The view and beach were perfect.Path to the beach was easy. But there was nowhere to put your clothes.Just add a few dressers and closet to hang coats and jackets..
We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us. We passed your comments along to our local manager to review and we appreciate guest’s preferences as a means to continually improve. We look forward to hosting your next stay!
The view from the deck and living room, the remodeled, updated interior spaces are lovely and comfortable. There are stairs on the path to the beach, great for the 8 and 10 year olds, a nice work out for the adults.
Upgrades are beautiful and the view from the deck is even better. Comfortable beds in each room. Loved the heated floors in both bathrooms and the upstairs soaking tub is just lovely. Nice, well maintained stairway makes for a short walk to the beach.
This was such a treat for us! A beautifully appointed, very comfortable house in a stunning setting. We treasured our time here and hope to return one day!
The home was beautiful. We absolutely loved the balcony. We went in June and was very windy. I really wanted a fire by the beach, but there was no possibly way. We could hear the family with kids next to us running up and down the stairs which was not as relaxing as I had hoped. All other amenities with the home were absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend if you're okay with hearing your neighbors and can deal with wind!
This would be a great place for a small family to vacation to. The master bedroom upstairs has its own bathroom, and the downstairs bedroom has two beds, plus it’s own bathroom. The kitchen is spacious with good counter space and a large dining table. The wifi and technology aspect is lacking, but the living space would make for a great area to play card or board games at night. The one improvement that could be made is the windows in the master bedroom. They are a bit small and high, so you are unable to see the water from the bed. The downstairs bedroom is the view to claim, the upstairs bathroom is the bathroom to claim. Right between Waldport and Yachts, there are dozens of great places to see and visit within a short drive in either direction.
separation of bedrooms
We originally stayed at Cape Cod Cottages over 25 years ago and it was wonderful to be back. We enjoyed the newly remodeled & spacious unit, the private balcony, the beds were very comfortable and the unit was clean. We LOVE your cottages and will be back again!!
This home has an amazing view and the beds are super comfortable. We loved it here!
The balcony was amazing. Two plastic patio chairs were provided, which were nice, though a bit flimsy and showing signs of cracking. We brought our own chairs, though.
The dining table is fairly large with enough dining seating for six. It's a bit tight getting around it to the sink or the cupboards under the staircase when people are using it, but it's doable.
The downstairs has two queen beds and its own attached full bathroom. I thought it was a bit odd that the bathroom was attached to the bedroom and not accessible from the living room, but it worked out.
Both the downstairs bedroom and living room have access to the patio out back, which was amazing. It looks straight out over the ocean with the dog area directly below.
The TV was decent and newish. I was able to screen share from my phone to watch a movie. The last person who stayed there left their Netflix logged in, so that was one less thing to remember to do when we left. On that note, if you log in on any of your streaming services, remember to log out of them before you leave. Thanks to Julie and Herbie. ;)
The master bedroom upstairs had a king bed with a small window looking out to the ocean. It has a master bath with a walk-in shower immediately next to a large bathtub. We didn't get a chance to check out the bathtub. Sadness. It looked inviting, though.
The staircase up to the master bed was pretty steep (for me, at least), but after going up and down a few times it wasn't too bad, especially compared to the staircase down to the beach.
There a couple of paths down the beach which are rock/shale covered and fairly steep. My feet slipped to the front of my sandals. At the bottom of the path, the doggy area is to the right and straight ahead is the staircase down to the beach.
The doggy area is moderately-tended lawn and surrounded by high bushes. The top of the stair down the beach has a little resting area which is marred by all the cigarette butts on the ground and the bushes that obscure the view of the ocean and make an otherwise nice little sitting spot into kind of a dump reminiscent of the little hidey holes the teens would trash outside the school and litter with beer cans and butts and garbage.
The staircase down to the beach is narrow and steep and the handrails aren't really usable as handrails and seem to function as meeting the minimum requirement for having something that can be called a handrail. They're just long boards too wide to grip effectively and use as aids in climbing down or up. There was a broken step near the bottom which was concerning.
