Get away from it all at Timber Creek Cabin! Enjoy creature comforts in complete seclusion while exploring over three private riverfront acres without ever leaving the property. Extensive walking trails, a spacious deck and grill, a large firepit, a picturesque orchard, and an expansive riverfront lawn are all yours to enjoy. River, forest, and mountain views await you, making this a dream vacation spot you won't want to miss.
Stay cozy and warm at Timber Creek Cabin even through the stormy winter months! In the event that there is a storm and power goes out in the area, a high-powered generator comes on within one minute. You’ll never lose power, running water, or any other creature comforts during your stay, ensuring an uninterrupted getaway in the mountains.
This three-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin has maintained its historic charm with original wood-beamed ceilings and an old stone fireplace, but it also has modern amenities like a new, fully equipped kitchen, modern and bright bathrooms, and laundry facilities. The cabin is nestled in the forest yet it offers convenient access for adventures and provides plenty of space for up to eight guests and two dogs to make wonderful memories together.
Downstairs is a cozy, open-plan living area that is ideal to enjoy on your own, with family, or with a group of friends. The living room is designed with comfortable and stylish seating around the fireplace, a dining area with picture windows out to the forest and river, and a full kitchen with four bar stools. Downstairs is a river-view bedroom with a king-size memory foam bed and a large bathroom that includes a front-loading washer and dryer. Upstairs are two more large bedrooms - one with a king-size mattress and the other with a queen-size mattress, and both with dormers facing the river and a shared bathroom. All three bedrooms have fluffy down duvets and touches that make each room unique.
Between the upstairs bedrooms is a relaxing sitting room with a large window seat - a great place to reflect and connect with gorgeous views of the river and the forest beyond. This seating converts into twin XL beds for additional sleeping space for two guests.
Designed with a slow pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy your stay no matter the time of year - making local pour-over coffee in the morning while watching for deer wandering by, choosing the perfect record as the sun sets, or relaxing by the river under a starry sky. Pick fruit in the orchard, build a snowman in the yard, dip your toes in the river, explore the extensive walking trails, photograph the gardens in a riot of springtime blooms, or simply sit back and enjoy the view.
What's nearby:
Beyond the charm of the cabin itself, what makes this inviting mountain escape truly special is its location. Set on 3.5 riverfront acres of gardens with walking trails and an orchard, the Timber Creek property has stunning, unobstructed views of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest across the river, allowing for complete privacy during your stay. When you want to venture out, Stevens Pass is a quick 25-minute drive, along with many other nearby outdoor pursuits. After an excellent day of skiing, boarding, sledding, or snowshoeing, you can return to the cabin for a homemade dinner, a roaring fire, and snow falling in the background. Take in the gorgeous autumn leaves and nearby antique stores, then head back and fall asleep to the sound of rain falling on the metal roof. In warmer months, enjoy epic mountain biking, endless miles of gorgeous hiking trails, thrilling rafting, or tranquil fishing, followed by dinner grilled out on the expansive deck and s’mores in the firepit.
Please note that because we are tucked into the valley through the pass, like almost all cabins in the area we do border Highway 2 and the historic train line. Road and train noise is apparent on the street side of the house, but in the house (thanks to new, insulated windows and river-facing bedrooms) and along the river side of the property, the white noise from the river washes most of it away beautifully. An upside is that this makes for easy access in the winter during snowy and rainy weather.
