Rustic cabin with free WiFi and woodstove, wildlife viewing

When you think of a vacation in the mountains, what comes to mind? Your own cabin, blue sky through the trees, wildlife, wood burning fires, and great company - this cabin on Ridge Road is the one for you.

This charming cabin is the perfect escape for a small family or a few friends looking to get away from it all. The interior pine walls draw the cabin together from room to room for a cozy and rustic feeling. The kitchen has solid oak cabinets, stocked with all the tools you need to make a great meal including plates, glasses, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. The dining area seats six, so gather round together to enjoy some great food and relive your favorite parts of the day!

The cabin is in a great location for those looking to get outside. It's within walking distance to the lake. After a short drive, you can be hiking in The Crags in Divide or in Mueller State Park. It’s also just miles from Pike National Forest which has trails for hikers, bikers, and ATVs! Or maybe you’re looking for some nightlife? Cripple Creek’s casinos are a 40-minute drive away! And after a day of hiking, biking, or fishing at Eleven Mile Reservoir, there’s nothing better than a wood burning stove in the living room with a cup of cocoa or maybe a glass of wine for you and your special someone as you celebrate a great weekend together.

There’s DirecTV and WiFi at the home, so no one will miss the big game, and you can upload all the pictures you took during the day for the friends back home to see!

A fully remodeled bathroom has a combination tub and shower. The cabin may be small, but it’s got plenty of space for everyone to go their own way at the end of the day to unwind and recharge for the next morning.

The cabin is located just outside of Divide, Colorado, and many of our favorite Pikes Peak area attractions are just a short drive away including Eleven Mile Reservoir State Park and the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Our location provides quick access to Hwy 24, which heads east toward Colorado Springs, or west toward Lake George and Wilkerson Pass.

The cabin is so cozy! I loved it! Very, very clean! The beds were very hard though and we had trouble sleeping. There isnt a lot to do from the cabin, the local ponds are off limits. It gave us a nice base camp though to head off on other adventures.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Joshua. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement, and we'll pass your comments regarding bed comfort onto our management team for consideration. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future.

Close to Grags trails for hiking the beginning of Pikes Peak. Nice cabin not too close to other cabins (although you do see other cabins). Super friendly deers.

Off the beaten path! Cozy, comfy, restful cabin.

It was a great location for our family to stay at while we attended an event at Charis Bible College with Andrew Wommack Ministries and enjoyed hiking in the area.

The rustic atmosphere is ideal for a fishing trip. The cabin is clean, well appointed and well stocked (spices, pots, pans, coffee maker, etc.). The beds are surprisingly comfortable. Unlike some other cabins, the TV and DVD player actually work! My adult son and I enjoyed our stay very much.

My brother my dad and I used this cabin as a place to stay for our weekend fishing trip up in the mountains. It did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone or even a family looking to get away from the city and kick back and relax at 9,000ft up in the clouds down a quiet dirt road where local wild life such as mule deer were a common sight right out the front window of the cabin. The few neighbors that are around were very quiet and respectful. And as far as the cabin its self goes, upon entry, it smelled and appeared very cleaned and well taking care of. It also appears that the majority of their clientele that rent this cabin are well mannered and respectful people. Very few repairs were noticed or needed. My family and I enjoyed every minuet of our stay. If I'm going to nit pick anything negative, it would be that the shower head in the bathroom does have a small leak and sometimes sprays off to the side and if the show curtain isn't pressed right up against the wall the water can spray outside the shower. Not a terribly large leak but enough to cause a small puddle of water to form on the floor outside the shower after about 5-10 min of not noticing it. But that was almost not even worth mentioning because everything else was perfect. And it's an easy fix but I didn't want to play plumber on someone else's property. So I just draped a wash cloth over the leaking fitting and boom, problem solved. Because my luck would be as soon as I go to tighten the shower head it explodes in a million pieces in my hand and somehow ruptures all the plumbing in the house so the foundation ends up needing to be repaired due to wood rot and the formation of black mold. I know how these hair pin tourist traps works. Fix something JUUSSTT enough with duct tape, chewing gum and a prayer, and leave it as bait for the next unsuspecting guy to walk along and breath on it and it either spontaneously burst into flams or turns into dust. Haha, all joking aside this gets a 5 out of 5 from me and my family and we will be back. Thank you Vacasa. You helped make this a trip to remember.

