Enjoy a memorable trip to the charming Wells at this beach-themed, family-friendly retreat! Prepare crazy or traditional meals in the fully-equipped kitchen and surprise your friends with your cooking skills, or take advantage of the private gas grill and cook up some burgers. Then, unwind on the snuggly couch and watch your favorite Netflix series or stay tuned for the news on the flatscreen TV. One of the best perks of this house is the enclosed sun porch, which features an inviting sofa, a dining table, and even a wall-mounted TV! The couch is inviting you to grab one of the books available and snuggle while getting lost in that book. yard games, horseshoes, and a basketball hoop are available for even more entertainment. Outside, you'll enjoy a large lawn that is shared with the rest of the complex, however, because of the location of this unit it feels more private.

Wells Beach is only one mile easy and is one of the best family vacation attractions on the Southern Maine Coast. It's one of the four beaches you can find in Wells along with Moody Beach (three miles away), Crescent Beach (22 miles), and Drake's Island Beach (three and a half miles). This cottage was so comfortable and beautiful. We especially like the comfy bed, the sunroom and the Adirondack stairs outside. It's close to many good places to eat, and on a beautiful part of the coast and beach.

This is a two-part review: Part 1 is for VACASA management company. I will preface by saying that Vacasa responded to and corrected our issues with EXPEDIENCY and that was greatly appreciated. We arrived to what appeared to be a partially-cleaned unit. There was noticeable dirt on the floors (as if not swept or mopped); the shower had shampoo and other residue in it; and the bathroom sink did not appear to be cleaned. As noted, Vacasa responded promptly and took care of the issues to our satisfaction. We had no hot water our first night and contacted Vacasa. Again, they responded quickly and let us know they had notified Belle View property management because the cottage is on a shared hot water tank system. Vacasa kept us updated and we had hot water the next morning.
PART 2 is for the property itself. It is a really nice reno and well equipped (except we never found a corkscrew) with nice mattresses and plenty of seating. There is a nice high efficiency W/D in the bathroom (get that in your pictures!!). We were pleasantly surprised because we assumed it was a "common area" for W/D since it was not in any pictures. Unfortunately, we never had hot water in the evenings (I assume because of the shared tank issue) for the duration of our 3-night stay. If you have a large family or folks that like evening showers you might want to pass this one by. The cottage has only A/C window units in the two BRs; a LR window unit with A/C and heat; and portable unit with A/C and heat in the enclosed porch. There were some low 80 temps during our stay and the A/C units did not cool very well. We noticed some cottages had ductless mini-splits and I think this would be a better fix. NOTE to the owners-- you have some unsealed space around the LR window unit. Some spray foam might take care of that and may assist with climate control. The location was superb and drivable to the Kennybunks; multiple Wells-area beaches; and Ogonquit. We enjoyed our stay.

The place was in a quiet area and the stores we needed to go to were nearby. If we come to Maine in the future we would stay there again.

Everything about this place was beautiful. We were able to spend a lot of time together as a family. Perfect lil getaway. The beds were comfy and everyone slept good. The cottage was well stocked and made cleaning up easy. Thank you.
