VACASA property management is not good. This used to be a beautiful place to stay. We stayed here 4 and 5 years ago and because we had such a great experience, we decided to book again this year. As it turns out this was a mistake. This property used to be run by Wyndham and it was perfect. Now it has been taken over by Vacasa and it’s a mess. Upon arrival, we noticed that the elevator lobby was missing the luggage carts to load up our stuff and take it to the condo. This left us with 5 heavy trips in the dirty elevator to get all of our gear upstairs. Once in the condo, we noticed that the walls were all beat up and dirty. Then the furniture, looked like it was 50 years old. The whole place was just torn up and was a remnant of what it used to be. We covered the dirty couch with a sheet. I proceeded to call Vacasa and let them know about the issues we were having. Just go the run around for the most part. They said they would create a case and someone would call in the morning and to “enjoy the rest of our stay”. I contacted them in the middle of the night since the bed was so bad and so worn out, I was not able to sleep that night. Ended up falling asleep around 3 am on the couch. Again, “enjoy the rest of our stay”. During the night I also found that 2 of the ceiling lights were burnt out and we could not control the ceiling fan in the living room. The next morning I called back and spoke to someone who told me that the local manager would be calling me to fix the issues. I sent them an email with all the photos of the damage and the video of the flickering lights. I did hear from that person and told her the issues we were having and she offered to let us look at another unit in the building. We did go look and to our disbelief, it was much worse than the unit we were already in! including mold on the kitchen walls. We told her that we would stay where we were at, but wanted compensation for the room. She offered to bring out a mattress topper for the bed and she did. This did little to help since it was so worn out. Had to put three pillows between the mattress and box springs to make it better. The burned-out lights were not addressed, however. We were given the cleaning fee back and that was it. (Note: I think the cleaning crew did the best they could with what they had to work with.) This was an expensive place to stay and not worth the money. We will not be back and I would not recommend that anyone stay here. Other issues: Water and ice on fridge door not working. No toaster in the kitchen, and only a few dishes to use. The dish drainer was missing the tray for the bottom of it. No pad on the ironing board. The silverware was way oversized and we could not find a normal size spoon. Sad to say, the list goes on.

We absolutely loved the open layout of this condo. It has plenty of room in the kitchen and living room areas. Wonderful views and privacy being on the corner of the building with a lot of big windows. The only thing we didn’t like was not having smart TVs and not having a king size bed. Everything else was perfect. We would definitely come back here again.

We loved the condo. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. The condo is much larger in person. The road was a little tricky when we first got there but after that we had no issues. We will definitely stay again!

Well we stay at the lodge and was very pleased last year, but this time around we were not. The refrigerator ice maker didn't work for water. Only one small kettle pot for cooking. No can opener. Someone left child undergarments in bedroom drawer. We put in bag and left in closet. Alot of hair in master bathroom floor and on white towels. Our ceiling fan and light would automatic come on when we wasn't even bothering it. Just all dispointing. Wasn't happy at all.

It was nice and clean the beds slept great just need to fix the dishwasher there’s no water going to it and the fridge water does not work but the ice maker does work that’s the only issue we had

The condo was beautiful as was the view! The road to the condo is an adventure, ended up using Uber as we were drinking and didn’t want to chance the winding road at night. Definitely worth the fees! Will be back!!!

The condo was clean and comfy, however the exterior lighting on the building was not on and we arrived after dark. The parking garage area was pitch black as well as the walkway lighting. When the elevator door opened it looked like you were walking into a dark basement. Thankful we had flashlights. A quick tip, if you stay in room 136 it’s the third floor. If you stay in 155 it’s the fifth floor etc! Once inside the condo we enjoyed our stay.

Beautifully decorated but has roaches; poorly maintained - only one out 3 tv's worked, tv repairman could not fix one in master BR, dishes in dishwasher covered with roaches, garage disposal drain stopped up. This was relocation property. First one a cabin had not been cleaned and no signage. Had terrible time finding it. Would not recommend VRBO or Vacasa for rentals in Smoky Mts.
Need someone to follow cleaning service to make sure everything works.

Our Thanksgiving stay in 136 was perfect! Everything was clean and tidy upon our arrival, the covered parking was great, and there was an elevator for use as my mother cannot do steps very well. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Very convenient location as we were in town for a sports event at Rocky Top Sports World, it's close to the heart of Gatlinburg and there was a grocery store just around the corner! All in all it was a perfect get away!!!

