The view and peace and quiet was wonderful

Except for the obvious: excellent view, the house is nicely decorated and furnished - in a better condition than typical rentals.

This place is amazing, comfortable, has all u need for a beautiful getaway

This location is absolutely amazing. The house is great and was such a nice place to stay. HOWEVER, there were a few negatives about the care of said house. We have stayed in many places before and this one by far was the least taken care of. Out of a 8 piece knife set you get 3 long blade butcher knives and the rest are missing. We don’t expect to have all the amenities but I don’t want to have to haul a knife set with me to a cabin (there was very little options for pots and pans) The front door also doesn’t lock from the inside, it’s just always “locked” for the outside therefore whenever you pull the door handle from inside, the door opens (no deadbolt). This was absolutely awful with kids. The 2 year old was always sneaking out. (Deadbolt always gives a set of assurance and the 2 year old cannot open or reach the deadbolts).
The fan control module in the bathroom is busted and just ticks nonstop and then turns the fan on at random times.(pain in the butt for light sleepers) There is also approx 6 remotes for the main TV, good luck finding the right one.
Overall we would highly recommend this place to anyone. However Vacasa needs to do some quality checks on this beautiful gem! The items listed as negatives are easily fixable!
Manager response:
Hi, Viktor! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your helpful feedback. New pots and pans were purchased in February, and we will ensure knives are plentiful and in good shape. The front door automatically locks when shut but can still be opened from the interior. The fan has a built-in timer that does make some noise as it keeps time; the fan would no longer be functional if we disabled the timer. The noise is not as audible when bedroom and bathroom doors are closed. The property manager will ensure all remotes are staged with their coordinating devices. Thank you!

Lovely location with great views. Comfortable house close to family. House is in good shape with just a little work, could be prefect.

I don't think I've ever before had a vacation rental so perfect - I can't think of a single thing I would have improved! The place was clean, comfortably furnished, and just as spacious as the pictures imply; all of the electronics were easy to use; the kitchen had all of the cookware we needed; the hot tub was great and the shower water pressure was awesome; even check-in/check-out were easy!

I would book this rental again in a heartbeat, and I don't think I've ever said that before!

We really enjoyed our visit to this cabin in Gold Bar, it was an hour drive for us so the location was perfect. You can see snowy peaks all around including from the window when it's clear. The cabin itself with the perfect sized for the two of us and our little dog and extremely cozy with the fire on in the living area.

The river access was great for walking out toddler out to throw rocks and the tech inside the home was far superior to any other cabins. This place is phenomenal!

Overall it's a really nice place, I would definitely stay again. Just one minus on the kitchenware and the species. Every pans are terribly burned and scratched, and a lot of the species are expired.
Manager response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, Izzy. We are glad you enjoyed this cabin overall and we appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement. We will follow-up with our local team to assess the cookware for replacement, and we'll remove the expired spices. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

It rained the whole time but the cozy fireplace, huge windows with the beautiful river view, and hot tub made for a perfect weekend getaway

Great location and private setting for a winter weekend. Comfortable and cozy. Hot tub was fantastic. Plenty enough room for 4 guests and two dogs. The games were fun and we took advantage of the outdoor fire pit. Will definetly come back.

Fantastic house in a great location. Kitchen is amazing. Great layout. Nice yard. Everything worked well. Improvements I'd make: allow the hot tub to get hotter, have more kitchen stuff available - serving bowls, pans, etc., have seating at fire pit. Really, though, these are small issues in the context of a great place.

The view is amazing! We loved the location, the outdoor space and the large windows in the main living space. There were hornets around the hot tub which was a bit annoying, but manageable.
Manager response:
Thank you for your feedback. We will be sure to bring your comments about the hornets to the attention of the local staff and the owner. We appreciate your comments and helping us improve for our future guests.

My family and I loved this house for a short getaway in July. It was clean, nice, spacious and the location was excellent. We would come back again!

We enjoyed our stay in this home along the river. The first morning, we saw a bald eagle fishing just outside. The home is very clean and looks just as presented. Just a short drive to the state park where we spent 2 days hiking. Had a great time!
Cris O. Jun 2020
The home is spacious and had all the amenities I wanted to ring in my birthday. I highly suggest a quiet night in the hot tub with bountiful stars above and a rushing river a stones throw away.

Our first stay in Gold Bar, WA was delightful because of this lovely home. After a shaky start (locked out of the home with all our belongings inside!!) the river views calmed these weary travelers. Hot tub was fantastic to soothe achy hiking legs and feet. Convenient driving distance to amazing hikes and the quaint town of Leavenworth and more hiking. Local grocery stores and restaurants were easily accessed. Would stay again if there weren't so many other places we'd like to visits. Highly recommend.

Its cozy, very inviting, had every comfort of your home but with a beautiful river flowing in the back. And dont forget the hot tub! It was at perfect temp apon arrival as well as a very clean home. I would love to come back to this place again one day! I had an amazing time, thank you !

The downfall of this cabin was it was too cozy, too beautiful and perfectly homey. I had a work retreat with 4 colleagues and 3 dogs and this cabin was exactly what we needed. Dogs could explore the rocks/creek and the woodsy trail near the house. We cranked the fire to be extra warm, the kitchen was great for cooking and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend to anybody wanting a relaxing weekend with a great view of the river and mountains backdrop.

The house was lovely, clean, and comfortable. Great hot tub overlooking the river and mountain, nicely stocked kitchen, and quiet. But even though there was no one booked after us, there was a no late check out policy and we had to leave by 11am. It really cut our 3-day weekend short. When we booked we received the auto-reply that we would be notified if late check out or early check-in was available, so we went for that 4pm check-in and 11am check-out hoping we'd get more time, knowing it wasn't guaranteed, but that it was possible. When I got the email that neither option would be available, I called because I saw that no one was scheduled to arrive after us. I was told that the policy on this house was strict. And even if it had been available, we would have had to pay more to stay later (she didn't tell me how much). The experience dealing with the office felt very corporate and unbending. I will book with AirBnB from now on where there's a human on the other end who's willing to be flexible.

Location was right on the river

This home is so comfy! Tastefully decorated with high quality furnishings and a fully stocked kitchen. We swam in the river daily, can't beat the location. Excellent experience!
Lacee R. Jul 2019
We were in the area for work and didn’t have much downtime. What little we did was perfect! The hot tub overlooking the river was nice to relax in after a long day. The neighborhood is very quiet and the sound of the river outside was very peaceful. The highlight for us was the bounty of blueberries at perfect ripeness for picking. Blueberry pancakes were a breeze in the very well stocked kitchen.

This little cabin on the river is a perfect weekend getaway. The house is so close to a lot of popular highway 2 hikes as well. We were able to do a sunrise hike at 5am, get back in time to relax in the hot tub which was such a nice touch! We will be returning throughout the summer and will recommend to others as well.

This is a fabulous place to stay. It is located in a great spot with a view that puts you at peace the minute you look at it. The home is super clean and well equipped. Comfortable in every way. We will visit it again in the future for sure!

The river access and view are the main draws of this place. The fishing is great with hiking and outdoors very close. Nice family place with games and lots of streaming tv for background noise.

Our family of 4 stayed at Prospector's Bend. It was excellent. Very Clean, comfortable beds and pillows, all needed supplies, great views of the river. Thehot tub is on the back part of the huge wrap around deck looking out at the river. I really enjoyed reading about gold mining and my kids enjoyed looking at the artifacts from gold mining in the house. There's a great fire pit too. We would definitely stay there again