Once on the beach, the first few feet of beach is dry sand and the then it's all damp and wet and surf and you're on the beach. But you're on the beach in Waldport, Oregon, not LA, SLO, or San Diego, and it was April when we went, so it was chilly and always windy.
We didn't get neighbors until the third day, which was nice. Quiet time is from 9PM-8AM, but we didn't have issues with our neighbors and they didn't have issues with us, which was a bonus as well.
There are a few restaurants in Waldport, but we only got food from the Chinese restaurant there. They give you a lot of food. We nibbled at it over the entire weekend and hadn't finished it all by the time we left, but we were out and about the other days.
There's a little grocery store in town, as well (head in to town and take a right at the light). We got some paper plates and some snacks there. The cottage has plates and bowls (only three forks, though; we swung by the Walmart in Newport and plussed up their utensils with some more forks and spoons. You're welcome) and some cookware, but we never got around to cooking anything. No dishwasher, but there is a drying rack and some rags under the sink. The fridge was a little smaller, but larger than a dorm fridge.
And that's about it. There was laundry facilities advertised on the website when I reserved it, but we couldn't figure out how to get into them (we thought it meant a washer and dryer in the cottage itself, but it turns out laundry services are in another building in the cottage complex). I called Vacasa, and they gave me a code for the laundry room (digital lock on the door), but it didn't work. After hunting around on the website for a bit I saw that the laundry facility was closed due to COVID. Sigh. Oh well.
There's a coin-op laundry in Waldport a little ways after you drive back in to town. Don't use the washers on the wall to the right. They charge $5, but the ones in the middle of the building only charge $2.75. There wasn't any soap vending. I suggest you bring a Tide pod or two and a couple of dryer sheets in case you want to do laundry. We ran a load just to get rid of all the sand.
Most of the things to do are up in Newport, so we went there a couple of times. If you have a kid who needs a small hoodie 'cause she was stupid and didn't bring a light jacket, none of the stores (including Walmart) have any jackets or hoodies in kids' sizes. Head to the History Bayfront in Newport and towards the east end of that tourist trap there are some shops with kids' clothing. They know how to stock up on warm kids' clothes 'cause the kids who go through there are also stupid and didn't bring jackets, and then they go out on boats and look for whales or something.
It was overall a pretty nice experience, especially after the dumpsters got emptied, which were overflowing when we showed up on Friday and didn't get emptied until Sunday evening.
There were two key lockboxes on the outside. The code you get goes to the top box and after you punch in the code, you push down on the top button (not forward) and the whole front of it gets pulled towards you. That's not explained in the e-mail, so I was mucking around trying to figure that out for longer than I would've liked. The code doesn't work on the bottom box. I guess that's for the management or housekeeping or something.
The stupid little clip on the key was mostly bent, so I just threaded it on to my car keychain while we were staying there.
The road outside is 55MPH and idiots like to park on the side of the road next to the bushes so they block the view of oncoming traffic when you're trying to pull out. That was annoying. Maybe Vacasa can put a a NO PARKING sign there to help mitigate fatalities. But I think someone has to actually die from a collision before anyone thinks about doing anything constructive, like the whole texting while driving thing. It took like fifty kids dying in car accidents before someone was like, hmm, maybe we should do something. Yeah, I get it, I'm pretty lazy, too.
Anyway, not a horrible place. I'm pretty most of the people staying there are white, but it still wouldn't kill management to put some chopsticks on the utensils drawer. If you want chopsticks, I carved out a pair and left them in the drawer. They might've gotten thrown away. Bring your own chopsticks if you want chopsticks. The Chinese restaurant didn't give us chopsticks. Stingy fucks.
Ok, I'm done. Enjoy.
