The home was exactly as described. Nice layout and nicely furnished. It was clean and had fresh towels/linens. Could upgrade to a Keurig vs. coffee maker (no filters available at the house). Screen porches were perfect for the mornings and evenings. Pool within the neighborhood was well maintained and cleaned regularly. The bungalow is in a great location to access all the spots within Sea Pines. Amazingly close to a beach pathway - 10 min walk/2 min bike ride. Would definitely recommend this property

35 Night Heron is a perfect place for a couple.. or a couple with 1 or 2 kids.. or 2 adult couples if you are minimalists. The “cottage” is nicely decorated with many original watercolors, nice comfortable furniture, good dresser space, heat lamps in the bathrooms, plenty of outlets and a somewhat well furnished kitchen. (We would have liked a cutting board and small saucepan) but glassware and utensils were plentiful. Great location! 10 min walk to beach and lots of wonderful bike paths all over Sea Pines. Loved biking the beach which worked fine with out hybrid bikes (no need for fat tires) January is a great time if you don’t mind a bit of a chill and love having the beach to yourself. Sadly, the porches were too cold to use bec they don’t get any sun, but having privacy on that side was very nice. Highly recommend Pinkney Island National Wildlife refuge for a wonderful secluded walk or bikeride. Overall we would definitely return to 35 Night Heron.

We loved our two week stay at Night Heron 35. The place was very clean and everything worked as it should. There are two screened porches and we loved spending time out there. It has a separate laundry room, and the washer/dryer worked well. The kitchen is well equipped, but storage is limited, so you have to be a little creative about where to put things. The furniture and the bedding are very comfortable. The second shower is a little small but it is adequate for a quick shower. The Night Heron community is a great place to stay, beach access path 46 is right across the road from the Night Heron entrance, so it only takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the beach. We really liked that Night Heron is so close to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, we spent a good bit of time exploring the Forest Preserve. Night Heron also has easy access to the bike paths in Sea Pines; you can ride out of Night Heron and right onto the bike paths. About the only thing we were not wild about, is that on the other side of the woods behind Night Heron is an elementary school and on weekdays when the kids are out playing, they can be pretty loud at times. We will most definitely stay here again in the future.

We loved the location. So close to things to do, but private too!

Great location. Very short walk to beach, bike trail nearby which makes all of Sea Pines a short bike ride.

We loved the 2 screened porches, the cleanliness of the property, the comfortable furniture, the decorating, the generous supplies for kitchen and bathrooms and the location of the home.

The house suites us well. The floors could have been cleaner and the patios were not clean.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Katherine. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and apologize if the cleanliness of the home left much to be desired. We will follow-up with our housekeeping team to see that future cleans are completed to our standards, and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Comfortable and well appointed vacation home that is a quick bike ride or short walk to beautiful Sea Pines beaches. Can’t go wrong with this rental.

We had a great week at this rental. We have stayed in many in Night Heron over the years and were happy to find one available last minute. Only a few recommendations - there were wasp nests all around the outside wood paneling of the screen porches and they should probably get treated and removed. Obviously there is a screen there with a few holes but my kids (1 & 3) kept trying to touch them through the screen. There were also several hornets all over the front deck so again, just a treatment would resolve that. The only other issue was the TV service (Sprectrum) wasn’t working. We didn’t bother calling to have it fixed because the boys rarely watch tv but it would be something worth fixing. Overall though, a very wonderful and relaxing week! King bed was incredibly comfortable and loved the privacy of both screen porches!
Manager response:
We apologize for the pests. The home is treated once a month, and we would have been happy to re-treat the home had we been notified of the need. We hope to see you again!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at 35 Night Heron the week of June 15-22. The check in process was easy and the home was clean when we arrived. It is a bright yellow inside and all of the furnishings were very comfortable. The amenities in the kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The home location is close to the pool and a short walk or bike ride to the beach. I was able to clean each day with the broom and vacuum and leave with clean clothes using the washer and dryer. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a unique experience? It was a house with lots of personality. We loved the screened in porch to watch the herons and little alligator. Great time was had by all.

The place was spotless clean, perfect size, convenient to restaurants, close to the beach, quiet and private! Loved It!!

The large living space had a lovely feel (even better than the photo). It was a bit smaller than I had pictured, but was plenty roomy enough for us: many porches, comfortable beds, well equipped, private and close enough to a beautiful beach.

We love Night Heron and we loved this property. Very clean and well-stocked. Nice kitchen, plenty of space despite many of these units being pretty cramped. Things you can't tell from the pictures: 1) there are actually two screened porches. My husband was able to do some work from one while we ate breakfast on the other, so that worked out well. 2) The laundry room is great -- a room, not a closet, so there was space to pile up our dirty things, hang clothes to dry etc. 3) The furniture is comfortable and the bedding is nice. 4) The second bath is a little small but adequate for kids (and men :)) . The ONLY thing I wish it had was an enclosed outdoor shower. There's an outdoor shower, but it's open so you can only rinse off not take a complete shower. Highly recommend this home. About Night Heron: I can't understand why Night Heron isn't more popular. it's the perfect location. Walk/bike ride to the beach, ride to Coligny, the beach club, the nature perserve, Lawton Stables. We also ride to South Beach AND HarbourTown from Night Heron, though it's a longer ride. Additionally, we like that they are free-standing units so it's quiet and private without the cost of traditional single-family HHI homes. One day, we will own in Night Heron.
