Oceanfront home with exceptional ocean views, private hot tub, & wood fireplace

This oceanfront manor in Neahkahnie showcases exceptional ocean views and a serene, zen-like location for your next Oregon Coast retreat! Offering guests unbeatable views of the coastline, utter silence and absolute privacy, a gorgeous interior with a gourmet kitchen, and two master suites, Edgecliff will truly feel like your home away from home. Nestled on a cliff just north of Manzanita, this house is in a quiet location far away from traffic and noise. You'll be inspired by the breathtaking views of the coast and the sounds of the surf and birdsong. You can see the southern ocean monoliths at Tillamook Head all the way to the northwest base of Neahkahnie Mountain. Manzanita is just a few minutes drive south, where you can grab a coffee, go window shopping, or grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants in town.

The quiet home offers a bright and open layout with high ceilings and picture windows, plus a unique split-level floorplan that will give everyone a quiet place to retreat to, whether you want space to work or create art, a window to gaze out of, or a cozy spot to take a quiet nap with the waves as a soundtrack. From the entryway, follow the hall to the right to find yourself in the open great room, with panoramic sea views, a sitting area, dining table, and gourmet kitchen. On stormy nights, get cozy by the wood-burning fireplace and watch the show through the windows - this is the Oregon Coast at its finest!

The kitchen will make chefs feel right at home, offering double ovens, an extra large slow cooker, Breville mixer, espresso maker, coffee grinder, full assortment of utensils, and a dishwasher. The kitchen island adds more prep space and has an indoor Jenn-air grill embedded. The house is fully stocked with a variety of spices and teas. Adjacent to the kitchen is a utility room, with a commercial-grade washer and dryer plus a built-in iron and ironing board. Across from the front door is a family room, complete with an inviting sectional sofa (with electric recline features) and a smart HDTV with a sound system and DVD/CD player. Free WiFi is also provided throughout the home for your convenience. You might like to step outside to the spacious deck looking out on the ocean, or explore the back garden frequently visited by deer and other wildlife. Binoculars are provided to view nesting waterfowl on the cliffs.

When you're ready to head to the beach, drive or walk about three-quarters of a mile south to an easy access point. This stretch of beach north of Manzanita is very quiet, great for whale-watching and taking long walks. After you work up an appetite, head into central Manzanita for a bite to eat at one of the restaurants. Bread and Ocean is a favorite for coffee and baked items, and Neahkahnie Bistro is another mainstay. There are markets, souvenir shops, and plenty of other businesses to check out along Laneda Avenue. Manzanita is a charming town with plenty to offer, though you might also like to hop in the car and drive to Wanda's Cafe in Nehalem or to Rising Star in Wheeler for a bite to eat.

Edgecliff is ready to make your next vacation restful and memorable. Come experience everything that makes this house so special!

Truly a sanctuary on the hillside! Incredible views. The great room is beautifully light and bright. Wonderful privacy in the backyard. The hot tub was amazing, gazing at the stars at night. Just a few short minutes to go into Manzanita for restaurants & peek at the cute shops. Highly recommend.
Rick S. Sep 2022
The ocean panorama is breathtaking! And the nearby cliffs plummet right into the sea. Wow!
Eliza G. Sep 2022
This place has wonderful ocean views, bath overlooking the water as well as outdoor hot tub where you can relax and watch the sunset. Neutral, comfortable decor.
Kathy C. Apr 2022
This home has all the space and views you could want to have. It is a short drive to the beach, but there are no issues finding parking. (We traveled in April 2022). Lots of people walking the beach, but not crowded at all. The only reason for the 4 stars is the home is somewhat dated and there were a lot of lights that either needed new light bulbs or didn't work. Also there were issues with some of the sliding doors out to the backyard. The master bedroom door -we could not get open at all. The sliding door off the dining room needs to be checked as it was very hard to lock. All in all it was a peaceful restful place to visit. But for the price, we expected things to be tip top shape.
Manager response:
Hi, Kathy! We're so glad you enjoyed your time at the coast. The light bulbs have been replaced, and a handyman is scheduled to repair the back sliding door. The slider in the master works when following the instructions posted on the lock. Thank you so much for staying with us!

