7 of us stayed here for 4 nights and we couldn’t be more pleased! Huge open floor plan, centrally situated but tucked away in nature. Well maintained, well appointed. Clean. Highly recommended.

The house itself is beautiful, well stocked and felt completely “home” like. The owners did not skimp on furnishing or supplies and it did not feel like a rental at all. It felt like we were visiting friends in their home. There are turtles in the back pond that we really enjoyed and the back deck was wonderful. This would have been a 5 star stay, except that the unit was not cleaned prior to our arrival. We arrived two hours after check in after traveling all day, to find dirty bathrooms, towels on the floor, bed sheets used…it took until 9:30pm to get someone there with sheets and towels and then they returned the next day to clean the unit. But by the time they’d come that night, I’d already had to go out and get cleaning and laundry supplies (because we were told they weren’t coming that night) and I had to scrub toilets and wash sheets (yuck). It was an unnecessarily stressful beginning to our weekend. Vacasa did follow up and refunded my cleaning charge, but still. Another sort of weird thing…we returned from venturing out to find a woman and her dog on the front porch. We inquired why she was there and she said her dog liked to see the turtles. But the turtles were in the back. I don’t know why she was on the porch looking in the window. After she left we found fresh dog poop in the back yard so I’m not sure if she was just a nosey neighbor or what. But she wasn’t considerate of our space regardless. Other than these two events, we had a wonderful weekend and the house was gorgeous and relaxing.
