Stylish, Riverfront, Dog-Friendly Cabin w/ Full Kitchen & WiFi!

Get away from it all at Timber Creek Cabin! Enjoy creature comforts in complete seclusion while exploring over three private riverfront acres without ever leaving the property. Extensive walking trails, a spacious deck and grill, a large firepit, a picturesque orchard, and an expansive riverfront lawn are all yours to enjoy. River, forest, and mountain views await you, making this a dream vacation spot you won't want to miss.

Stay cozy and warm at Timber Creek Cabin even through the stormy winter months! In the event that there is a storm and power goes out in the area, a high-powered generator comes on within one minute. You’ll never lose power, running water, or any other creature comforts during your stay, ensuring an uninterrupted getaway in the mountains.

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin has maintained its historic charm with original wood-beamed ceilings and an old stone fireplace, but it also has modern amenities like a new, fully equipped kitchen, modern and bright bathrooms, and laundry facilities. The cabin is nestled in the forest yet it offers convenient access for adventures and provides plenty of space for up to eight guests and two dogs to make wonderful memories together.

Downstairs is a cozy, open-plan living area that is ideal to enjoy on your own, with family, or with a group of friends. The living room is designed with comfortable and stylish seating around the fireplace, a dining area with picture windows out to the forest and river, and a full kitchen with four bar stools. Downstairs is a river-view bedroom with a king-size memory foam bed and a large bathroom that includes a front-loading washer and dryer. Upstairs are two more large bedrooms - one with a king-size mattress and the other with a queen-size mattress, and both with dormers facing the river and a shared bathroom. All three bedrooms have fluffy down duvets and touches that make each room unique.

Between the upstairs bedrooms is a relaxing sitting room with a large window seat - a great place to reflect and connect with gorgeous views of the river and the forest beyond. This seating converts into twin XL beds for additional sleeping space for two guests.

Designed with a slow pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy your stay no matter the time of year - making local pour-over coffee in the morning while watching for deer wandering by, choosing the perfect record as the sun sets, or relaxing by the river under a starry sky. Pick fruit in the orchard, build a snowman in the yard, dip your toes in the river, explore the extensive walking trails, photograph the gardens in a riot of springtime blooms, or simply sit back and enjoy the view.

What's nearby:
Beyond the charm of the cabin itself, what makes this inviting mountain escape truly special is its location. Set on 3.5 riverfront acres of gardens with walking trails and an orchard, the Timber Creek property has stunning, unobstructed views of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest across the river, allowing for complete privacy during your stay. When you want to venture out, Stevens Pass is a quick 25-minute drive, along with many other nearby outdoor pursuits. After an excellent day of skiing, boarding, sledding, or snowshoeing, you can return to the cabin for a homemade dinner, a roaring fire, and snow falling in the background. Take in the gorgeous autumn leaves and nearby antique stores, then head back and fall asleep to the sound of rain falling on the metal roof. In warmer months, enjoy epic mountain biking, endless miles of gorgeous hiking trails, thrilling rafting, or tranquil fishing, followed by dinner grilled out on the expansive deck and s’mores in the firepit.

Please note that because we are tucked into the valley through the pass, like almost all cabins in the area we do border Highway 2 and the historic train line. Road and train noise is apparent on the street side of the house, but in the house (thanks to new, insulated windows and river-facing bedrooms) and along the river side of the property, the white noise from the river washes most of it away beautifully. An upside is that this makes for easy access in the winter during snowy and rainy weather.

We felt surrounded by nature with the river rushing out the back door and the trails on the property to explore. The kids (5yo) were happy playing in trails, finding the rope swing, and playing with the kid friendly games of the cabin. The previous review regarding the noise of the train and the road were true but we found that after the first night we slept right through. One minor downside was that upon arriving there were dishes in the dishwasher and damp towels in the dryer so we had to spend time cleaning up remnants of anothers stay before we could use those amenities. Not a deal breaker for us given all the other attributes of this lovely home.
Manager response:
Kathleen, thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are happy to hear you had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed this home. We apologize for any noise disturbances the train caused. We are so sorry for the cleanliness issues you experienced. Please know this is not a common occurrence. We appreciate your feedback and hope to host you again soon.

This rental is amazing and is hands down the best rentals that we have stayed at. I loved being right on the river with gorgeous views of the mountains. The cabin is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Can’t wait to return!

