Well equipped, very clean, good WiFi. As others have mentioned, bring your own food (don't forget coffee) as there are very limited options nearby.

We loved this place. It’s away from other places but not scarily so, in a lovely wooded area high on a hill. Comfortable, not fancy but with everything we needed, good beds, well equipped kitchen, reliable WiFi. The road up is dirt and gravel, pretty much one lane, but we never met another vehicle going up and down, and it’s no worse than some of the redwoods state park roads (e.g., Howland Hill in Jedediah Smith). It’s convenient to several magnificent parks, including the Humboldt Lagoons. Little to no dining out in Orick (depending on season), so plan to eat in unless you’re willing to drive the PCH and cabin road from Trinidad at night. Hope to come back here sometime.

this cabin is located in middle of Greenwoods, surrounded by Nature and
isolated from World. we do not need to look around for Eden. our eye is in
THE GREEN, our ear is full of THE NATURE and our mouth have to say “AHH “. this cabin make us a healings.

This is in an ideal location for touring Redwood parks. My brother and I used it as a base camp for several days of hiking. The cabin is very nice inside and quiet - the only noise was the faint call of sea lions in the distance. It is very well equipped and included a single laundry tab and a single dishwasher tab. I would recommend bringing a few of your own just in case. You should also bring bath soap and shampoo as the hotel size provided is pretty small. Someone else noted the coffee maker is a Melitta/cone style. There was an open box in the cupboard but bring your own #4 filters and favorite ground coffee. Plenty of plates, cups, glasses and silverware. There are sufficient cooking pots and pans (and a colander) to make just about anything. We did not try the grill outside but noted there was a spare propane tank on the deck. There is also a set of BBQ tools in a case in the cupboard. Bring your own food!!! There are basically no options to eat anywhere within 10-15 miles. Besides, you will not want to leave the peacefulness anyway. The fireplace works well but you may want to read up on how to use a freestanding wood stove. Opening the door a bit where the ashes fall will create enough updraft to turn the inside into a blast furnace.
Two drawbacks. Although there are plenty of light fixtures throughout, the fluorescent lights in the kitchen are too dim to be useful. The under cabinet lights help but you may want to bring a headlamp. Secondly the water pressure is pretty low. No problem with hot water but showers are going to be a rinse and dry affair. Strangely, the shower head “screams” and you can actually hear the pulse as the pressure goes up and down.

We loved our stay at the stylish cabin. It was quiet, secluded and so peaceful.

The setting for this cabin is secluded and extremely peaceful. There are plenty of seating options in the front and on the deck to enjoy the trees and serenity. The inside of the cabin was even more adorable and inviting than the pictures showed! Everything was neat and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay and would definitely recommend!!

The house met our needs. It was neatly decorated and supplied well with towels. The fireplace was an neat addition but lacked kindling that wasn’t wet to aid in starting the fire. Be prepared to bring your own kindling and fire starting supplies. The lighters in house was out of fluid. Also, it is very secluded which is great. Highly recommend for out of towners to rent a SUV. Low clearance cars are not ideal. The address will take you to the end of the drive. When arriving at night the turn for the drive is on the inside of an outside cure. It’s hard to see with headlights. Recommend the owner to place reflectors on the downhill side of the drive.
Access to the home was simple. The stay was uneventful and close to the Redwoods, the purpose of our visit.

If you want to spend a week viewing the Northern California Coast or Redwoods, the location of this cabin is difficult to beat. It is stylish and has all the amenities that one would need. The small town of Orick nearby has minimal food choices, but there is more options about 20 miles south. During our stay there was only one issue: the hot water heater repeatedly went out. It is a simple fix, only requiring one to turn off and on the "on demand" hot water heater. The problem is that accessing the hot water heater is more cumbersome. It requires one to go beneath the house via an entrance on the side of the house. The area beneath the house is tall enough to stand in, and the entire process is fairly simple and takes only 5 minutes, but doing so frequently is annoying (6 times in a week), especially because it always happened at night. This task could be more difficult for someone with mobility issues. The first time it happened the maintenance people came quickly to the house to reset it and show me how to do it should it happen again. It's apparent that they know that it is an issue, and supposedly it will soon be fixed. But I think it is something worth knowing about and perhaps looking into it before booking the house.

We enjoyed our stay. Host was very communicative and informed us about a planned power outage before we arrived, which was quite helpful. The house is spacious, comfortable, and very secluded.

