This trip was a big deal since we cancelled last year due to my mom dying and my breast cancer treatments. We rented the condo from July 25-31 for two day lobster season. I am a reasonable person and own my own business PLUS an airbnb unit, so I am very forgiving. Two of the three vacasa people helped a lot. I spent Sunday night, Monday, and Tuesday texting and calling vacasa about various problems. Check in sun 4pm - fridge not cold ok so put stuff in. Maybe it has just been turned off and has to cool. Go to eat and come back and still not cold. Put stuff in freezer. Call vacasa 8:55pm, talk to winton. Tech will come out to check on fridge. Requested asap because we have $300 food in fridge. They could reimburse coolers, ice etc.

Monday am freezer not working and IDK if food is actually ok to eat because it wasn't cold overnight but still move all perishable food to friend's place in same condo two floors down. Mon 10am talk to amelia about fridge and all overnight problems. She gets it and I send her pics of problem areas. Chipped tiles by front door. Dust from fan all over us in bedroom on both beds and floor and blankets. Like 10 years of dust. Giant stains on carpet and one even bigger than 18". Missing cover from back of remote. Stove knob not even attached. Dirty kitchen hardware. Dirty electrical cover. Paint chipped and stripped all over the apartment. Bathroom back of door dirty, tons of shower scum, shower curtain moldy and hair, around shower handle there's all mold inside. Inside of bedroom door some smeared yuck and also curtain smeared yuck too. Amelia offers coolers and ice too. Amelia left at the end of her work day.

Monday Meghan 6pm they're delivering fridge in 30 minutes. The handles are scratched to hell and back on new fridge. And the carpet is scratched from fridge moving in or out. Sent pics and more because dining chairs one seat bottom fell off and I stepped on screws so now I need tetanus shot. One dining chair has been taped back together. Stains on couch cushions and so we still have all our food in our friend's condo. New fridge takes 12 hours to cool. How dealing with cleanliness?

Meghan said No cleaning while rented due to covid so there's a vacuum in closet and it's against policy for them to go into unit while rented. But I'm supposed to clean the dust off the nasty carpet. Shouldn't the condo have been cleaned before our stay? Also, she won't reimburse me for the food because "fridge is out of her control". 8:15pm someone will get back to you for some kind of compensation.

Tuesday Amelia will get me a $250 refund. Done with conversation 2:45pm

Tuesday Megan will refund cleaning fee $100 and maybe more for groceries. Will let me know more. Never heard from her again. Done with conversation 12:17pm

Before we left, I noticed big chunks of concrete by front door missing on either side and no weather stripping. They must have replaced door recently and didn't get a chance to paint around it.

Pros - Air conditioning worked well. clean and soft sheets and blankets in bedroom and soft clean towels.

I'm angry I spent so much of my vacation dealing with these problems. Looking back to reviews for this place, they had problems before we came with the fridge too.

Great location and easy to check in. Location to beach is just 2 miles and also to the grocery store and the main highway. Refrigerator had some issues but Vacasa addressed it quickly. Clean and pleasant place to stay.

We loved the view of the canal. Every day we would spend some time just watching the boats, fish, even a couple manatees. The only drawbacks were how loud the dehumidifier was in the living room and how few channels we got on the tv. Everything else was very nice.

We really enjoyed our stay...had a little trouble figuring out the TV's. No kleenix and only one toilet paper. But the rooms were great...easy checkin and checkout. Very centrally located with ease of getting around Marathon and the Keys. Would recommend.

Please dont waste your money and time. The place is full of roaches, no heat, the water heater doesn't work. The roaches were fighting to get in the microwave. The TV has no better channel.. please please be warned.. This is the most horrible please to stay...

The AC worked good. The Breeze is good by the stairwell. The view is like the building should have been built facing the other direction. If you have a boat, get a slip from the skipjack marina for $50 a night, then ask for a pool key. It's included for marina guests but renters can't get in. The launch fee is $30 in AND out, so just get a slip and its included.

Room worked great for us and a home base for our fishing trip. We rented a boat from Coco's boat rentals. Each morning we would wake up, get bait, fish, then come back to fillet and freeze the fish before either eating fish or going out. The kitchen had all the utensils we could need. There really wasn't any spices or oils, etc however. We loved the freezer to keep fish in. Only downside was we were on the fourth floor. Made for good exercise when hauling fish and gear up and down the stairs each day. We took advantage of the late checkout so we could clean fish and take a shower before departing the Keys.

The unit itself has good rooms to work with however, the price point was a bit high for no pool access and a two mile drive to the beach access. I'm sure they have better places for the same price. This wasn't it.