I am so thankful that I found this place on Instagram! From the first conversation with Barbara and throughout the entire process, I felt so comfortable knowing we were going to be taken care of. She always replied promptly and you can tell she genuinely cares about each guest. Upon arrival, we jumped out of our cars and were instantly greeted with luscious greenery and the coziest cabin. I admire the fact it has been restored, but still has a rustic cabin vibe. The landscape made me feel that fairies live there. The cabin itself was so welcoming and extremely hard to leave. We loved it so much we already booked another trip in the winter! In my opinion, if you can’t see the magic in this place, then you don’t deserve to stay here.

This is a beautiful place, with trails, tire swing, riverfront, games, no TV, washer dryer, working kitchen with all the utensils, and way too comfortable beds. Unfortunately, on the last day of our week stay the water pressure turned to a trickle where we couldn't shower or wash dishes...there was enough to keep the toilets running and we finished our family gathering...I recommend this house for pleasure and pray the water issue is a minor one.... Until that time. . .
Manager response:
Hi, Richard! The water issue has been taken care of. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. Thank you!

Since I grew up in Seattle I am prejudiced but theses are the woods as they should be - the old rain soaked 15 colors of green I remember . The river is close , we found an agate and its BRISK upgraded trails with bridges sand wooden walkways next o the property mean you could go in the winter and still enjoy

The house is lovely and welcoming and the outside space is just unbelievable. It’s easily our favorite outside space from any rental property ever and we kept discovering new details until the moment we left. I truly can’t wait to stay again.

It was just gorgeous! Right on the river. It even had a she shed. Must look closely for entrance first time you get there. The bed was so good that I’m trying to find the same mattress for home, same with the pillows.

We had a great trip

This was the perfect getaway and the Vacasa staff was great.

The views from this beautifully furnished and very well stocked cabin are straight out of a movie set.
Our dogs enjoyed the trails on the property and my spouse had fun impersonating a cat by reading and napping and all the various nooks and crannies: hammock, riverside Adirondack chairs, sweet little meditation cottage, 2nd floor daybed and hanging chair. We had everything we could possibly need in terms of kitchen equipment including three ways to make coffee. The fireplace is a dream, do not forget kindling because you will not find any for sale up here! (The locals telling us firewood suggested we travel with a hatchet -might be a good idea!) Lots of trails to explore nearby and next time we might pop over to Leavenworth. We have stayed at this owner's coastal property and in comparison housekeeping here was a bit spotty.

Nice spot by the river . River is a bit too fast for comfort

We had the best time at Timber Creek Cabin. It was myself, my husband, our 1.5 year old and our little pup. It was our first vacation away with our son ever and it was SO perfect for us. The view from the house to the river is just gorgeous. The trails around the property were so cool - so much walking practice for our little guy. The train tracks across the road were actually a huge benefit because our kiddo was obsessed with them and he could see them from the front window. But it was never too loud in the house, which was great. The house itself was super nice and clean with extra comfy beds. We didn't leave the property once during our long weekend and it is so private we didn't see another soul! We will for sure be back!

I "met" Barbara through her Instagram account and knew right away it was going to be a great experience staying at her gorgeous home. Not only were the on-site trails just paradise for our pup who doesn't get to run off-leash much in the city, but she was the most helpful and accommodating host. There were treats for us and our dog when we arrived (so cute), we let her know the handle to the deck door was busted by a previous guest and she had someone out to take a look the next day, and overall answered all our questions and requests so promptly.
We staid upstairs in the "bear" room and the train noise was definitely present the first night and background noise by the second. It was heaven listening to the river all day and getting out of the city without having to really go that far at all.
We hope to be back in the spring or summer to check out more local hikes and attractions. Thank you so much!

Everything about this cabin is cozy and perfect! It really feels like a home away from home! We enjoyed the beautiful walking trails and landscaped property, the private river beach access and all of the many amenities that made this place special. It seems like they thought of everything and really put a lot of love and care into making it feel special. We can't wait to be back to enjoy the property in the Summer months!

We had such a great stay at Timber Creek! It was perfectly clean when we arrived and we were so happy to see all the amazing details of the cabin, which the owner had clearly put lots of thought into. The beds were so comfortable, and we were huge fans of the heated bathroom floors. The kitchen is fully stocked, and they had some great ceramic pieces that added wonderful warmth to the living space. The backyard is huge and we spent the sunset next to the river watching the colors change in the sky while staring at the snowy mountains. I can't wait to take my parents back to this cabin to show them how beautiful the PNW is.