Very spacious and clean. The kitchen is huge and equipped.I brought my own cookware only to find out I really didn’t need it, they had everything I needed there to cook. We could of used more toilet paper ( had only one extra in each bathroom ) we had to purchase more. The carpets in the bedroom could use a shampoo and some fresh paint but over all it was quiet with a beautiful views of the mountains.

Condo itself was very good . Finding it was a bit of a challenge and be aware that the road is very winding the entire way. I was afraid to attempt it in the dark so made sure we had early dinners!

Place was very big and clean. Views were wonderful and in a very secluded place away from
all the hustle and noise. TV’s, washer/dryer worked. Kitchen had everything and everything worked. Water pressure was great. Hot water warmed up quickly and we never went without. A few things that I would suggest would be deadbolts on the front and patio doors (for children’s safety), sweep under the couch (I found lots of crumbs, chips etc) and bring extra towels and toilet paper. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

My stay here was pleasant. We had to wait past our check in time by almost 45 minutes due to house keeping not yet being finished with their cleaning but otherwise this place was clean and made for a great stay. I hope to return soon.

It was very clean, end unit 136 with scenic views. Had every item in the kitchen needed, plates, cups, paper towels, coffee maker/filters etc then, extra toilet paper and towels in each bathroom. Washer and dryer worked perfectly. TV in each room and living room. Had a DVD player so we could play movies. One elevator to access five floors was enough as we hardly had to wait since only about 6 units per floor. Quiet and cozy. Thank you for a great stay.

Location was good... right near our favorite restaurant Alamo. After getting turned around in the dark, we found the place. The condo was very spacious and the mountain view in the mornings, with coffee was amazing. Would book again

This is our second stay at the location. We enjoyed no contact with staff during this pandemic, quitness that hotels don't offer, beautiful furnishings, spacious and clean living quarters and the short distance to the main Gatliburg strip.

View from the condo was excellent, weather did obscure it some but was okay. Condo was clean, well maintained. Did need some more dishwashing pods and a bottle of cleaner for the kitchen but we cooked every night, not the norm for most folks. Also got to see bears three nights trying to destroy the dumpster.

Only warning I would give is try and arrive when it's still daylight, the road in is very steep and winding with some sharp turns. Was a challenge at night in the rain the first night.

We enjoyed our stay at Venus Lodge. The location is ideal if you want to get away from the crowds in and near downtown Gatlinburg. It's a little climb into the foothills with a few snarly turns, but nothing too bad and relatively easy to find. The condo had it's pros and cons as I've outlined below.
Pros:
- Nice location
- Open concept floor plan with a nice kitchen (well equipped), spacious master bedroom and bath, along with good size guest room and bath
- End unit with lots of natural light located on the third floor
- Laminate floor in the main living area
- Balcony with seating for two
- Great views of the Smokey Mountains
- Natural wild life - we saw a turkey and her four chicks, deer and a black bear. We think the near was around because of garbage outside of the dumpster. Major no-no. Garbage can't be left out
- Sitting outside on the balcony is pretty peaceful, unless there are others out and talking loud--voices will echo
- Provided paper towel, toilet paper, dish and dishwasher soap, and laundry soap--enough to get you started
- Parking under the building

Cons:
- The unit was not as clean as expected. Bed linens and towels were clean, but the bed top covers were stained and need to be replaced. The floor turned our white socks black, so we had to keep our shoes on (which we don't normally do). The bedroom carpets need to be replaced. I had to wipe down the outside furniture.
- The elevator works poorly--door does not want to close. We used the stairs. In great need of repair
- I believe there was sufficient parking spaces for one car per unit and would have liked to see them assigned. It was first come first serve
- There is no hair dryer and the iron needs to be replaced

No is no rental that is perfect and we made the few issues work. It's a small building, but there was plenty of activity with guests flowing in and out all week. Busier as the weekend approached, of course.

This was a beautiful spot to stay and very peaceful. It was not far from town. When we arrived at 8 pm., there were no lights on in the parking lot or in the outside hallways. We called the 24 hr. line and they were on within an hour. Everyone was very helpful that I spoke with. I would stay here again

The condo is great. Comfortable furniture, great view. Cleanliness could be improved especially with the hefty fee that is charged when you book the unit. The elevator did not function properly the whole weekend. We used the stairs.
