Stay in one of our Blairsden vacation rentals to discover the secret for yourself!

Where is Blairsden, CA?

You'll find Blairsden in Plumas County right alongside State Route 70, just 40 miles west of the Nevada border. If you're traveling from Sacramento, follow I-80 for most of your trip with just one easy turn northwest onto SR 89.

Things to Do in Blairsden, CA

Blairsden is a no-pressure community where it's best to awaken with the sun, take your time getting ready, and see where the day takes you. During the summer, there are a couple superb golf courses close by, including Plumas Pines up the road and Graeagle Meadows to the south. Fishing, kayaking, and canoeing are all possible on the 100-mile long Middle Fork Feather River.

Those looking to hit the trails can hike and bike the two-mile long, dog-friendly Gray Eagle Creek Trail within the Plumas-Eureka State Park, as well as the Madora Lake Loop, a one-and-a-half mile trail that's fantastic for birdwatching, located four miles west of Blairsden.

And no visit to the area would be complete without a stop (or two) at The Brewing Lair, a 15-acre brewery just outside of town that offers beer tastings, live music, outdoor seating, and a seasonal, nine-hole disc golf course.