Magical kids and dogs friendly riverside cabin, super cozy and clean! Great location and spectacular views! A lot of things to do on the property’s huge territory! Will miss this wonderful place !
Melissa T. Dec 2020
I loved everything about this cabin! The exterior and interior design was both cozy and clean/modern, and it had all the supplies, toiletries, and appliances we needed for our stay. The view from the back of the house is gorgeous, with the dining area looking directly out onto a wooded garden and flowing river. The house was spacious and had three separate bedrooms as well as a loft space with two twin beds, so it was perfect for our family and nobody had to share a room. The bathroom fixtures were modern, loved the rain shower head in the master bath! The biggest plus was that the cabin is dog friendly (though not allowed on furniture and beds, of course), and the owners were so accommodating of our pups, they even baked us homemade treats with their names on it!
Catherine C. Nov 2020
We love so many things about this house, but best of all are the views from the deck. Nature puts on an ever-changing show with the light, clouds, mist and shadows, and you have a front row seat for it all. Well equipped kitchen too.
Robert W. Oct 2020
First the cons. On our first night, my wife spilled some water on the kitchen floor. She used a paper towel to clean it up and the towel was very black after wiping up the floor. So, kitchen floor could probably use a steam cleaning. Lots of cobwebs through the house especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. The brochure in the home said all the tile floors were heated, except they did not work in the kitchen or the downstairs bathroom. Fireplace had at least 4 inches of ashes in it. Not sure what our cleaning fee paid for but it was not to clean out the fireplace. The ignition switch on the grill was broken so had to buy a fire starter to get the grill going. The bottom of the grill also needs to be cleaned out. Tire on the wheelbarrow was flat which made it difficult to carry your fire wood. Shade on patio door is missing and glass was not cleaned finger prints and smudges all over it. Broken Refrigerator door handle, broken patio handle, some dirty dishes and utensils, we could not find the iron, well, you get the point. Pros; Vacasa did send David, their handy man and he was able to fix many of the issues. Location, location, location. You can’t beat the location. The train and traffic noise did not bother us one bit. By the 3rd day, we were on autopilot and totally enjoyed our stay.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Robert! We are happy to hear you enjoyed Timber Creek Cabin and its incredible location. Thank you for sharing your feedback and for bringing items to our attention that needed some TLC.  Please know that our guest services team is available 24 hours a day to assist should any concerns arise during your visit, so they can be addressed right away.  As you mentioned, both door handles were fixed promptly during your stay.  The BBQ has been replaced with a brand new one, along with a new iron.  A deep cleaning for the property has been completed, and the housekeeping team has been made aware of things to look out for like cobwebs and checking on fireplace ash now that guests are using the fireplace more often for winter fires. Although firewood isn’t advertised as part of the listing, the homeowners like to provide it as a courtesy to guests, so we are glad you could enjoy some cozy fires.  We hope to host you again soon!
Yvonne A. Sep 2020
Full kitchen with mixer, pots, pans, serving dishes. Ready for winter with snow/ice grates at entrances (front entrance floor is kept heated). Beautiful private paths, firepit, and a sweet little Orchard where I picked blackberries for our breakfast. Wood shed supply was excellent and there were a few colored pinecones to make the fireplace enchanting (keep away from pets, the color is from chemicals/metals) We used Timber Creek as our sans masks break from society because we've been in them at work since March. This place is sanitized! When I re-sanitized after arriving, not even a spot of dirt came off the handrails. They are truly putting the extra effort forward on this. It needs some attention to cobwebs in corners and ceiling areas, but that's not a reason for giving up a chance to stay here again. We had 5 days (3 with 24 hour constant downpour of rain) so their board games and books were enjoyed. My son is an animator and was able to get some work done with the wifi provided. My computer was able to stream xfinity channels and Amazon Prime just fine, (there's no t.v. but there are some cool old records and a player) so we had a wine and scary movie night. Oddly, I couldn't get enough speed to read the NY Times online in the morning, but was able to access regular cable news. The upstairs bedroom with the bear- give it to the kids! The bed is beyond firm with a board covered by a couple of inches of padding. Not for adults. I found out the hard way because Auntie had the downstairs, son had the hammock room, and I slept on the "bay window" twin mattresses, because they are much better. Otherwise, the bear room was just as lovely as the rest of the house. We could easily have a dozen people for a family gathering at that location and still feel there was plenty of space, especially out of doors. Charming boulders shaped as seats with footrests face the river, and some benches, too. It has everything you'll need, and a few too many throw pillows. We will absolutely revisit Timber Creek. You will feel the positive and cozy energy of this place as soon as you enter. Only suggestions to Vacasa> measuring spoons, (I found the Pyrex measuring cup but not spoons) and please let janitorial maintenance/garbage pick-up know not to drop the outside pole on the entrance gate when people are inside. If there's an emergency, it would hinder their exit.
Manager response:
Hi, Yvonne! Thank you for telling us about your stay. We were able to find two sets of measuring spoons in the kitchen after receiving your review and apologize they were missed during your stay. We have asked garbage pick-up to please leave the gate the way they find it, and we have asked housekeeping to be mindful of any spiderwebs around the home. The property manager has turned up the freezer and will be checking the drawers. We hope to see you again!
Shane R. Sep 2020
The location was very peaceful, the house is beautiful. It was cool falling asleep with the river noise in the background. Even with the wildfire smoke, it was easy to admire the beauty of the Skykomish from the river's edge.

