Rustic mountain-view cabin with private deck & fireplaces

Showcasing astounding mountain views and authentic log cabin stylings, this contemporary rustic retreat is just what you need for a relaxing escape from the hustle (but not the luxuries) of city living. Built with trees felled on the property, it is located on a ridgeline, with panoramic views of the White Mountains and in direct line of sight of Mt. Washington.

On several private acres, this hand-hewn lodge sits just three miles outside of charming downtown Littleton, offering a convenient location close to your choice of year-round recreation. For the skiers, opportunities abound with many of New England’s greatest resorts all within an easy drive: 20 minutes to Cannon, 30 minutes to Bretton Woods and Loon, within an hour to Attitash, Wildcat, Waterville Valley, and 90 minutes to Jay Peak and Stowe. Swim in the Ammonoosuc River seven minutes away, or drive 15 minutes to one of three nearby lakes. Enjoy great hiking and xc skiing in virtually every direction. In summer, keep your eyes on the meadow for turkeys, hedgehogs, porcupines, deer, or an occasional bear or moose.

Catch a sunrise or sip cocktails while you stargaze from one of two porches. Inside, you'll find the space itself well-appointed for carefree home comfort. The main floor includes a large eat-in kitchen with hand-cut countertops, new stainless-steel appliances, a cast-iron farm sink, and a large living room with a double-doored wood-burning fireplace on one side and a cabiney yellow screen door and mountain views on the other. A cozy ground floor retreat is a great place to plan expeditions and adventures, sitting aside the wood-burning stove or relaxing in one of two sitting areas. Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms and a budding art history and design library. The coveted primary bedroom boasts 16ft ceilings and a vintage chandelier for the romantics. Two of the three bedrooms have mountain views (while the other is a comfy hideaway).

Additional conveniences include free WiFi throughout, heating and AC via five ultra-efficient and rapid mini-splits to keep the whole climate controlled no matter the season, a commercial washer/dryer, a utility sink, two full bathrooms, board games, stereo system. A seasonal gas grill is equipped for summer cookouts.
