I booked this home for a couple nights with one of my best friends for a trip to Eureka. It was perfect! It had everything we needed. The owners also moved the kayaks into the garage so they were much easier to take out. I think it's important to mention that based on prior reviews. The only thing that would have been nice was black out curtains in the bedrooms. Everything else was fabulous. Loved the gas range and washer and dryer! Very peaceful area outside of town (but still close to it). Would 100% stay there again and recommend the property to others. 😀

Excellent location, great back deck, amazing bird watching.

Nice and quiet location along the water. The cottage had all the essentials for a peaceful getaway. Pets are allowed, but the cleaning was excellent as my allergies didn’t flair up-I’m allergic to cats and dogs, but I didn’t see that pets were allowed until after I booked. The cottage is five miles from the Eureka downtown area and at least an hour drive to the state and National redwood parks; it’s doable but just be aware of the few extra miles on hwy 101. Only complaint is the regular size frig was in the garage and it took awhile for it to cool down for our groceries. There’s a bar frig in the kitchen. A couple of extra blankets would be nice as well as Eureka was surprisingly cool in the June mornings. We didn’t use the bikes -had out eon- and the kayaks, but they had bike helmets and life jackets available for those interested. Otherwise, we had a terrific stay and would consider rebooking when we are in the area again. Thank you!

This our 2nd time renting Allegra’s cottage and we love the location on the South Bay. We brought our dog this time and there is a off leash walking area and beach down the street.
the cottage is cute, clean and cozy. We will be back!

The house was very clean and well equipped. The location was amazing. Being able to kayak from your own dock and walk to the beach was perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer.

From the outside, you might not guess that this house is sleek, spacious and everything a small family and their dogs need to feel at home. I loved the hardwood floors and remodeled white kitchen. Wish I had gone kayaking (yes, they have two kayaks and bikes!) ... but I hope to do that on my next visit here!

The home was cozy and clean, and the beds were very comfortable.
What really impressed me was how well stocked the kitchen was stocked with spices, pans, even zip locks but most importantly sharp knives!
Because of Covid we were very mindful to bring our own food to cook all of our meals. I always bring my own knife, but was pleasantly surprised by the sharp knives available. This was a first.
We made use of the kayaks in the canal and bay, remember to check tides as they shift significantly in this area. The kayak launch made using the canals very friendly.
We stargazed on the deck and wished there was a fire pit as neighbors across the way had a raging fire every night we were there. That was the only thing we wished we had.
Planning on booking this place again as it gave us a great starting point for several nearby hiking trails.
Gills by the bay is a short walk and has great breakfast!

We loveed the location of this remodeled house. It had a great deck to enjoy the canal and a dock for access with kayaks. We were very comfortable and it was cozy and clean. We hope to come back here next May to enjoy the Rhododendrons bloom.

This cute cottage is located just a 5 minute walk from a quiet beach on the bay. It has it's own private dock and deck on the canal for a great place to kick back and enjoy a good book. Just a 15 minute drive to some great restaurants. Far enough for peace and quiet, but close enough for easy coffee runs. Loved the kayaks, and the kayak launch was super handy!

We rented this little cottage for three nights when our larger vacation had been cancelled. From the minute we opened the front door we knew we would be very comfortable her. It was light and airy, perfectly clean and nicely appointed. They thought of every comfort one would want. The beds were super comfortable and except for a party one night across the water (ended at a reasonable time) it was quiet. Everything we had hoped for. We will return.

This cottage was clean and gorgeous. Everything has been redone and is new and fresh. Cute decor, which is huge for me. Clean and comfy beds and every little convenience you need :) I wish we could have brought our dog because they even have a dog bed for your fur baby!!! The only thing I missed is they didn’t leave enough coffee, but we bought some to make in the mornings so it wasn’t too important. Some plastic cups and plates would be nice since their plates were glass and very breakable if you aren’t careful.
Beautiful view ; very quiet and peaceful overall. Would love to go back sometime:))))

Amazing little cottage with plenty of room to relax. The beds/pillows/linen were so comfortable. Amazing deck over looking a canal and a super short walk to the beach. The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend staying here and I know I will be back.
