Enjoyed a get together with a couple of old college roommates. Did some fishing at Goose Lake. The cabin was a perfect place to stay.

Cool little place that had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. And I do mean little: the space is tiny, but it was plenty big for two of us. It's a few miles outside of town, but there aren't a ton of amenities in Trout Lake anyway. Being out in the country also allowed to hear an amazing serenade from a coyote pack one night!

Great spot to duck out of town and get away from everything for a while. The views are beautiful, and its a short 30 min drive to the towns of White Salmon and Hood River. Plenty of nearby hiking trails as well! The spot was beautiful and the hosts were very friendly!

Loved the beds and bedding. It's small and quaint. Think the railing should be worked on to be more safer. Had all dishes and pots and pans needed. Could not dump the garbage cause trashcans were already full when we got there. Clean, has internet, kind of hard to find. Overall a nice place.

The coffee machine was great. I was surprised it changed on my second visit.

Location is nice. The house is tiny and the kitchenette doesn’t have much so it’s hard to cook anything. The worst part is the bathroom smells like sewage. Since the place is so small that it’s hard to escape the smell.
Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us, Laine. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the location of the home, but regret that the size was not suitable for your party. We make every effort to present clear, accurate descriptions of our homes in order for guests to make informed decisions on their rental choices. We encourage guests to reach out with any questions or concerns prior to booking, as we are happy to help. We are also sincerely sorry to hear that there was an odor in the home during your stay. We encourage guests to reach out to our 24/7 Guest Services Department, as our local staff is on standby should any need arise. Since your departure, our local staff has worked to remedy this issue. We thank you for bringing it to our attention, so that we may provide a better quality of experiences for our future guests. Overall this was a nice place to stay. The view out the big window is amazing and nobody can see in. There is actually a toaster / convection oven in the bathroom so there is more to cook with. The bed was pretty comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked really well. There is lots of room to walk around the land around the cabin which is really nice. There is even a labyrinth made out of rocks on the property. The air conditioner is listed as a partial air conditioner and that was pretty true. It made some of the room pretty cool and other parts not as cool. The sink and cooktop are very high and since we are both short it was a little cumbersome to wash dishes. Also, there is no sink in the bathroom. The whole area has amazing hiking, caves, beautiful lakes and incredible scenery overall.

We went up to do some snowshoeing in the Mount Adams area for winter break. It was a great location, beautiful views, and the snow cooperated. The only drawbacks were the ants in the kitchenette crawling on all the silverware and coffee maker (which needed many washings to remove the dead bodies) and the railing on the deck which lacked a bottom rail. We were concerned our dog might slip under and fall off when she pushed to go outside. But, happy we stayed there.
Hello Jeffrey, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the issues you had during your stay. We have provided your valuable feedback to our local manager. We are sending housekeeping to the home to address the issue with ants. Our maintenance team is going to work on the railing on the deck. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we can host you again.

Perfect location for your southern WA vacation, Mt Adams is visible from inside and Mt Hood can be seen facing south from the property if it’s clear enough. So much within an hour of driving from here, and for all skill levels of hiking/exploring. We hiked up to Sleeping Beauty, hiked to Falls Creek Falls, went into an ice cave and checked out some natural lava bridges. Cabin only had a Keurig coffee machine with no cups for it. Filters were provided but no regular coffee pot so either bring yours, bring k-cups or plan to get coffee elsewhere. Also let the person who moves around at night sleep on the top bunk otherwise they’ll unplug the wireless router overnight.

We really enjoyed our time relaxing in the shade on a warm day. We had been up on Mt Adams earlier and it was clear but cold, and had been raining overnight with the camp grounds looking cold and wet, and crowded, and returning to our cabin at the area of Trout Lake was a warm and sunny oasis. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to experience this area.

The location was great for what we wanted to do in the area, and we loved how private the home was. The deck in the back was nice, but the railing doesn't go to the floor of the deck so we were nervous our dog might fall off. We also would have liked the deck in the front of the house because the front has a great view of the mountain. We saw a deer and a flock of wild turkeys, so we were definitely in nature.
Thank you for your review, Netanis! We appreciate you bringing the deck rails to our attention and apologize for any inconvenience. We are glad to hear there were no incidents, and appreciate that heads up for our future guests! We are thrilled to hear that overall your visit was enjoyable and hope to host you again someday!