I loved the seclusion of the cabin. Beautiful flowers growing at the entrance. I loved the balconies off the bedrooms. nice walk down the lane to a cozy place to drink your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

Great location, very nice space - best option in the area, would definitely stay again.

This was a great home, centrally located in the Redwoods National Park area for easy access to trails. The home sits high up on a hill in a very secluded spot, just outside Orick. Not much in Orick so dining options are down in Trinidad, about 30 minutes away. But stocked with food to eat in, this is a superb location. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Phone and WiFi service was also quite good compared to other parts of the Redwoods area.

Simple, comfortable, and conveniently located. Management very attentive and kind. Thanks for a wonderful family vacation!

We LOVED our two-day stay at this adorable, remote cottage. It was incredibly peaceful, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and central for explorations of the surrounding region. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! I'd re-book in a heartbeat.

This cottage was a perfect getaway for our family. It is secluded but close to great hiking in the redwoods and to a nice beach. The space has plenty of room to hangout and was very clean and well equipped.

It was a great cabin. Despite getting a flat on the last quarter miles of the gravel road, we were very pleased with the cabin itself. Everything was in working order. It took a while to get the cabin warm the first night, but it got there. We had fires in the wood stove on the other nights and it was great.
Quirks - um, seriously, the oven can't be opened without flickering the lights. And it took us a while to figure out how to operate the oven, which is an RV oven, not a standard house oven. That being said, it worked just fine, once we figured it out. Same awkwardness with the fridge and garbage. If you open the freezer door all the way, it knocks the garbage can over.
Despite the quirks, we loved the location. My kids explored the surrounding area and found a meadow with a couple of horses nearby. We went for long hikes the redwoods every day we were there - Trillium Falls, Skunk Cabbage, and Lady Bird Johnson Grove are all excellent.
The town is very small and seems to have been particularly impacted by the past year. The one store was rather sketchy and none of the restaurants were open on the days we were there, which was unfortunate, as we were planning to do take out at some point. Luckily we had plenty of food and were all set.

5 stars for location in proximity to Redwoods & Ocean
5 stars for privacy
3 stars for house
The kitchen only has very tired teflon pans so if that matters to you and you're able to bring your own, worth a consideration!
Thank you for your feedback, Alexis. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the kitchen supplies. We have passed this info along to our local management team. They will make updates to the kitchen supplies as soon as possible. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was wonderful to be surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the forest Quiet, private, clean and comfortable. We even had a morning visit from a group of stunning elk. Definitely happy with our decision to stay here.

seclusion from main city noise, ease of finding this place.