Was a joy to stay staff was great. Guest were a bit roudy. They where so great with our service dogs, had dog special treat bags was so surprising! The kids had a great time and enjoyed the pool! Thank you for the terrific breakfast as well!
great quiet spot with a beautiful beach front view. Amenities were clean and spacious. Perfect place to unplug and relax- but don't come here expecting to work away from home w/ limited cell service and unreliable wi-fi.
Stayed here for a week and it was just lovely.
They allow for dogs, the walk to the beach takes about 1 minute and you can walk for miles, there is little to no road noise, the kitchen is well appointed with what you need to cook a simple or even complex meal, and the sunsets from the deck were magical.
The space itself seems newly renovated and lacks some basic things (like dressers and closet space/hangers), the internet is spotty, and depending on your cell phone carrier, that can be spotty as well and the fireplace was not functioning.
The pluses absolutely outweigh the little things (I listed them more for someone to be prepared than to say don't stay here) and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The place was extremely cozy and clean. The view and access to the beach is outstanding. If you are someone who has to do work or homework online this is not the place for you. The internet would drop and I had to hot spot to get my work done. The TV had trouble connecting as well. I of course enjoyed the view instead but wanted to let people know ahead of time. If you plan on cooking make sure to bring spices and oils. I would stay here again because it was so relaxing.
The cottage was super clean. It was quiet and relaxing! Looking forward to future trips here!
Outstanding view, nice remodel, and great kitchen.
But signicant flaws: No place to put clothes away, no rod/hangers in closet. Clothes had to be left in suitcases or on floor.
Web said cable TV, DVD, and fireplace. TV was streaming so no Seahawks game and with constant signal interruptions in reality had no.TV, no DVD so movies brought useless, and fireplace not working.
Internet marginal at best.
Called first day and reported TV problems but no fix or return call.
Area and location great with good hikes in both woods and beach. Even got in round of golf. But, will not return as too many deficiencies for the price
Hi, Ron! Thank you for letting us know about your stay. We are disappointed to read you do not plan to return and hope we can change your mind. The home has just been remodeled; we will be sure to update the listing to reflect this. The fireplace has been removed from the amenities as it is not currently working, and we will get hangers in the home. We hope to see you again!
This place is perfect! The view is awesome, the cottage is restful and serene, the beds are comfortable, there was plenty of parking, and we can't wait to stay again!
We were practically on the beach, well stocked kitchen, great view and quiet, and our dog was happy. Wonderful stay.
Perfect location. Right on the beach, amazing views and sunsets. Centrally located for all our travels up and down the Oregon Coast. Nicely remodeled unit. Easy access. All we could ask for. Thanks for a great getaway!
Loved the home with a beautiful view of the ocean
Clean, modern, comfortable cottage with views that can't be beat. The nearby town doesn't have much to it, but it's a perfect retreat for relaxation and escaping the crowds.
Beautiful place! Needs a dresser or somewhere to put clothes. Maybe a rod to hang clothes in the closet. Great fireplace but it needs to work to enjoy it. Really loved everything else!
Good times , I tell you White I’ve been up and down the coast staying at many hotels and cabins this definitely was the best vacation house/condo that I’ve ever stayed in nobody bug me the beach was only 20 yards away the beach was clean And the room was clean I love the fact that we had cable TV stove microwave and all the amenities that we needed plus I hadn’t washed my clothes in a day so it was really nice to have a laundry room so that I could take care of my soiled clothes all I will definitely be making another vacation reservation at this destination PS my dog actually had the best time in his life to so definitely if you’re Looking for a quiet secluded and reasonably priced condo right on the beach then give them a call thanks Jeramie Himrod Washington state
Beautiful location with amazing view and beach access. Only bad part was the fireplace didn't work.
Hi Anna, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are working on repairing the fireplace. We hope to host you again soon!
The view but vacasa has nothing to do with that !!
We are happy that you enjoyed the view in the room! Cape Cod Cottages are undergoing a full remodel to the rooms. Thank you for your feedback!
Older buildings but very quaint and comfortable. Beautiful view of the ocean. Only downfall was that the gas fireplace would not work. Would have been great to have had it on the cool mornings!
