Dog-Friendly, 2-Level Gorge View Home w/Free WiFi, Deck, Central AC, W/D

With its sweeping views of the Columbia River and Rowena Canyon, this striking four-bedroom cabin is ideal for your next family-friendly vacation. The peaceful, six-acre property is home to a variety of wildlife and is great for watching large birds of prey gliding on the cliff updrafts right in front of the house! The area is also known for its hiking, fishing, watersports, fruit farms, and wineries, and is a short drive from the shopping and restaurants of Hood River.

You'll fall in love with the main level's floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river, as well as its high vaulted ceilings, comfy furnishings, and all-wood interior. The flatscreen TV will stream your favorite Netflix movies and shows whenever you need a break from the river, and the central AC will cool the home down on hot summer afternoons.

The full kitchen is the dream of any family chef, with stainless steel appliances that include a French-door refrigerator and a dishwasher, a center prep island, and lots of storage and counter space. The kids can enjoy your home-cooked meals from the three barstools and the wood dining table has seating for up to 10 guests. Outside, you'll find a fully enclosed wrap-around deck equipped with a large gas grill and plenty of outdoor seating.

Use the high-speed WiFi to listen to some good music or research a new local adventure. After a day out and about, the private washer/dryer will easily knock out everyone's dirty laundry while you take the family dogs out for a good walk. When it's time to call it a night, you'll have four bedrooms to enjoy and the living room includes more sleeping accommodations for extra guests.

I could not believe all the supplies available! And a whole drawer full of spices! Dream vacation spot for sure!

Even with all the pics provided, we were surprised at how nice the house was as well as the amazing view from the house and patio. Great place to stay. Too bad we were only there for 2 days. If you rent, keep in mind it's 10' from the nearest coffee shop and general store and 20' from a supermarket, so plan ahead. We would definitely stay there again, super comfortable and spacious.

From the stellar views, to the mule deer visiting, to the great activities in the area this is the PERFECT GETAWAY. The accommodations were clean, spacious and very comfortable. The refrigerator had some stables stocked and the kitchen implements were great.

We had the most amazing time at this beautiful cabin in Mosier - the house was clean and had all the amenities / cookware / condiments we needed for our stay. The views both from the living area (LOVED the back windows and all the natural light indoors) and outside were to die for - we had one of our meals outside on the deck and it was just amazing! Comfy beds, ample lounging space, huge kitchen / dining area - we would definitely love to come back again!

The quiet peace of the gorge welcomes you in the morning as the breeze whips past your fresh cup of steaming coffee. Every aspect of your stay has been thoughtfully prepared throughout the home with attention to detail. Watching the shadows work their way over the gorge throughout the length of the day brought such peace. We will definitely come again and again.

We absolutely loved this home! Lots of room, clean, comfortable, and a fantastic private and convenient location. The kitchen was extraordinarily well equipped, great for cooking. We couldn’t have found a better place to stay close to Hood River!

Amazing views and loved the property. Home is great and would highly recommend to anyone.

We loved the house. Our time there was terrific but for one thing. A foot of snow fell during. The quarter mile driveway became impassible. There was 1 snow shovel, no snow blower, no salt, no gravel, no sand. We spent 8 hours clearing the driveway. And even after all that work (basically an entire day of our vacation) and with using tirechains it took us 2 hours and a lot of pushing to get our cars up the driveway. In the process of getting off the property my brakes were damaged. We had to leave the car in Mosier and call a tow truck. All of which has made for a much more expensive stay in terms of both time and money than we had planned on.
Gorgeous home.
But better winter planning would have made a huge difference in our experience at this property. I would advise you to either take the property off the market in winter or provide renters with appropriate safety gear.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Rosanne. While we are glad to hear you enjoyed the home, we are very sorry for the difficulties you had due to the unusual snow event that happened during your stay. As indicated in our listing, 4WD/traction may be required in winter. We have also updated our guest's instructions about the driveway being long and unpaved. While a large amount of snow in this area is not normal, we always want to provide our guests with the best experience and make sure they are prepared for such an event. We will add a bag of ice melt or gravel and an additional shovel to the home. We hope that the refund that you were given has helped with some resolution for the issue you experienced. We would like to have another chance to impress you in the future!

This house is so well set-up for relaxing and spending time together! The view is incredible—the photos don’t do it justice. It feels like a vacation just sitting on the deck. The kitchen is fully stocked for real cooking—it had everything we needed. We appreciated the attention to detail, too, like hand lotion by every sink and binoculars and a bird guide for looking out the big windows. The beds were comfortable. The only word of caution is that there is a steep drop from the property, so you’d want to keep a close eye on little kids and pets. We loved our stay and look forward to coming again!

The home has a great view, well equipped kitchen, and is close to several vineyards. We’re planning on staying again.

Astounded that we found this place for the 4th of July, and astounded it was so reasonably priced (and that it allowed dogs!!). The house is big, beautiful, and has a stunning view. Kitchen is well stocked, and we cooked multiple large meals. House is stocked with tons of useful and fun stuff (cleaning supplies, shampoo, great board games, even dog treats!) Porch was great for viewing the stars. Close to an awesome swimming hole, and well placed between Hood River and The Dalles. Perhaps my only complaint was that finding the place in the dark was a bit tough!