Now for the couple of key problems with the experience. I'm not normally picky, but when the cleaning fee amounts to almost an extra night's stay, my expectations go way up in terms of cleanliness. For the most part, everything was perfectly clean. We did notice a bit of dog hair on furniture and some that ended up in our dinner as well. Also, it was obvious the housekeeper didn't check the dishes while putting them back. Quite a few plates and cutlery had caked on food from previous use. Though for the most part, housekeeping did a very good job on a larger property.

Also, this may be a simple coincidence, but the water was shut off 5 minutes before checkout. That may not seem like much, but it made us feel very unwelcome; like a landlord kicking out a tenant. We understand that there needs to be plenty of time to clean and sanitize during a pandemic, but a simple warning would've helped. We were going to do a couple last-minute things like set the dishwasher, but couldn't since there was no water.

All in all, it was a very nice experience and would visit again, but just a couple things can be improved to make the experience flawless.
Manager response:
We appreciate your review, Shane, and are glad you enjoyed your stay despite some inconveniences. We have asked housekeeping to be more aware of pet hair and to check the dishes for cleanliness. We do not typically shut the water off between guests and are unsure what could have happened there. We apologize for any glitches with your visit and do hope to see you again. Thank you!
Cathy M. Sep 2020
The cabin is beautiful inside and out! The yard and riverfront access exceeded our expectations. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. Perfect for 3 couples. Consider bringing paper towels and ziplock/ Tupperware- both came in useful.
Rachel S. Aug 2020
Wonderful birthday getaway weekend. The provided hammock was the perfect touch. Lots of separate spaces throughout the property for people to get away for some tranquility. Ample room on the deck for everyone to gather together and eat. River was perfect for tying off our 8 person circular raft and spending some time enjoying nature. Trees provided perfect shade throughout the day for us to escape the over 90 degree temperatures.
Christie D. Aug 2020
From the moment I arrived at Timber Creek Cabin I felt the weight I’d been drowning in the past several months, submerged in the pandemic, disappear. It was a beautiful evening as we entered the house and saw for the first time the view of the Skykomish River that we’d have for the next 5 days. My place of peace is among trees with water present and that’s exactly what I found.

Little did I know at that moment the surprise I would find within the next 1/2 hour when I took a walk through the trees where I found an absolute sanctuary. Pathways through these grounds of huge trees of various kinds revealed an oasis of peace and beauty along with magnificent views of the rushing river.

We got settled into our rooms where we were able to view from the windows an ever expanding yard full of plants, fruit trees, beautiful bright red crocosmia plants along with other flowers.

In the course of my stay I soaked up the peace, tranquility and beauty of this amazing property visiting both the tree woodland and river side multiple times a day. I’d located my heaven on earth. My prayer is that one day, sooner rather than later, I’ll be able to return to where I was finally able to find the peace I’d been searching for, for many years.

