It was perfect for my wife and I and our dog, Rocky. The cabin was very comfortable and it was a relaxing weekend. The nearby market had everything I needed to cook a nice dinner Friday night. The cabin was very private and quiet. When I took Rocky for a walk on Saturday, one of the locals pulled up next to us and asked if he could give Rocky a dog biscuit. True Vermont hospitality! Would definitely come back.

Perfect getaway place for my husband and I. Warm and cozy interior. If you have dogs, bring them here! There is everything you need in a rental. Just bring a hair dryer. Mt. Snow is 20 minutes away and accessible to shops, eating establishments, etc. We already booked this cottage again for next June.

I loved the simplicity and the location especially loved the fenced in dog area
Great cozy and decorated perfectly
Only wished more throw blankets to add to the coziness and better bed only drawback
The other furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked if you were to cook.

We got to know the area really well. Had a wonderful stay only wished it hadn’t rain so much so we could enjoy the fire pit more.

House was clean, kitchen well equiped. We happened to be there during a hot week so it was warm (you can't control the weather) Only negative is not all windows had screens, so we couldn't open them. They worked but we didn't want any visitors.

The cabin was nice and clean, save for a few bugs and spiders but that's to be expected for a cabin in a rural area. Make sure to get most of your grocery shopping for your stay in one go. The nearest store is about 30 minutes drive.
Very close to great outdoor activities.

If you know the Swedish term Hygge, then you know that this cabin is what it is! I love the rustic but modern vibe. It’s aesthetic is definitely our taste! It’s also like a hotel because they provided us with clean towels and toiletries. It’s spacious and beautiful that each spot of the house you can basically relax in. Definitely going back to Vermont for this cabin alone!

I searched far and wide for a cabin that was perfect to take my boyfriend and the dogs. It was quiet, it was beautiful, and the dogs LOVED it. It was refreshing coming from a busier town to something quiet where we could let the dogs outside to be free.. We also climbed one of the green mountains which was only a 10 minute drive from where we were. The view was breathtaking and well worth the few hours we spent hiking up the mountain with the dogs. Highly recommend as we will absolutely be returning.

Very well-appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

I wish I could recommend this property, but it is in desperate need of maintenance before receiving any other guests. Overall, we had an okay time, but it was certainly not worth the price tag and the stress. The house is far more rustic than it appears in the photos, which is okay and could even be charming without all the major issues we encountered. There is firewood and charcoal which was nice for starting fires in the pit out back, and the house was pretty clean (with the exception of the dirty coffee pot and a couple dirty plates). The yard was terribly overgrown and in desperate need of a mow. The outdoor furniture is also a bit shabby. It would have been nice to have better furniture out there. Unfortunately though, that wasn’t our main issue with the property. This house has a wasp infestation, and though the people at Vacasa were very nice when we contacted them, it still took two days for someone to come out and knock down the ten nests around the property. Even after they came, we spent our remaining days spraying dozens of wasps near the door and around the deck which did not exactly make for a relaxing vacation. Add to that, a broken sliding door (which we managed to repair ourselves on the second to last day) that had a two inch gap in it allowing all sorts of bugs, including wasps and mosquitos, into the house. There are also only screens on a couple windows making the house very hot as you’re only able to open three windows for air and there is no air conditioning. All in all, it was not a positive experience and our money and vacation time would have been much better spent on another property. I hope the homeowner makes the necessary fixes to make this a safe and enjoyable property for future guests.
Manager response:

The spaciousness, the well equipped kitchen, the location in the quiet woods, vicinity of ski resort mountains, the backyard and roads for hiking, the cosiness, everything!!

Kitchen is very well stocked. First place we have stayed that had a decent set of knives! Water is heated with propane, once we shut the nearby window, it no longer came in the house. (I have a severe propane allergy and it was OK, but not ideal.) Suggest a new mattress, one side shows the age. I am also informed that you antique drying rack (very cute) is mounted upside down! All in all, would stay again and recommend to others.

Very clean and well stocked house. The open plan and timbered walls were cool. Good size for 4 adults. Location by roadside was easy to find and quiet. Short car trip to Mount Stratton and Snow and Grout pond. Plenty of local info and maps.

We just absolutely LOVED the cabin. It’s sooo spacious, and gorgious! The open floorplan is very nice! The house is super comfortable, beds sleep like a baby, bathroom is great. Location is secluded, yet close enough to attractions or little towns. Just loved all of it!
Phillip B. Aug 2019
Very accessible yet secluded; has most everything you'd need; kitchen has basically everything to cook with; bathroom is modern and plenty of space to stretch out and take it easy. Dog run/fence & dog door is super helpful for a furry travel companion. :-)

Beautiful and secluded
Joy S. Aug 2019
The cabin was comfortable with a rustic, camp-like feel. We all loved the open design and the wood walls and floors. We were there in the summer and would have appreciated some screens on the windows - when the windows were open for fresh air we also got a lot of insects coming in - but other than that, it was a perfect cabin for us and our two college-aged sons (they loved the loft!). We would certainly book this cabin again if we revisited this area.
Manager response:
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your feedback, Joy. We can certainly look into providing window screens to better enjoy some fresh air in the home. We look forward to hosting you again!

spacious with high ceiling. backyard needs some maintenance
Michael S. Oct 2018
We really loved that house.
M Garvey G. Oct 2018
It was very well supplied, but a bit dark. We wanted to have a fire as it got rainy and cold but the extension from the stove to the ceiling was missing and we smoked ourselves out. We were disappointed that we couldn't have a fire. But it was lovely and quiet and in the middle of nowhere!!! There was a pretty raging stream across the street. Just watch out for the poison ivy. There could have been better outside furniture. Just a few worn and old plastic chairs. It would have been nice to have better furniture, a table to sit outside and have breakfast, coffee etc. But overall we did like where we were.

The house was great me, my wife and our 2 dogs. Nice backyard for the pups to run. The kitchen enabled us to have some nice home cooked meals. Loved the simple layout of house. It was clean and had everything we needed. Only thing is I would bring my own towls. They provide some not so good hotel towels.
