This would have been a five star review except for a broken window in the sun room and poor lighting at the rear entrance.
The appliances worked but were pretty dated. All that said, this is a wonderful space and the view is outstanding!

Clean house with amazing views and a well appointed kitchen…
Lisa W. Aug 2021
We loved our stay here by the Pacific. The views were marvelous and the big space was ideal for our family. We had enough room for ten of us from 3 families to have a bit of privacy here and there throughout there week. The kitchen was a wonderful spot to cook and gather. We walked along the ocean each day in the morning.

It’s not as accessible as we might have liked for my mom who walks with a cane. There are lots of stairs which we navigated well. It’s also a bit tricky getting down to the beach for her so we drove a bit down the road to have her experience the ocean.

We really enjoyed our stay and had time to do lots of fun things! Tide pools and big redwoods are all close by as well as beautiful seascapes and lighthouses. Thanks :)

I don’t think it was necessarily worth the price we paid for two nights but it has a beautiful view and was easy to find/check-in to.
Manager response:
We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We will be sure to pass your suggestions along to our local manager who will work with our homeowner to make necessary upgrades. We look forward to hosting you again!

The house is mid-century gem. Huge space, great beds, kitchen has everything and more that you would want. I'd recommend checking in before hitting the grocery store for staples, as there may be some things you won't need to purchase (spices, syrup etc.) if you plan on cooking. Quiet neighborhood, limited road noise, would definitely stay again. Few quirks with an older house (outlets that don't work, blinds that take some finagling, but those were minor issues).

Beautiful view! Spacious, fully equipped, and comfortable living space. Absolutely clean. Responsive and efficient customer service. Thank you for your good work!

Such an amazing view of the ocean in this house. 2 nights was definitely not long enough to enjoy this place
Darcel L. Apr 2021
We really really looking forward to this vacation. Unfortunately, this home was a big let down. Sugar ants all over the house; the thermostat does not work (and should be updated I might add); the windows are very dirty (you can’t take pictures of the ocean through the windows because of the dirt); and the home is very dusty and has cobwebs everywhere. Would not book this home again.
Manager response:
Hello Darcel,We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness concerns you encountered during your stay with us. Our team of housekeepers takes pride in their cleanliness standards, as it is a top priority service we provide for every guest prior to check-in. We are disappointed to see that this concern was not reported to us during your stay as we would have been happy to assist. We have passed your feedback along to our housekeeping staff so they are aware of your concerns. We hope to have the opportunity to impress you in the future!

The home was extremely beautiful and spacious. Just a walk over the street and your at the beach already. Downside was the lack of hot water but besides that, this was a great beach house to stay in.

Couldn’t beat the location. Lots of space.
Adam G. Dec 2020
We enjoyed everything about our stay. Amazing ocean views were by far the highlight. Sunset views from the kitchen. Large high ceiling living room with comfy couches was great for book reading and relaxing. Don't miss the redwood hike at Stout Grove!

Older home, but still had a beauty to it and the views were amazing
angela k. Nov 2020
We loved the epic views of the ocean from master bedroom, living room and kitchen. Tidepooling, agate hunting and surfing were an added bonus!
Mark T. Jul 2020
We loved being so close to the ocean and things to do elsewhere, the home is roomy and fun things available-bikes, surf boards etc, we did notice not enough hot water and a few windows had screws falling out or very loose when opening and closing them, but we would certainly do this again at the same home 😊
Manager response:
Hi, Mark! We are so glad you enjoyed the location of this home. The owner will address your maintenance concerns during their fall visit. Thank you!

Great vacation, locals are really friendly. So many activities could not enjoy all, so will definitely be back again. Thompson/Ward family vacation 6/28-7/1 2020

Older beautiful home in great location. Beach access and gorgeous views.

My family and I had such a good time there. We are talking about going every year and making it a tradition. The house is very large and so accommodating to your needs. The house was nice and clean and the property management lady was easy to deal with. The only issue we had was the hot water didn't last very long and we had to space out our showers, but overall a wonderful place to stay!!
. Oct 2019
Very nice and comfortable with beautiful views of the ocean.