Peace and quiet
The view is to die for! Got sick and spent most of my time there on the couch, from which I could still see the beach/ocean!
The place is vintage, with old and out dated furniture and decor, but quaint and cute at the same time. It does have a nice view of the Pacific Ocean with a sandy beach right off the balcony, which is exactly what we were looking for. It was the perfect price. I would definitely stay here again.
These are not standalone cottages, but some attached condos built in the fifties. Units 4 and 7 have upstairs units, and the stomping and noise was irritating. The knotty pine interiors were cool, the kitchen just fine, but the furniture was thrift shop quality, the gas fireplace had issues, and the unit was drafty because there is no weatherstripping under the doors. Chairs were lumpy and uncomfortable. Back deck was slippery as heck, maybe a little 30 second outdoor cleaner? Right side deck windscreen was missing which made the deck uncomfortable and cold. There were two key lockboxes in the tiny carport (BTW, it's too small unless you have a smart car) which was very confusing. Parking lot had no exterior lighting, and was spooky at night. BEWARE: If you have any problems at all and have to call Vacasa or whoever, there is no cell phone service, and the internet is very very slow DSL, and if the units are full good luck getting a connection. You will be on your own unless you drive north to Waldport to get a cell phone connection. (The locals told me to buy a twenty dollar trac-phone at BiMart next time, because they hit all the towers no matter who the carrier is.)
Cable was a problem until I figured out that of the three controls provided, only two were applicable, and there is no cable guide, and you have to enter each channel number seperately. If the internet works, you might have a chance of downloading a channel guide.
The good: Excellent views and a beautiful nice quiet private beach. Halfway between Yachats and Waldport, and the Sea Lion Caves aren't that far away. The bed was comfy, the kitchen clean and well stocked with everything you need, and there were more than plenty of nice clean soft big fluffy towels in the bathroom.
To be honest, the initial price is enticing, but after all the fees taxes and add-ons, you would be better off just renting a nice hotel room in town.
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are sorry that the property did not live up to your standards. We have shared your feedback with the manager to consider with the owner. We hope to host you again in the future.
The view from every unit at the Cape Cod Cottages is spectacular. I stayed in multiple units and can say that the view is phenomenal. The bedroom in unit 7 is a little loud until traffic on the highway dies down and a little bit bright from the light out front. I moved to the comfy couch and slept out there with just the sound of the ocean to put me to sleep:) the location to the beach and the view will keep me coming back to the cape cod cottages. The local contact person-Tommy (?) was super helpful and a delight to work with as well.
We loved the place; the area, the beach access, and the building itself.
Amazing views and comfortable cabin. I feel that we should have been informed when we booked that the fire place was not working.
We are glad to hear this guest enjoyed their stay. This unit is not advertised as have a fireplace as an amenity. We do recommend guests search out homes with amenities that are vital to their comfort during their stay. We are working on getting it up and running for future guests. We hope to host this guest again soon!
The view and proximity to the beach and ocean were unmatched. We were looking forward to just sitting and listening to the waves for a week.
However, there were a few things that made the stay disappointing. The fireplace was “out of order”, the furniture and carpeting were very dated, warn, and/or broken. The entire apartment had an unpleasant odor. We left a candle for the next occupants. We would recommend the Cottages to others with the previous considerations. Hopefully some repair and updates are forthcoming.
Lots of sand on sheets. Evident the sheets had not been changed from previous guests. No linens for pull out couch in living room. The rest of the unit was filthy and outdated. Would not recommend Cape Cod Cottages to anyone! Trying to get refund, but have not heard from management yet.
We are so sorry that the cleanliness was not up to standard before the guest's arrival. We've followed up with our housekeeping team, and they will pay closer attention to these details moving forward.
Private access to beach. Great view from balcony.
Room was great! Gorgeous beach and great accessability!