My family of 3 truly enjoyed this cabin. It was very well stocked, clean and comfortable. Location was great for all the things we wanted to do. Beautiful area, mule deer walked right up to the cabin while we were enjoying coffee on the front porch. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing place to stay, this is it!

Loved the cabin. Such a great location and such great hosts. The views were incredible and the hosts provided plenty of things to make sure we had a good stay. I would definitely recommend and/ or book again.
Lisa D. Jun 2020
House was clean and close to many hiking trails in the area. The beds were not very comfortable and could use updated mattresses. Sad we couldn't use the lake for our stand-up paddle boards. Should think about allowing day passes/half day passes for people renting in the area. Despite a few hang-ups, the property was quiet and relaxing.

This cabin is all rustic charm. It does have heat besides the wood stove but the wood stove works great. It was everything I neeeded.
Brandon K. Jan 2020

The house was immaculate, with very useful and then I choose. The area was quiet, beautiful, clean, and safe. the very adorable little town of divide was close by, and within an hour, there were many excellent activities to be enjoyed.

Jamey W. Sep 2019
Our stay was very nice, after a day in the dirt it was wonderful to come back to a hot shower and comfortable chair. Would stay again and recommend to others. Thank you.
Megan B. Aug 2019
This cabin was located perfectly. Secluded enough in the mountains, but still within decent driving distance to activities. It was tidy and spacious, and having a fully stocked kitchen made it even better. Quick replies to any questions we asked as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a real mountain getaway!
Mitchell S. Aug 2019
Really enjoyed our stay here, seemed quite clean and had pretty much everything we needed. Beautiful lake and views within a short walk. It was alittle hot on a couple of those August afternoons and no air conditioning so we had to sweat it out. Might take that into consideration if your vacation is gonna be upwards of 75-80 degrees. That sun can sure cook at that altitude.
Louise G. Aug 2019
Loved the layout of the cabin and it was very large for a cabin. We had all the conveniences of home.
Alicia D. Aug 2019
The cabin is well kept and comfortable. Being a midwesterner i was a little taken aback that there was no a/c. Didnt turn out to be a problem but might want to add a couple of fans.
Lawrence E. Jul 2019
It was nice to be secluded, even from neighbors. Not too far from many places. No matter where you go, it's always a site to see.
Joshua W. Jun 2019
Great location in private community to getaway from it all. Everything was as advertised and Vacasa adds little touches to make you feel welcome when you get there. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay there again!!
Gary @ Linda M. Jun 2019
The house was everything I expected it to be. I would definitely go back.
Sergiu C. May 2019
Very quaint cottage, lots of nature surrounding, saw a deer one morning. Loved the firewood left for us for the outside fire pit. If you require more privacy bear in mind this is a corner location, no fence to the backyard and not so much privacy, 2 neighbors and road exposure.
Nancy K. Feb 2019
This is a gem of a winter retreat.
We spent 3 days and 4 nights in this lovely cabin surrounded by snow covered evergreens. The temperatures outside were in the 20’s but the info the cabin stayed toasty warm.
One of the nice things about Colorado is even when there’s snow on the ground the sun can be shining. This wonderful cabin allows a lot of natural light in so there’s no way to have the winter blues.
A great kitchen with everything you need, full size fridge to top it off. There is even a full size laundry room!
The bed is comfy and each of the rooms has tons of closet space. Great water pressure for a nice warm relaxing shower.
A wide variety of games to choose from and a great big table to play at. A fireplace to add some warmth and atmosphere while you enjoy the evening with your special someone.
Traci M. Feb 2019
As advertised!

The pictures do not do this place justice! As soon as we walked in we felt right at home. The location was perfect for our small family getaway! I highly recommend this cabin!
