Take in the picturesque views and dive into all of the area's thrilling outdoor activities with your group of up to four at this cozy one-bedroom home at Cascade Head Ranch. A bright and inviting space that's been updated with modern conveniences, the perfect refuge at the end of a day of activity and a tranquil oasis. Tucked into the evergreen woodlands at the mouth of the Salmon River, where it empties into the Pacific Ocean, this home offers parking for up to two vehicles and plenty of nearby opportunities for play in the great outdoors. Admire the panoramic views and breathtaking coastline on a hike up the Cascade Head Trail, take advantage of fishing, crabbing, kayaking, canoeing or other boating activities in the beautiful Salmon River, or take in a scenic short drive south to reach Devils Lake for even more fishing, boating, and stand-up paddleboarding.

Boasting an open floor plan, the inspired interior is filled with contemporary furnishings, ocean-themed decor, and modern conveniences, including stainless steel kitchen appliances. Kick off your shoes to relax in the living area, where you'll find a comfortable sectional couch and gorgeous views of the river and ocean from oversized picture windows. Flip on the flatscreen TV to see whats on, or pull out one of the home's board games and enjoy some group bonding time.

When it's time to eat, savor grilled salmon fillets or other local fare whipped up in the full kitchen. Its updated appliances and ample countertops will assist in all of your cooking endeavors, and its assorted cookware makes the job quick and easy. Enjoy group meals at the nearby wooden table, or take your breakfast, lunch, or dinner onto the outdoor deck by the grill for its panoramic coastline views. There's even a huge Sitka spruce tree that grows through the deck, preserving the woodland aesthetic.

Rise with the morning sunshine over the gorgeous view of the river and ocean and get ready for a new day of adventures. Brew a fresh cup of coffee to shake off any lingering sleep, then take in all that Cascade Head Ranch has to offer, including perhaps a visit to the extremely isolated ocean beach at the mouth of the river that can be seen from the home, but can only be accessed by boat. Or, take an easy day trip into Lincoln City (10 miles south) for its restaurants, boutiques, and even live entertainment. Keep going south to find the charming Nye Beach neighborhood of Newport (34 miles south) with more shopping and dining options along its boardwalk, or head north on Highway 101 for a day in Pacific City (about 19 miles), where you can pick up a fresh microbrew paired with a delicious meal at the Pelican Pub & Brewery. Cascade Head Ranch is extremely well located to either stay close or venture out.

We loved this place tucked in the forest 🌳! It has an amazing view of Cascade Head beach below.
The place itself was clean and decorated well. Our only complaint was having to go up and down stairs to go to the bathroom 🚽 in the night since the sleeping loft and bedroom were on the second floor and the only bath on the first. This was our bad because we didn’t read the description of the place carefully before booking it…
Kitchen needs more pots and pans especially a nicer fry pan, the one we used was pretty crummy. But overall we really enjoyed staying there and would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind stairs.

Immersed in nature at the mouth of the Salmon River and on the slopes of Cascade Head. 15 minutes from Lincoln City but feels much more secluded. Great size for one, two, or small family.

Quiet and peaceful among the trees with just the sounds of wildlife and the ocean. Super cute home with all the amenities. Awesome place to unplug and breathe.

This home is in an amazing spot. The view, the trails, the vegetation are all spectacular.
I stayed here 5 years ago. The new owners have done a nice job of fixing it up.
Only glitch is the electrical wiring is still funky.
Manager response:
We're glad you stayed with us, Kristy. It's fun to read you enjoyed your visit. The wiring has been inspected and found to work well. Thanks!

The house was very nicely updated and fresh looking inside. The one big issue we had was there were no night in the bathroom that worked. When we contacted VACASA about this issue, because they would come and check it out, that never happened.

Manager response:
Thank you for your review, James. Our team is pleased you had a great stay. We sincerely apologize the bathroom lightbulbs were not replaced during your stay. We appreciate you notifying us promptly of the issues you encountered so that we could take the appropriate steps toward a resolution. Please know that the comfort and satisfaction of our guests is our priority and the experience you had is certainly not commonplace, nor is it indicative of our level of service. Our team was able to replace the bulbs within 24 hours of being notified, unfortunately that was after you had checked out. We appreciate our guests' understanding of this matter and hope to better impress you in the future!

The place was VERY clean and well taken care of.
Beautiful view from master bedroom deck.
FYI: Bring your own coffee, creamer and sugar.
Grocery Outlet is not that far away.
Great 2 day visit.

I loved this place! Was perfect for a little get away near the ocean you can hear the waves and the fire pit was cozy with privacy and beautiful scenery and wild life! They had everything you possibly need for your trip! I would recommend it to everyone!

We loved our stay here. The view of the Salmon River with the ocean behind it was amazing. We frequently saw a herd of elk and lots of deer. A couple of things to note: We didn’t have any phone reception at the house. We didn’t mind a bit, but if that’s important to you, be aware. Also, the bathroom is on the main floor and the bedroom and loft are upstairs. Again, it didn’t bother us, but I know that’s important to some. We thought the kitchen was great; nicely stocked and the gas stove was wonderful to cook on. The Bathroom is updated and very nice. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed in April and therefore needed to heat the house. The fireplace does a great job of heating the main area. The heaters upstairs did their jobs and we were never cold. A truly fabulous house!

This was a charming little place. It was clean and comfortable! There’s no phone reception by the house so hopefully, you won’t get lost finding the place. My kids and I enjoyed our stay until the checkout morning. The Vacasa app and email specified checkout at 11 am. We were having breakfast when the home owner showed up at 10:20 am and told us that checkout was at 10 am and we needed to leave immediately. This ruin our plans for the rest of that day. I reached out to Vacasa and the rep said the same thing as the owner. I emailed Vacasa about the miscommunication but I have not gotten any response. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to you.
Manager response:
Hi Kae. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and apologize for the miscommunication in regards to check-out time. To clarify, all of our homes have a 10 am check-out time. For the safety of our communities, guests, and staff we are not allowing any late checkouts so that we can ensure the home is cleaned, sanitized, and inspected prior to the next guests. We hope to host you again soon!

The home is nestled in the forest overlooking the Salmon River and the ocean. A delightful creek runs beside the home, and listening to it and the ocean, while enjoying the views was sublime.
Comfortable beds, nice linens, and a well-appointed kitchen. It was a cozy place to unwind.
The local wildlife was a pleasure to observe while exploring the area, or from the deck.

We just love this unique little get away. We first found this place in December of 2021 on a spontaneous weekend get away and then we turned around and booked again for this past weekend. The proximity to Lincoln City is amazing! You are close enough to enjoy all the town has to offer and far enough away that you get to see wildlife and wake up to the sounds of the ocean while surrounded by the forest. We can't wait to keep going back!

Great cabin for a tranquil holiday. Beautiful view and wonderful wildlife. Will definitely return.