Our stay couldn’t have been better! I agree with the previous reviews & the scenery was absolutely beautiful! We will definitely be coming back here.
Brandy A. Mar 2022
This place is incredible. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of space to enjoy the endless view. Hot tub was a super bonus! Plenty of extra bath a beach/ hot tub towels.
Devon D. Feb 2022
The view is unbeatable, it's close to downtown Manzanita, the hot tub is amazing. I with I owned this house! It's one of our family's favorite coast getaways.
Kecia F. Feb 2022
This is one of those situations you don’t want people to know about this gem so it is available when you want to go back. The view is amazing. This house is a nice two bedroom that is super comfortable with an amazing ocean view. We will definitely be back!
Tom S. Dec 2021
Very private location with an amazing view of the coast. The house is roomy and has lots of windows. Nearby Manzanita is convenient and pleasant. We'll be back for sure.

The sunset views from the hot tub are outstanding. We found the house very comfortable with comfortable couches in the living room, a huge dining table with views out to the ocean and a great kitchen to cook in. The only drawback with the kitchen was the pendant light fixture over the island was too low for my 6'4" husband to use the island. Fortunately, there are miles of other counters to use so there is plenty of workspace for tall people. The downstairs bedroom is a king-size bed with a divide down the middle but the mattresses were very comfortable. The lower bath has a lovely soaking tub with a great shower head, that worked for tall people. This home is very private and peaceful. We would love to visit again!

This home was incredibly spacious for a four person stay! The views were beautiful!

We stayed at Edgecliff in Neahkahnie (Manzanita) OR for a week in mid-July. With four adults and a baby (my husband, myself, our 9-month-old, and my parents) it was the absolute perfect property. This a classic coastal home with updated amenities. It was the ideal layout and size for our party of 4 (+ a little guy). It was comfortable, exceptionally private, thoughtfully laid out, well appointed, and had stunningly breathtaking views.

We have a handful of family members who live in Manzanita and so the proximity and access to all this charming seaside town has to offer was a huge bonus for us. It was a 2 minute drive to anything we needed; restaurants, grocery store, surf shop, the pristine public beach, coffee shops... yet we were literally still a world apart situated on the edge of a picturesque cliff. Every sunrise and sunset was more spectacular than the previous day. We marveled at the fact you couldn't find better views of the Pacific Coastline in California's Big Sur... nor could you find fresher seafood or better local surfing.

We drove a few minutes to Short Sands (Smuggler's Cove) every morning for sunrise surf sessions, and were back in time for brunch at the Offshore Grill and coffee at Manzanita News & Espresso. We would peel off our wetsuits, hose off the saltwater, and then soak in the heavenly Cedar hot tub after every surf session while our baby explored the expansive and safely fenced yard. We picked fresh, ripe blackberries from the bushes growing on the property and ate meals on the spacious patio gazing out on the ocean.

When we had a small issue with the TV and cable box, the local Vacasa property manager showed up immediately to help fix it for us. We were floored by the responsiveness and friendly service.

We will most certainly be back again- there is nowhere more magical than the Oregon Coast in summer, and there couldn't be a better homebase than Edgecliff.

The view, the cedar hot tub at sunset

Great location and amazing views. Only negative was the upstairs bedroom is right above the downstairs master bedroom and you can hear every footstep. Other then that the place was great.
Tim R. Apr 2021
The kind of place I daydream about. I hope to make it back someday.
Melody R. Mar 2021
The house was beautiful. It has separate living areas which provide a little privacy for different activities. The surroundings are just breathtaking and relaxing. Definitely worth the stay.