Manager response:
Thank you, Christie, for such an amazing review of your stay at Timber Creek Cabin! It means so much to us that our cabin gave you so much tranquility during your stay during such difficult times. That is exactly what it does for our family and why we choose to share the cabin and its special surroundings with others like you. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, that it was so fulfilling, and we hope to host you again very soon.
Sheela L. Jul 2020
We loved everything about this amazing home and outside space. Especially that’s is so secluded, our family had such a wonderful time.
Jennifer L. Jul 2020
Everything about this home is lovely. The decor is thoughtful and intentional. The kitchen well equipped, the grounds magical. We will most certainly be back!
Natasha S. Jun 2020
This house is amazing! The property is so beautiful and it’s right on the river. This was a perfect getaway for my family.
Alyssa K. May 2020
The land is beautiful with amazing views. Very secluded and some small trails. The reason for 3 stars is because the house was not in the best condition. There were a lot of insects and spider webs in corners and the kitchen items/cookware were not the cleanest. However, countertops and toilets were clean so if that’s all you care about you will be very happy here. There were also a few things broken when we arrived such as the fridge handles and a drawer front that kept falling off in the kitchen. Fun time regardless, but improvements in the house would make this a 5 star location.
Manager response:
Hi Alyssa, thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us! We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement regarding some specific issues with the home. We will pass your feedback to our management team for future consideration. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!
priyanka s. May 2020
The experience was beyond exceptional. The deck was beautiful. We used the grill a lot. The beds were very comfortable and cozy. There were all the utensils and spice rack for cooking. They had board games too! Great location, great decor, thank you!
Shannon W. Mar 2020
Overall, we had a lovely time at the Timber Creek Cabin. I spent four days here with my husband and two year old son. We did a few awesome hikes nearby, relaxed and played games but the fire and made some great meals together. Perks: location is great, views are wonderful, great outdoor space and awesome wood burning stove. Only reason I am not giving five stars is there was quite a bit of dog hair everywhere (floors, chairs, couches, beds). Also no broom and poorly functioning vacuum which made it hard to clean up.
Manager response:
We are so glad that you and your family enjoyed your time at Timber Creek Cabin! We sincerely apologize that the dog hair from the previous guest was not cleaned up before your stay. The housekeeping team typically does an outstanding job, but apparently that got missed in the turnover process. There is a small broom and dust-pan in the kitchen, but we will re-stock the house with a new full sized broom and replace the vacuum. Thanks for letting us know and we hope to have you back very soon!
Susan C. Dec 2019
The sunrise on the mountain view was jaw-dropping, fresh snow at 2k'. Accomodations were excellent; well supplied (except for a broom). We'd come back again in a flash if we get the chance.
Hesper K. Dec 2019
The place was beautiful, quiet and perfect for a friend weekend away. The large table was wonderful for all the board games we played! My only side note is while there is plenty of room for 8 people comfortably, there is only 6 chairs for the dining room table. You can make do with use of the stools, but it’s not ideal.
It rained most of the weekend so we had beautiful dramatic views of the cloudy mountains out all the windows. We definitely loved staying here!
Manager response:
Thanks so much for your wonderful view of Timber Creek Cabin! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the cabin and the gorgeous scenery. Also, thank you for pointing that out about the dining table. That hadn’t occurred to us, so we are glad you brought it to our attention. We pulled two more of the dining chairs from storage, so the dining area now comfortably seats 8. Thanks for letting us know and we hope to welcome you back again soon!
Wathida I. Dec 2019
Unforgettable town!! This cabin is very nice and cozy. We had a wonderful trip at this place. The house is located on super stunning view by the river and mountain. Very recommended to stay in this house. We would love to come back to stay this place again.
L D. Oct 2019
Clean, all as said in description. Lovely view and an overall excellent stay!
Marisa O. Oct 2019
We had a group of 8 out at the cabin to celebrate my partner's birthday and it was the most perfect setting that we could have hoped for. We had seen the pictures and thought that it couldn't possibly be as beautiful in real life, but is! The kitchen is well appointed and we made great use of it. The back deck was great for lounging in the sun and looking at the river. There was plenty of space for us to hang out and play cards by the fire. The rooms were very big and the beds were comfy. The day beds were really convenient, but don't offer a lot of privacy, particularly for light sleepers. The trains do occasionally shake the house, though I was told that it wasn't as noticeable in the downstairs bedroom. Something to note if you have some light sleepers in your party. They do provide earplugs, though!