This humble cottage was beautifully rustic and only steps to the beach. There were a few things broken with it but someone came by within a few hours to take care of any immediate concerns. It was a wonderful place to stay and will definitely come back! Loved our time there.
With a pet friendly room right on the beach for our dog Marley and a charger for our Chevy Bolt we couldn't ask for more.
It was clean , a good bed . good linen , everything we needed. There was a great view of the ocean . and large beach at easy access. We would stay again
I was extremely disappointed that I paid for what I thought was a hot tub property. Wasn't.
We are sorry to see this guest was disappointed and advise all our guests to carefully read through the provided amenities before booking. Thank you!
The beach, the surf, the scenery---most everything except the house
The unit is small and dated, but cozy and clean. It was the perfect location for a quiet weekend away.
This is a wonderful place to get away to. As soon as we walked in it felt like home. It's small, but was just what we were looking for. The town is nice too. In a 2 block radius we found a used book store, a fabric shop, thrift shops, clothing consignment shops, and a metaphysical supply store. Was fun to see then all!
We would stay here again. :)
Will come again, and again.
Right on the beach, has a garage and private. This is a really nice little place!
qUAINT, NEAT AND CLEAN AND HAS EXCELLENT BEACH ACCESS AND VIEW HAVE STAYED HERE MANY TIMES IN THE PAST AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.
Perfect location for us close to hiking areas of Cape Perpetua and touristy spots of Newport. We enjoyed the gorgeous views of the beach and easy access. The home was safe and comfortable for our infant and toddler grandbabies as well. We will be back!
I was very pleased with the condition and cleanliness of the home. The appliances were all in tip-top shape as well! Cell service is virtually non-existent at this location (and throughout most of the nearby area as wel), but the wi-fi worked flawlessly. I think I could have spent most of every day lounging on the private deck absorbing the spectacular view!
The only thing we didn't like was leaving!
This cottage is well organized and has everything you need to enjoy a quiet beach vacation: great location on a nice beach, logs for the fireplace, efficient kitchen, nice deck. There's a friendly grocery store in Waldport to stock up on all your essentials, and plenty of places to go out if you prefer not to cook.
Just stayed here one night on an Oregon coast road trip vacation, but it was our favorite place on the trip. Watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean was beautiful, and enjoyed from the privacy and comfort of our own deck. Cute, homey room with the perfect cottage feel.
Incredible, unforgettable stay in a lovely cottage.
I was looking for a quiet weekend getaway after a weekend in Lincoln City in March was less than relaxing. Cape Cod Cottages were perfect! The view is spectacular! There was very little noise from surrounding guests. The room was very clean. It was comfortable and rustic. The linens still smelled of fabric softener so I knew they'd actually been washed. Beach access is a short easy walk, maybe a little moderate on the way back up as it is uphill. It is close enough to town to browse the shops or pick up groceries. I was very impressed overall and will definitely be making this my go-to reservation when I'm at the beach!!!
We have stayed at Cap Cod Cottages twice now and love it. We are beach lovers and although in the past we have enjoyed the excitement of beaches in Hawaii, Cancun, Cabo, and the Caribbean we have come to appreciate the quiet and laid back beauty that is offered here. If you are looking for night life and culinary delights you will probably be disappointed, but if you want to just relax and enjoy nature this is probably where you need to be!
We enjoy our stay, steps down to the beach, beautiful views from the Picture windows. So much Wildlife, from Rabbit's ,deer to whale watching and seals.
When we come to visit my sister in Waldport again, we will book again at this location.
We came for our honeymoon and everything was perfect! 10 out of 10!
Room is a little dated but clean and everything works. The view is great.
We are family of 5 and had a great stay in this home. Overall it was pretty clean and had all the supplies we needed. Every night we had a fire in the fireplace and watched the waves crash. Very friendly service and close to all the activities in Newport, Waldport, Sea Lion caves, etc.
You couldn't ask to be closer to the beach unless you were sleeping on the sand. The view was fantastic. We stayed for 3 days and nights and I know we will be back!!
