We loved our time there. The home is so close to the beach that you can hear the surf. It’s actually so close that we had to close windows at night just the dampen the sound of the Surf. You pretty much have the beach to yourself. There are only a couple houses on it and not readily accessible to the general public. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Lots of coffee filters in the pantry. The view from every room, including some of the bathrooms is incredible. There is a small grocery store in Hanalei that is well stocked. There are also several local restaurants and souvenir stores.

You are pretty much at the end of the road on the north shore so decent little drive to Lihue which is the main town on the island. Road to the home can be a little harrowing at night with several 1 lane bridges but by the end of our stay I got comfortable with it. If you want a home away from hustle and bustle and with a view to die for this is the place

Great comfortable home for being right on the ocean.

This house was amazing!! It’s steps from the beach. Beautiful views from all the decks. The beach is pretty private and a quite oasis from the busier beaches. They have body boards and snorkel equipment for you to use. Would highly recommend this house to everyone visiting Kauai. I personally love the location.

We loved how there was amazing ocean views from every room. Very relaxing and enjoyed the beautiful beach a few steps away. There were a lot of waves during our stay so went to sleep to the sound of crashing waves. Very private.

Great house and location. Was clean upon arrival. The waves are so loud but wonderful! Dryer dial broke. Power was shut off during our stay due to owner auto pay setup error. Local manager worked to get it restored and did. House could use a few updates. Not enough kitchen equipment. Overall, we would stay again as we think it provides the best view and wave action and private beach north of Hanelei.
Manager response:
Hello, David! Thank you for staying with us and sharing your experience. We apologize for the issues you encountered and appreciate you providing us with the opportunity to address them promptly during your stay to improve your comfort. We hope to see you again!

Beautiful setting. Right on the beach. Super private. Only have one neighbor to the west and it’s tough to even see the house. The last home on the stretch of beach before Wainiha Bay. About a 50 minute drive to Lihue Airport. Hanalei city, about 5 minute drive, is a perfect tropical little island town with great food and shopping. The best beaches on the north side are on either side of you. Two Tips: if you want to go to hike or go to beach in state park, at the far North end of the island, you have to make reservations in advance as they’re limiting the number of entrants on a daily basis. Second tip is look up the highway construction schedule between Princeville and Hanalei. A massive landslide back in March left the main highway impassable and they’re doing construction and there are only certain times of day during the week that they’ll allow you across the bridge (overall it was actually really great because it almost limited the amount of tourists wanting to visit the north shore. Also highly recommend a helicopter tour. We went with Safari and our pilot, Kyle, was great! Hell was highlight of our trip. Would absolutely go back.

We Loved the location and the beauty of the surroundings. Vacasa was really good at getting back to us quickly with different request. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous views from every bedroom and deck right on a private beach. Convenient location to Haena State Park, Tunnels Beach, and Hanalei Bay. Perfect location for the Kalalau Trail. Lots of room for our family. Snorkeling and beach gear was helpful. The sun rises were amazing. We hope to come back some day.

Wonderful house in a great location. Our family of 5 (3 teens and 2 adults) had a great time. Loved that the backyard is the Pacific Ocean and each of the bedrooms and the living room look right out on it. We ate out on the deck almost every night and enjoyed the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The proximity to the best parts of the Napoli Coast -- beaches, hikes, Hanalei Bay -- makes the location exceptional. It is worth noting that the house is on the main road, however, once in the house the ocean drowns out the sounds of the passing cars. I would recommend that the owners add a clothes line on which to hang wet beach towels.

What a great place! We loved the location and proximity to the ocean - great to hear the waves crashing as you fall asleep. The house was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We did quite a bit of cooking while there and thought the kitchen had more than required to make a perfect meal. A beautiful piece of paradise.

We had a delightful time. Everyday was an adventure for all ages 3-69 years. Winter in northern kauai is not a gentle time, but we found places and beaches that were great fun. The home we stayed in was clean and nice. My only comment is that there is not enough light in the dining/lanai area. How is a group able to draw or play games in the dark? LOL. This could be easily remedied. Thanks again.
