Cozy South Fork Cabin w/Kitchen, Shared Grill, and Free WiFi - Dogs Welcome!

Spend your vacation days exploring the great outdoors in this beautiful corner of Southwest Colorado! From skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking and river rafting in the summer, this two-bedroom vacation rental offers easy access to all manner of outdoor activities - not to mention plenty of modern comforts and conveniences!

This vacation rental is located in the heart of South Fork, just south of the Rio Grande. Wolf Creek Ski Area is less than 20 miles south, and there are dozens of places to hike, mountain bike, and ride horses in the surrounding mountain terrain.

The interior of this vacation rental is reminiscent of a classic log cabin, with rustic accents that echo the natural landscape. The compact yet well-appointed kitchen features all of the standard appliances, including an electric range, a full-size fridge, a microwave, and a coffeemaker, so you'll have everything you need to put together a homestyle meal, a quick snack, or anything in between. After a long day enjoying the great outdoors, use the free WiFi to share pictures and updates with friends back home. With two bedrooms and one full bathroom, this vacation rental can comfortably accommodate up to six guests. The family dog is also welcome to join you here for an additional nightly fee.

Find your new favorite getaway. Book this South Fork lodge cabin now! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

Parking Notes: Please park to the left of the door and don't block the main drive. There is additional parking around the area (between Lodge buildings 1-5 and the stone line near the gazebo with the hot tub, in front of the shop, alongside the office, along the backside of Elk Cabin toward the dumpster, behind the shed north of Moose Lodge, and east of Fox Cabin). There’s also a large, vacant restaurant parking lot; use it only south of the office and Lodge buildings 1-5.

WINTER HAZARDS: Snow and ice can accumulate throughout the property. Along the north side of Lodge buildings 1-5 is one of these areas. Ice and snow build up all winter long until late March or early April. The roofs of the Lodge buildings are metal; snow and ice tend to give way in large sheets all at once, so please be aware of the edge of the roof and where your vehicle is parked.

Very nice comfy bed! Hot tub wasn't filled with water..a drag after skiing.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Felicia. The hot tub is not part of the advertised amenities for this home. Regrettably, some of the HOA amenities have been unavailable due to the current health pandemic, we truly apologize for the disappointment this posed. We are glad you enjoyed your stay!

Have stayed here at least half a dozen times. It’s usually the best deal in town. Very nice big rooms with new super comfortable beds. Everything is there to prepare meals and always very clean.

This Unit was just right for three buddies who spent most of their stay outdoors fishing and hiking. However, it is not a house nor a cabin. It is a semi-renovated 1960s motor lodge kitchenette suite. It is conveniently located near grocery, gas, liquor, restaurants and fly shop. Numerous fishing streams and lakes are only 10 - 30 minutes away. However, a bunch of little out-issues and out-dated items kept me from giving this Unit a 5-star rating.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Gary. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We would have been happy to assist with any questions or concerns if we had been notified during your time with us. Our local team strives to provide every one of our guests with the best vacation possible. We look forward to hosting you again soon!

We stayed here for 5 days with our family of 5. There was plenty of room for us all. The beds are comfortable and the water pressure is great! Both things that are very important to us! It’s the perfect place to stay if you will be out adventuring everyday like we were.
Carmen B. Jun 2021
Dated but well stocked and clean. Perfect for what we needed.
KARIN T. Mar 2021
Great location right in the middle of town. Everything was clean and fresh. Bedding was comfortable, more than enough towels. Fridge was spotless inside. Perfect place on a budget for two.
John K. Feb 2021
This was a great cabin and customer service was very responsive.
Sherri G. Dec 2020
Nice to have enough space for parents and 2 kids. Very responsive hosts.
Charles R. Nov 2020
Three of us rented Cabin #6 in Southfork for 10 days, Nov 4th thru Nov 13th. It has 2 bedrooms with 3 full size beds, tv, all appliances, etc. it was very clean, all appliances worked, and was very comfortable. Everything exceeded expectations. The price was very affordable. Highly recommend this unit.

the water pressure was great but the shower head you had to run around to get wet other than that the cabin was great
Brad W. Sep 2020
We used this as a base camp for a guys trip and it was great.
Greg W. Aug 2020
Great cabin in South Fork. Centrally located and quiet at the same time. We’ll definitely stay there again.
Adam A. Jul 2020

Jennifer A. Jul 2020
This was the perfect getaway for my family! We fell in love with the town and with the lodge! We will be returning!
Stefanie R. Jun 2020
This was our first time to South Fork and will be coming back. This lodge room was just right for us. We were close to fishing, shopping and sight seeing areas. I just wish the hot tub and spa pool had been open or we had been informed they weren’t.
Nicole A. Jun 2020
Room was clean and comfortable.
Basic and good location .

Shower plumbing needs to be replaced.
The hot tub and swim spa aren’t operating. Not solely because of COVID, we stayed at this property 2 years ago and they weren’t working. They should be removed from the listing.
We had no problem 2 years ago, this time there was NO COMMUNICATION with the property management! Vascasa never sent the key box code and they never replied to VRBO or our messages. Thankfully other guests helped us figure out the code.

We got an incredible rate of $52.50. We got what we paid for.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Nicole! We are glad you enjoyed the home and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry for any communication deficiencies you endured and we confirm we have added more team members to better help our guests. Regrettably, some of the HOA amenities have been unavailable due to the current health pandemic, we truly apologize for the disappointment this posed. Our local manager confirms that the plumbing on the shower will be checked by our maintenance technicians to make sure it is working properly. We look forward to hosting you again!

I like the simplicity of this place. No hassles, everything you need for cooking your own meals, beds are good and room was clean. It’s my go to for the South Fork area.
Cheryl B. Dec 2019
Needed a place for four boys to stay for a good price! Exceeded my expectations.
Ben T. Sep 2019
This cabin was great for four guys. Just what we needed for a hunting base camp in South Fork. Plenty of room, good parking, and convenient. Linen/Towel service replaced items as we needed them. Kitchen was adequately stocked.
Lory E. Sep 2019
We enjoyed the location and laid back atmosphere. There was an issue with having the wrong key code at the start, but it all worked out.
Beth H. Feb 2019
Small cabin but good price and all we needed. The kitchen was lacking in utensils (no can opener, wine opener or cutting board). Only 2 coffee mugs. Just bring those things and you’ll be good to go skiing at Wolf Creek! The best!
Kelly B. Oct 2018
Affordable and Clean.
Dennis H. Sep 2018
Hospitable, quiet, hardly knew place was almost full.
David M. Aug 2018
Very clean, great beds, ours was Denver mattresses and large room. It has what we needed for our 3 nights.
Gloria H. Aug 2018
We spent only 2 nights but all was as advertised. The place was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of linens, pillows and blankets, and plenty of dishware & utensils for the two of us.
Ed B. Aug 2018
This is a rustic but very comfortable place with a covered porch and chairs, separate bedrooms, a kitchen, and a good coffeemaker and good coffee! Surroundings are beautiful, in a forested canyon. Great Mexican restaurant just down the road. It's all good!

Matt W. Aug 2018
Enjoyed our stay, beds are comfortable and it was quite. The tub was still dirty from the previous person and had a little gas smell when entering but overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back.
Manager response:
We are sorry to read about the housekeeping oversight and have followed-up with our housekeeper. The heater, water heater, and stove all run on gas, and with the windy canyon, it's normal for the pilot lights to be regularly blown out. A little gas smell now and again is completely normal. Thank you!
Thomas N. Jul 2018