Such a charming clean and updated modern place. Very clean and great instructions in accessing the home.Would highly recommend again
This house is spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed its location, extremely close to the beautiful coastline and stunning Redwoods. The location of the house is tucked away and we found it to be very peaceful and quiet. Overall the house is well equipped and the management company were excellent when we contacted them regarding a very minor issue. It was rectified within an hour of being reported which is really fantastic service. We saw lots of Elk just down the road, some were the closest we've ever seen. We loved walking some of the nearby trails and then coming back to the house and enjoying the log burner.
My wife and I needed a relaxing vacation with little traffic and not much to do in between her job change. We found exactly that with our stay! Thanks for the great service. Everything was exactly as described.
Loved our stay saw lots of Elk in town, and is close to a lot of redwood trails. Fire pit was ready to go when we arrived. Thank you
The property was as expected, and met our needs as a home base for exploring the region. The town of Orick itself was a bit sketchy, but this cabin is located in the wilderness and is totally insulated in a lovely forest setting. (We had some deer visiting one evening!) The exterior security cameras were visible, and actually a source of reassurance.
The house was clean and well appointed. The door handle was problematic and needs to be fixed, but we were able to make it work for the time we were there. The house was as pictured.
I had never used AirBnB before and was a bit nervous. This experience was very positive and I will definitely use the service again. Thanks!
Wonderful Home. Extremely clean and modern. Beautiful grounds and great location for seeing all the redwoods and state parks in the area. Wood stove was nice as it was late October so fire was cozy. (there was regular heat as well if needed). No problems whatsoever. We arrived at night so tight, dark dirt road up to house was very exciting! I think the turn to the driveway is more like .6 miles from fork, directions said 1.5 but it was easy to find. Great place and the app for the phone from the rental company was also very nice.
We stayed at the Stylish Cabin during our first trip to the Redwoods. It was a perfect central location to hit all the Redwood sights. Our family of four loved the cabin and were very much at home for our week stay. It has been wonderfully updated and full of great amenities such as new appliances, big screen TV with Roku, WiFi, and packed full of games for fun family game nights. The fire place added to the cabin feel. We would highly recommend this cabin for everyone wanting the perfect getaway in one of our country's most beautiful National Parks. Thank you!!
We stayed for four nights at the cabin and it was better than advertised. Amazing location on the very edge of the national park and just a few minutes from the Lady Bird Johnson, Trillium Falls and Tall Trees trails, as well as the visitor center at Prairie Creek. The house was very nicely renovated - new appliances, hardwood floors, lighting, etc., spotlessly clean and appointed with everything we might need for cooking utensils, grill, games, etc. Even DirecTV. Best of all, VERY secluded in the woods high above the valley floor - we felt entirely alone in the woods, with even a couple of redwoods on property. Awesome for our kids as well. We booked the cabin last minute due to yosemite fires and very happy we did - a truly memorable adventure! Highly recommended!
We loved this house! It was easy to get to all of the hikes we had planned in the redwoods and the house was lovely. Thanks for a great place to stay
Our family stayed at this cozy cabin for two nights as we toured the area. The owners do a great job of communicating with you before you arrive to be sure you don't have any questions. The description of this property is perfect. We thoroughly appreciated a break from hotel rooms and the noise of city locations. Thank you for making this home available to us!
Great cabin in the middle of the woods. Total piece and quiet which is what we loved. Cabin was centrally located near all of the activity for hiking and site-seeing. We especially enjoyed the Lady Bird Johnson Grove and Fern Canyon.
I've started in close to a dozen cabins in the Smokies. This is the most peaceful one yet, also in the top 3 for family friendly ease. I appreciated the camp fire wood and fire ring, and the family games. I was also impressed by the excellent maintenance and cleanliness of this place. I would definitely stay here again. Grab your supplies at supermarket an hour north or south of here, or expect to pay double at the local market in Orick. Also the directions they sent are good, but the first right fork right off the highway isn't mentioned, it's a private drive and could be confused as the road to this cabin.
We rented the Stylish Cabin for 2 nights - my husband and 2 year old, and my parents. The cabin is very well appointed and was just right for our needs. I was surprised to find a Pack n Play available for our use, which was perfect, as my toddler is able to open doors and we didn't want him wandering unsupervised. We loved sitting by the fire ring outside looking for satellites. I greatly appreciate the communication and instructions regarding the cabin (although I had to Google instructions for the Fagor oven symbols, lol). The cabin is a short drive to the Redwoods National Park, which was our objective. We went to Trinidad for dinner one evening , which was about a 20 minute drive. Overall the cabin exceeded my expectations and I would certainly return.
Our stay was wonderful. The furniture was comfortable and inviting. We saw elk in the morning and enjoyed sitting around the fire in the evening. It was a great location for sight-seeing too. We went hiking in the Redwood forest and tide pooling at the ocean. We spent one day just relaxing on the patio reading, playing games and watching the humming birds. Although the kitchen was well appointed, we went out almost every day to eat. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to my friends. My only suggestion would be to repave the first 100 yards of the access road/driveway.
It was a beautiful stay here. Very quiet and secluded. The kitchen had everything we needed and we would highly recommend this VRBO.
Wish we had stayed longer. Ideal location amid the Redwoods. Also, side benefit was a casino close by. Slight issue with WiFi that was rectified quite well by the management company. Clothes dryer needed to be cleaned, I am sure an oversight and as compensation we were able to have a late check-out. The house, location, and internal decor we're lovely, couldn't ask for more.
As a family of 5, staying here was nice ! We were looking to enjoy our vacation in a secluded area & this property hit the nail on the head ! Plenty of space for us to explore with the kids, fire pit for late afternoon fires, s'mores, roasted hot dogs ! Had everything we needed. Plenty of clean tasting tap water, nice fire stove, plenty of dimming lights, nice hot water for showers & plenty of windows to bring in the scenery ! The road to the property is bumpy, and the Management Comoany was efficient with any of our questions & needs ! We'll be staying here again !
We all had a WONDERFUL time staying @ this cabin, it was so quiet, peaceful, & relaxing. We loved using the fireplace every evening & visiting with one another. The board games were a pleasant surprise & we really enjoyed those. It was also a relief to find that an instant hot water heater was present, since we have a teen who LOVES long, hot showers. It was a nice bonus to not worry about running out of hot water during your shower. Since it was fairly cold when we were there, the only thing we felt was missing were a couple of throws/blankets for the couch/living room area. Aside from that small thing it was amazing!
