen Lakes. River rafting in Maupin was an easy drive--go with Deschutes River Adventures, they have fantastic guides.
Home was just so/so. Patio dining was wonderful. The "no shoe" rule was strange--we rent vacation homes regularly and this was a first.
Glenda B. Jun 2017
Beautiful setting and awesome view of Smith Rock.
Kristin W. May 2017
Very please with the location and views from this property. Right on the cliffs of the crooked river, and sunset views from the hot tub over Smith Rock! Location is down a dirt road, but the privacy and secluded make it worth it the drive.
George D. May 2017
We had a blast hanging out here for a much needed long weekend. The views and the property are amazingly beautiful. If you are looking for a comfortable place to relax and get away from it all don't hesitate to book this house.
Amy S. Apr 2017
Great proximity to Smith Rocks. Beautiful view. Love the pool table and backyard patio.
R T. Apr 2017
Fantastic location and a great property! The house was clean and had everything we needed to have a wonderful time. Highly recommended!
Luis E. Mar 2017
Great, quiet, comfortable house for lots of friends. Minutes walking to Smith Rock. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises -plus there is a great new hot tub. Highly recommended! I can't imagine a better place closer to Smith Rock State Park.

This house has great space for your next family gathering. Comfortable bedrooms, all with great views of Smith Rock State Park.
Nathan P. Dec 2016
Such a great location near Smith Rock with amazing views. We really enjoyed our stay.
Mary Kay B. Nov 2016
Our multi-generational family gathering was delighted with this rental property. The views and proximity to Smith Rock cannot be beaten, and the house had everything we needed to comfortably hang out, have fun and cook family meals together. The rental process was also a breeze with good communication throughout. We are already planning a future visit when it is warmer and we can enjoy the lovely outdoor patio and swing overlooking the Crooked River.
Naomi W. Oct 2016
I stayed at this rental for a climbing weekend at Smith Rock. It is an excellent location, the property is amazing, and the Vacasa staff were helpful and polite. It is close-by to shopping and restaurants to stock-up for supplies -- after a long day of climbing - beer, Cold Stone and grilling on the patio is heavenly. Thank you Vacasa, for everything to make my trip wonderful.

Stayed here with my husband for our honeymoon and it was perfect the only complaint was that access to the river is not safe or easy from the property but we do intend to come back and next time we'll be bringing people with us, we had a wonderful time paying pool in the house and the surrounding area of terrebonne had so much to do we didn't have enough time to get to everything!
Mitch P. Sep 2016
we enjoyed out stay - played golf at Aspen Lakes and Juniper golf club
also spent a day at the Breathtaking Painted hills
overall enjoyed our stay at this house !
Ravi R. Sep 2016
I love this cabin, it is exactly like shown in Pics, even more Beautiful than that.
I would Highly recommend this place to others
Yocheved G. Aug 2016
the house itself is nice and clean but the real reason to stay here is the backyard view it's gorgeous.
Leah N. Aug 2016
Booked this amazing location for my best friend's bachelorette weekend. Location was amazing (a short distance from Smith Rock and hiking), views were incredible and the property was perfect for us to have meals outside and do Yoga in the lawn on the hot days we were out there.

Thank you for making this property available! Would come here again in a heartbeat.

Kyle F. Aug 2016
Very nice place to get away
Danielle P. Jul 2016
The view was amazing! The house is private and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!
Rosalinda & Oscar O. Jul 2016
Will do it Again in Terrebonne, Oregon !!!!
Cara L. Jul 2016
I thought the photos might be exaggerated but they don't even do justice to how beautiful the views are here. The house is a little dated but very comfortable and well set up for entertaining. We enjoyed the pool table, outdoor BBQ and patios on both sides. We loved the visits from local wildlife (deer, marmots, lizards) and the easy access to Smith Rock. And all of this only 40 mins drive from Bend. Highly recommended!
Matthew H. Jun 2016
Great house that is set off the beaten path. May take you a little driving to get to places in and around Bend, but in my opinion it is worth out. Tucked back outside Smith Rock with fantastic views it is just what you want to experience the beauty of Eastern Oregon. I definitely recommend this to anyone headed out this way!
David P. Jun 2016
We rent homes on almost every vacation, and this was one of the beautiful locations we have ever rented. However, the weather was very warm and we needed to use the Air Conditioner. Unfortunately, the AC fuse blows out frequently, which means you will need replace the fuse on at least on a daily basis like we did. (if you are not maintenance inclined, you will not be able to replace the fuse). Attempting to place a trouble ticket with Vacasa was not a good experience, but the local maintenance workers were great which almost made up for the difficultly with contacting Vacasa.
Manager response:
We are so pleased that this was the most beautiful home that you have ever rented! Thank you for letting us know about the trouble you had with the air conditioner. Since your stay it has been fixed and will no longer blow a fuse when being used. All of our guests going forward will be able to stay nice and cool on even the hottest of Terrebonne days.
Aaron P. May 2016
Everything was great ! I would highly recommend to others to use this space! Folks I was with were seriously considering it for a wedding destination.
Benjamin C. Apr 2016
I am almost reluctant to post a review because I feel like I am giving away a map to a secret buried treasure. This house couldn't have been any more perfect. Beautiful views, walk to the crag, great house! We plan on making this a regular destination.
David M. Apr 2016
Spectacular views and location. Outdoor area is 5 star, however the house is a bit awkward and could be 5 star too with a few minor adjustments like: comfortable indoor seating to take advantage of the views instead of a pool table, a nightstand with clock and lamp would be nice.
Wendy C. Apr 2016
Overall the house is great location. Nice and quiet with magnificent views.
Alyssa H. Apr 2016
Perfectly situated a mile away from Smith Rock State Park, the Smith Rock Casa was a great "home base" for our climbing weekend. The house is open and spacious, with three bedrooms, four queen beds, and two full bathrooms. Large windows in the main living area look out over the upper Crooked River canyon to the Marsupial crags. Overall, a great choice for your time in Central Oregon!
Meg K. Mar 2016
Our stay was very enjoyable. The location of the house is perfect for enjoying Smith Rock. Gorgeous views and a quiet atmosphere. Perfect place for a vacation!