We really enjoyed our time here. The location is great. It is above the beach and just a short walk down to the shore. The bed, pillows and linens were very comfortable. Being just off busy 101 the road traffic can be noticeable when trying to fall asleep, but once asleep we were fine. The bathroom is small but very functional and the towels are thick and soft. The living room is roomy and has a pull out couch bed which we didn't need. The kitchen has basic amenities which were great. We saved money by being able to buy some groceries and have a fridge, microwave, stove and coffee maker (which was awful and ended up using another we bought). This is a great location as we went up and down the coast to visit Yachats, Depoe Bay, Newport and other spots. We would come back in the future and recommend this to others.
Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The cottages are well maintained and clean. A lovely step back in time.
This was our first visit here. It was so lovely and our visit was so nice that we decided to make it a tradition and make this particular place our spot for next year. The only difference is that next year we will rent it for three nights instead of two!
Overall, was well worth our 12 hour drive to get there. The property itself was just big enough and had all the necessities to make the stay comfortable. The view of the beach especially at sunset was unparalleled. Easy access to beach, just s short drive to many hiking trails, places of interest, and great little restaurants. Would definitely highly recommend this home away from home. I am already planning my return trip for next year!
This is a lovely place to experience the old Oregon coast cabin charm. A great place to relax with nothing to do but nothing to do.
Great location and highly recommend if you need a place that accepts pets!
This property is centrally located to the Central Coast. Unlike the northern coast filled with shopping and tourist the central coast is filled with natural areas alive with whales, birds, and great areas for kayaking and hiking. Go north to visit Newport and Yaquina Head and go south to visit the sea lion caves and the Oregon Dunes. Great kayaking on small riviers, inland lakes and bays. Don't miss Cape Perpetua, a gem on the coast.
having no one on property diff. but over all it was good
Over all my friend and I enjoyed our 2 night stay here! The coast views are unbeatable! It is well furnished and cozy with its rustic decor and fireplace (with even 2 presto logs provided-but no matches! ). The bed was very comfortable, as well as the couch.
The place could use some simple updates to make it look fresher, cleaner, and well kept. Revarnish doors, upgrade counters, and shower stall, for example. However, the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water!
This place is easy to find and has ample parking.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Unit 7 was fine to stay at, it had an amazing view and it was close to both Waldport and Yachats. The decor is very dated and the seating in the living room is mediocre, however the bed was super comfortable so that was nice. It was great being able to have our dog with us and so we would definitely stay here again.
We had the best weather while staying in the cottage. Going down to the beach was the highlight of our stay!
We loved the old cottage and the proximity to the beach. Lovely!
We have stayed in the Waldport area before but this is our first time at Cape Cod Cottages. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who doesn't want to camp at one of the campgrounds. It is right on the beach, beautiful sunsets and we even spotted some whales from our deck. It isn't fancy but clean and very comfortable. Pets are welcome and our dog had a wonderful time on the beach. We will be back.
View was amazing, location was fantastic, but the room with the mold was NOT a healthy issue for me.
We are sorry to see that there was mold in this home and will be sure to get it cleaned out right away so this cottage can be perfectly enjoyable.
Charming, cozy cabin. Dated but clean. Great view and access to beach. Only one usable chair on the deck though as the other was old and busted. No bbq grill. Overall an okay experience.
We apologize that one of the deck chairs was broken and will look into replacing it right away.
My kids wanted to be walking distance from the ocean. This property had the beach in the back yard! Great location. Downside was the fees tripled the price of the rental.
The cabins themselves are rustic and a bit run down (although it appears that they may be doing some updating before the peak season starts) but the view is flat out AMAZING and it is right on the beach with access right from the cottages. The beach was all but empty all weekend, and our dog had an excellent time running the beach. Quiet and relaxing. We will stay here again.
We will try out #11 next time.
Overall, we love the coastal area, and were very pleased by the unit's location overlooking the beach and ocean. We enjoyed the views and moved some furniture for our overnight to take advantage of the picture windows and porch terrace (which we moved back in the morning when cleaning before departure.