I have rented a LOT of homes on the Oregon Coast and this place is my new favorite! This is the second time we've stayed there and I would definitely rent it again in the future.
Kimberly E. Jan 2021
We appreciate that this home is on the rental market. It sits on a remarkable view lot & the home is designed to maximize the scenery. It is a spacious & comfortable home best suited to honeymooners or small families with older children. The later group may need a sleeping bag - it would be helpful if the home had two twin beds in one of the bedrooms. While it’s a tempting rental for two couples, the bedrooms are stacked above each other and there is no noise privacy. Given the holiday price point, the home has a few rough edges - enough to ding a star but it not affect our general enjoyment of the home.
Jane G. Dec 2020
The home is beautifully appointed and has a to-die-for view.
Nancy Enz L. Oct 2020
The view is stupendous. The house is comfortable, especially for 2 couples, with the 2 master suites. Would have given it 5 stars but for a few snafus: broken refrigerator door; cobwebs; stains on couches, bed headboard (ew), and bedroom rug needs replacement; BBQ didn't work; hot tub not hooked up, firewood located in locked garage with "Do Not Enter" sign on door; front hedge needs trimming to allow second car to park; broken screen doors; dirty windows; fireplace damper broken; took a few days to get a response from local contact about some of these issues. Sounds like a lot of problems, but all minor when the view and location are taken into account. We would stay here again. With a little TLC it would get 5 stars.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review. We are glad to see you enjoyed a pleasant stay here and we appreciate your feedback! Our team and the homeowner have taken your words to heart and we are pleased to note that we have corrected the concerns and suggestions you raised. The refrigerator door handle and screen doors have been replaced, stains from the couch and headboard have been removed, the BBQ has been cleaned and confirmed to be working, the windows have been cleaned, the hedges trimmed, and the fireplace has been checked and it's in great working order. The hot tub is in the process of being repaired and we are working diligently to have it available for future guests as soon as possible. We hope to have the opportunity to host you for your next trip!
Caroline K. Sep 2020
The setting of this vacation home was priceless. The house itself is set up on a cliff with complete privacy. I decided not to give it a full 5-stars because the house is a little dingy and needs updating.
Ryan G. Sep 2020
Our family had a great stay here. Beautiful, clean home with incredible view. Really neat, quiet area of the Oregon coast and easy drive to cannon beach, seaside. Highly recommended!!
Hannah H. Aug 2020
The house was perfect for our family. Big kitchen and big common areas. Beautiful backyard with some of the most beautiful views of the ocean and sunset. The beds were comfortable and we felt completely at home! Thank you!
Lisa P. Jun 2020
Gorgeous views, beautiful house and very private. Lots of birds and also deer coming through the yard!
Terrence T. Jun 2020
Thank you for a wonderful long weekend. We were probably the first guests opening up after COVID. When we couldn’t find the grill or deck chairs, Vacasa solves the problem quickly (stored in locked garage). Same when the dishwasher didn’t drain on our first use... quick fix by Vacasa Kenny!
Thank you to the owners.
Frederic B. Mar 2020
We loved the house, the view, and the quiet location. It was close enough to walk to the beach, to town, and up to 5 miles on relatively flat and clean sand. We had a few problems initially with the house but the response was quick and effective. We would rent this place again.
Kyle K. Mar 2020
There was a clear view of the ocean from every room. Wonderful and easy to hear the waves. The home itself was very unique and comfortable. And I love Nehalem; such a cozy and friendly village.
Diane M. Dec 2019
Spacious, peaceful, quiet, private with all amenities we needed (except firewood and grill). Easy to relax with games, movies, puzzles, cooking, sleeping in, watching the waves crash. Absolutely stunning views, gorgeous home in and out.
Gail S. Sep 2019
Debbie K. Sep 2019
the view was spectacular and loved sitting on the deck. Kitchen was fun to cook in. Beds were very comfortable.
Debbie M. Sep 2019
Lovely view of the ocean from the cliffs above. There is no access from the property to the beach, but its a short drive down the hill. This is located in a quiet little town, so not the place to stay if you are looking for a lot of action.
The house is a good size for 2 couples. The one downside is the bedroom configuration. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed. That room is above the master and every step they took and every word they spoke could be heard down below. There was only 1 TV in the house, and it was complicated to operate, even for tech savvy people reading the instructions that were left.
Christine L. Aug 2019
My family and I loved staying at this home. The views are some of the best I have ever seen. The house is well maintained, beautiful, and very comfortable.
Joshua B. Jun 2019
Fantastic house with unbeatable view. One of top vistas on the West Coast from the privacy of the house's deck. House is very well appointed and an inspiring vacation home layout. Town is close by and offers everything you need. An incredible place to detach and relax.
Jared F. Jun 2019
Great Location, Nicely Appointed, Panoramic Views from multiple house locations- even the downstairs shower!(don't worry it's Limo tinted on the outside). Great choice for out 20th anniversary get away.
regina e. May 2019
Perched against Manzanita's Overlook Cliff, this home's privacy and solitude were a gift. Nestled between soaring pines, its panoramic ocean views were stunning. The home was well-appointed, beautiful and comfortable and a walk to the beach. Thank you, we will return.
Lisa J. Mar 2019
My family and I truly enjoyed the Edgecliff. The home was immaculate. The rooms are spacious with views from each. Windows galore. We enjoyed waking up to deer in the backyard overlooking the ocean and gorgeous sunsets on the patio. We will be back!
nicholas w. Sep 2018
Pictures don’t do this place justice, it’s incredible, view is spectacular and house was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything you might ever need to cook even complicated meals, absolutely 5-star!
