Recent Corolla Village - Outer Banks vacation rental reviews

This was our second year at Break-Away and our family had a fantastic time. The house is a perfect location to the beach and the house had plenty of room for our 9 grandchildren and our adult kids. Thanks for another fabulous summer vacation!

This is our third year traveling to Corolla and CV5 Sunshine is by far our favorite! We are usually a party of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids) but we were a party of 14 this year. The location was great, a 3-minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the Beer Garden. We were a 7-10 minute walk to the Corolla Lighthouse at Whalehead and a 7-minute drive to the 4x4 beach. We were able to air down in our own driveway (too bad we didn't bring a small air compressor we could've aired up too!). The house was perfect! Our teenage kids had so much to do between the pool, beach, video games, pool table, basketball hoop and foosball. There was plenty of room for all of us and the pool was key. After a day at the beach we could hang out by the pool and stay cool. We were a close drive to TimBuck II and Food Lion. In the past we stayed near the Harris Teeter area, second year near Tim Buck II (neither house had a pool) but this year we had a list of wants that CV5 Sunshine provided us. This was the best house so far in our travels to OBX. Can't wait for our next visit!

Having never been to the OBX before I feel we were very lucky to experience the location of this adorable house. We were able to walk to the historic Corolla village, lighthouse and shops. The ocean was just steps away and the view from the balcony in the master bedroom was wonderful, especially at sunrise. We were grateful for the hot tub and enjoyed it each night. We would want to return in the warmer season to also take advantage of the pool, which wasn't open yet.