We had an amazing vacation in Crescent City. The house was wonderful, very comfortable. The weather was great. We could not ask for a better time.
. Sep 2019
it was a great weekend and the home was real nice and the view was great
. Aug 2019
This was an epic way to spend our time at the beach. The house was beautiful, spacious, but still cozy and comfortable. The house is ready for a Groton friends, a family or any occasion. Thought has been given to whether you want to hang out at the house in the huge sun room or explore with bikes provided. Really a great property!
. Jul 2019
The rental property was an excellent home with an excellent view and a fantastic location. There is lots of space to play game, watch TV, ply pool, or enjoy the view from the sun room. The dining area is large enough to handle a large group. We had a number of children, so having a nice laundry room was a plus. Having the beach across the street was great for being able to play in the ocean and go for walks, only down side was having to walk about 100 yards down the road to get on the beach. Crescent City was a convenient location for accessing Southern Oregon and Northern CA beaches and Redwoods. I would recommend this property.
. Jul 2019
Our first trip to the Redwood Coast exceeded our expectations, largely because of this awesome home we rented for the week. The design was open, spacious and the center great room was excellent for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to cook, bake and eat every meal at home. The view and sounds of the ocean were amazing and will be sorely missed. The pool table was especially a hit with the family. The easy 'walk across Pebble Beach road' access to the beach was perfect. We did nothing but enjoy the beaches and the neighboring Redwood forests. If you want a relaxing, accessible, peaceful, and large place to enjoy a family vacation, you won't be disappointed with Crown of the Coast. We would definitely return again should we have the opportunity.
. Jun 2019
Had a great long weekend riding motorcycles on the Southern Oregon coast. The house was clean, nice. highly recommend this place for large families, or group of people. a lot of room. beautiful views.
. Jun 2019
We really enjoyed this property. Was perfect for our vacation with my mother, my two brothers and their families. The house is gorgeous and well laid out and provided for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay that the families were commenting on our way home. This stretch of coast is beautiful - especially with the rock formations just off the coast. There is a beach within a short walk and a tide pool just down the way that is an awesome experience at low tide. The weather here was a bit cooler than we expected (and more cloudy as a norm), but enough sunny days to make good use of the beach.
. May 2019
We just love this place and its atmosphere, open floor plan and easy access to the open. We bring our boat over every year to fish and its the perfect location to get right to the harbor and go fishing. cannot wait to visit the this awesome place again called 'The Crown Of The Coast'.
. May 2019
The house has all the amenities a cooks needs to feed the guests. It has a well stocked kitchen. I didnt miss the spices or condiments I had forgotten. It rained while we were there but because of the view, I felt we had fully experienced a beach front experience. The beach isn't great for kids, full of wood and debris with little sand to enjoy the surf. It's easier to walk on the road then the sand because of it. House has two levels and the kids had a wonderful time downstairs while the adults enjoyed upstairs. Great layout and room for everyone!
. Feb 2019
everything was just perfect! we loved our stay. It was so fun to bike to town and take in to awesome views. The house is lovely with small and large touches that make this house a great value.
. Jan 2019
For years we have used VRBO to rent homes for our vacation. This particular home I would have to say was the best so far. We had four family's in the course of a 4 days stay and it was spectacular. We all had our own bedrooms as well as bathroom accommodations. The steam room was used everyday by everyone and the pool table was a nice feature as well. The other accommodations included plenty of yoga equipment, bikes to ride and boards to surf. The whole week was some of the best weather in such a early part of the season and we truly enjoyed the day room with great visibility of the ocean and all the crab boats hard at work. I think the best part of our stay was not have but one TV in the house which was located downstairs, pretty much very little TV and more human and family connection. When family wanted to disconnect their was plenty of room to disappear and enjoy some time alone. We will defiantly be renting this fabulous home in the future called ' The Crown Of The Coast '
. Jan 2019
The ocean view is wonderful. Beautiful home with all the amenities you'll need. Beds were so comfortable! A larger dining table with more seating, would be nice. The room with the bunk bed, twin futon and daybed has it's own bathroom - parents with small children might want to know that ahead of time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
. Dec 2018
We rented this place during the recent winter break. Had a wonderful time. The house has excellent amenities and the view of the ocean was stunning.
We also enjoyed the Sauna and the pool table.
The management was also extremely helpful.
I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Crescent city area. It truly is the Crown of the Coast!
. Dec 2018
This place is amazing, the pictures don't do it justice! If you are staying in Crescent City, this is the place to stay, we all loved it.
. Nov 2018
We rented this place as a special gathering for family for stuffing day and it couldnt have been more memorable. Right as the turkey was on its last few minutes and the rest of the food mostly done with cook time just needing heat (except gravy) the wind and rain knocked the power out, we got out the BBQ and heated the rest on the fire and bbq, started to make the gravy on the BBQ, (quite a trick) all of a sudden the clouds cleared the power came back and we finished the gravy. The sun came out and we met our goal for dinner time on the spot. AMAZING!!! We ate with a view of the ocean right out on the sun months to deck... Ages of the party ranged from 7mth to 94 years and EVERYONE was happy!
. Oct 2018
I rented the Crown on the Coast for a business trip to Cresent City with 1 other person. The house was great and the location even better! Very well equipped kitchen, nice grill, and good amenities for bedding and linens.
Description is accurate and would not hesitate to stay in the house again.
. Oct 2018
I visited Crown of the Coast with a group of 8 friends in mid-October. Both the house and its surroundings are incredible - I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious retreat in a beautiful part of the country!

The house itself was beautiful, modern, and comfortable - the highlight being the two-story, floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on the ocean. We were a large group, but ate and socialized comfortably in the kitchen and living room. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, and the bedding was really comfortable! I also liked how the bedrooms/bathrooms were spread out to give each guest maximum privacy. (Though I did notice some noise from passing cars in the bedroom closest to the road.) We also made excellent use of the sauna with eucalyptus oil steam bath: much needed after a quick dip in the cold Pacific ocean!

The best part of our trip, though, was the amazing access to outdoors. The house itself is right on the ocean, you can walk or jog along the coast for miles in either direction. We were also less than 15 minutes drive from old-growth forests with more redwoods than I've ever seen in one place. It was also the peak of fall, and the woods had brilliant flashes of yellow and red. We drove through the woods along paved and then gravel roads, and explored a number of trails and hikes (which were all mostly empty and very peaceful). A highlight was driving down to the Klamath river and seeing a large family of seals playing in the water just 30 feet away! We didn't time the salmon migration quite right, but apparently you can see the fish jumping out of the water at certain times of year.

A word of caution: there's not much of a downtown in terms of activities/restaurants, and it's not San Francisco or Portland - don't expect your avocado toast or almond lattes! Next time we'll probably cook ourselves and enjoy breakfasts/dinners in the house. We did have a great meal at

We took the place for 2 nights for 3 families with small kids and had a great time in there. The amenities are excellent, as new, and the apartment was clean. The parents and kids were very impressed with this luxury home. It has a great view and lots of space.
