This rustic, lakefront escape is one half (the second floor) of a two-level duplex, offering its own separate entrance from the downstairs portion (which may be occupied by other renters). Here on the banks of Togus Pond - as this 654-acre lake is known locally - it's not uncommon to spot bald eagles, geese, beavers, and turtles. It's also a certified wildlife habitat and an ideal home base for those looking to be convenient to Augusta on their way to or from Acadia National Park.

Ascend a flight of 16 stairs to be rewarded with gorgeous views of the lake on three sides, as well as a private balcony that feels like it's part of the tree canopy. Begin each morning with a paddle around the lake in the provided canoe, returning home to read on the lakeshore, breathe in the pine-scented air, or build a campfire in the shared fire pit. (Please note that the canoe and the firepit are shared with the property downstairs.) Back inside this 200-square-foot space, you'll find a minifridge and a microwave (but no full kitchen), a full bathroom, and recent updates that include air conditioning, free high-speed WiFi, and Roku TV is available for guest streaming with your account.