This seemed from the website to be one of the nicer units, larger, and better equipped; however, it was disappointing that it was 'run down' and needed some obvious maintenance and upgrade. That would have made the price even more reasonable.
I love Cape Cod Cottages. I stayed with you in May, and returned in June for another trip. The location is fantastic, the beach is beautiful, and I love the vintage cottages. I hope that they will retain their charm with future updating. I'll be back!
Older, but clean and comfortable property. Always appreciate a place that lets me bring my dogs and is clean. Unit feels very private. Great view and beach access. Never was able to pick up wifi. Highway noise bothered me a bit inside the unit, but so did my husband's snoring. Loved sitting on the deck and seeing 5 whales!
I selfishly hate to write this because I always want the Cape Cod Cottages here for myself. The moment we walked through the door of our cottage I could feel myself relax. The old Oregon Coast charm that I remember from my childhood flooded over me. We loved it so much we were able to book two additional days and forgot the rest of a journey up the coast. The crackling fire while looking over the calming Pacific was just what we both needed. No pressure. The best I've felt in years.
Loved your place so much! It was the perfect getaway for me, and my dog. The view is mesmerizing, and the cottage is so cozy! I'll be back for sure!
Thanks for sending us your review! We are so pleased to see that you enjoyed your time at Cape Cod. It has the perfect stretch of beach for walking and letting the dogs run. Plus the Big Stump is a great landmark with a wonderful story behind it. Thanks again for your kind words and we look forward to having you as a guest again!
Great access to the beach, wonderful expansive view, all the amenities you need. Loved the keyless entry. The ability to come and go and be autonomous is priceless.
This was our 1st visit to Waldport and we loved it!!! The cottage was perfect! We especially loved the view from our balcony overlooking the beach & stunning sunset! We will definitely be back!
Thank you for sharing your review with us. We are so pleased to hear that your first visit to Waldport was such a success and this cottage was a perfect fit. The views and surroundings are simply gorgeous! We look forward to seeing you at the Cape Cod Cottages again!
I really wanted to give you all negative comments just so no one else finds out about this little gem, but I wont do that lol. Loved the location as well as the room. Great prices too. We will for sure be back.
Thank you for this great review! We have a lot of regulars that visit us every year for the past 15 years. Hopefully you will become one of them.
Right off hwy 101, easy to find the cottage, great living size for 2 or 4 people. Beautiful view from the deck, beach access was easy to find and go to. Quite and pleasant. Not far to go out and explore to other beach spots or to the stores if your trying to grab some groceries. I'd come back with a heartbeat if I had to stay in waldport again.
I was very happy with the cottage, location and access to the beach. Will definitely stay there again.
This was our second visit to the Cape Cod Cottages. The first was years ago and the beautiful rustic cabins, spectacular ocean views, comfortable furnishings (yes, even the beds were great for a nine day stay), excellent on-site service, fully equipped kitchens and real fireplaces were as good as we remembered. The new flat-screen t.v.'s and wide satellite channel selection was a pleasant surprise, allowing us to watch the baseball playoffs without going out to the local pub. Waldport itself had everything we needed from a great grocery store (with good prices!) to many fun shops, restaurants and local events. It had easy proximity to dozens of beautiful coastal spots from Newport to Yahats. It has been purchased by new owners since we last visited but the only glitch was having to go outside and stand in front of the office to receive our wifi. I'm sure we'll manage at least one more visit at some time in the future. FWIW, cottage #7 was killer perfect for us, although we enjoyed our previous unit as well.
I stayed in unit 7 at Cape Cod (a 1 bedroom with a sofa bed). It is an older property that has generally been well-cared for. The view of the ocean is great and access to the beach is easy. It had everything I needed: a kitchen (with plates and utensils), a tv with dvd player, and a quiet and uninterrupted view of the ocean. And this is a pet-friendly property. I will stay here again.
