Blairsden is a no-pressure community where it's best to awaken with the sun, take your time getting ready, and see where the day takes you. During the summer, there are a couple superb golf courses close by, including Plumas Pines up the road and Graeagle Meadows to the south. Those looking to hit the trails can hike and bike the two-mile long, dog-friendly Gray Eagle Creek Trail within the Plumas-Eureka State Park, as well as the Madora Lake Loop, a one-and-a-half mile trail that's fantastic for birdwatching, located four miles west of Blairsden.

And no visit to the area would be complete without a stop (or two) at The Brewing Lair, a 15-acre brewery just outside of town that offers beer tastings, live music, outdoor seating, and a seasonal, nine-hole disc golf course.
