70-acre luxury vineyard estate with 360-degree view, lap pool, hot tub - dogs OK

This expansive vineyard estate in Northern Sonoma County, a wine country retreat unlike any other, showcases luxury craftsmanship and stunning scenery in every direction. Occupying two contiguous parcels of land in the renowned Alexander Valley AVA, this gated estate covers 70 acres of rolling hills and valleys - more than 20 acres of which have been planted with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes contracted to Silver Oak, one of the most acclaimed wineries in California.

A winding driveway leads to the estate's core, where you'll be greeted by 360-degree views of thriving vineyards and the surrounding countryside. There's a beautifully modern main home, an attached recreation room across the breezeway, a separate guest house, and a stand-alone wine cellar. The estate's outdoor amenities and facilities are equally impressive - a lap pool and an enormous, covered hot tub with panoramic views of the Alexander Valley, a poolside wet bar, porches that wrap around the house, a Sonos wireless sound system both inside and out, and a 13,000-square-foot sports arena to host your friendly basketball, volleyball, and tennis tournaments. A high-capacity washer/dryer will keep everyone looking their best.

Your stay begins in the main house, a 3,450-square-foot space with intricate, exposed beam ceilings, radiant hardwood floors, and walls of windows at every turn. The open floor plan brings together the living room and the dining room, with a double-sided fireplace that connects to the deck outside. The elegant gourmet kitchen was designed for the most discerning of chefs. It offers professional-grade appliances, granite and butcher block countertops, a well-equipped wet bar with its own mini-fridge and freezer, and another wine cellar. The expansive island breakfast bar connects the kitchen to the family room, a wonderful spot to gather by the fire and watch TV in the evenings.

Across the breezeway is the recreation room, a club-like space with a source of entertainment for every interest. You can play nine-ball on the pool table, deal cards at the game table, try to beat the high score on various games at the cocktail-style arcade cabinet, or simply gather on the sofa to watch a big game on the TV. The separate guest house is ideal for those seeking a bit more privacy, as it offers its own living area, bedroom, full bathroom, and sauna (accessed from outside).

What a beautiful home! It was the perfect vacation, with activities for all age groups making it feel like an all inclusive resort! Thank you for sharing your home.

This is a nice, expansive property with lots of amenities. However, hitting my credit card with undisclosed fees ($45 for “hot tub,” extra $200 for heating the pool when it wasn’t heated)-and not returning calls seeking an explanation to the voicemail that announced said fees is unacceptable. You pay a lot for a premium house, you expect reasonable service.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Aaron, we hope you enjoyed your stay. We aim to make the price of our rentals as completely transparent as possible and provide a breakdown of each cost you pay towards the rental before, and throughout the booking process, including all fees and taxes. We hope to have the opportunity to truly impress you in the future.

We felt so at home in this house. The whole family did not want to leave...and we all wished we can stay longer. Fully stocked of supplies, very clean, and well designed home. Though, It would have been more than 5 stars if the bed and pillows were softer. Not bad, but just a personal preference. It was a rainy weekend, so we did not get to enjoy the views much and did not get to swim, but when the skies got cleared, the views were just magnificent! We were all in awe, and it's selfie time for everybody. The whole gang had a blast playing all sorts of games in the big game room. It's practically like another guest house; a perfect place for family bonding! We almost did not see the Basketball court due to the location not part of the main house, and the property management customer service was not so familiar with the property either. It's a 70 acre property, and it can be very overwhelming. The property is very secluded, and I suggest to utilize the 10 pax maximum occupancy as it is more fun to be able to enjoy a huge property with a bigger group. We wish to be back here on a better weather condition, but so worth the experience. It was a fun weekend!

We had an amazing time at the house. We used the sports courts and pool. It was very comfortable for the 10 of us. There was something for everyone. The owners were very thoughtful in all the things they provided. Nothing felt like it was missing. I highly recommend the property and have suggested it to friends.

From the moment I came through the gate at Woodhawk, I knew this was a special place. The road winds through the vineyard and at the top of the hill sits Woodhawk. The property consists of a main house, a guest house, pool, a sports court (the likes of which I’ve never seen on a personal property) and a stable. The view from the property is magnificent and looks over the entire Alexander Valley. The kitchen and bathrooms are well furnished and have everything that is needed to have a wonderful stay. Even though I am a picky person, I rate our stay here a 10 out of 10.

This is a spectacular property, in every way. The house is gorgeous, in a stylish but unpretentious way. We loved admiring the views of the vineyards and the surrounding Anderson Valley, especially from the beautiful deck just off main living room where we spent most of our time. But that was just the start. There’s an incredible covered outdoor gym, with a full basketball and tennis court and other attractions that were great for having fun with the family, and plenty of room for great hikes in the hills of the estate. There’s a beautiful pool area, with hot-tub, also with spectacular views. An idyllic place to get away and enjoy family and friends.

Woodhawk put us in a world of relaxation and beauty. Our stay was undeniably wonderful. The main house was large enough for everyone to have their own space, yet it felt comfortable and homey. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of seating, it was perfect for cooking. The entertainment room is great for movie watching. There is even a tabletop PacMan video game! The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The guest house had everything we needed. The view from the guest house tower was amazing-- we had an elevated view of the pool, hot tub, barn and arena. You cannot go wrong staying at Woodhawk! We will definitely be going back!
