Stayed here for a girls weekend and had the best trip! The pool and hot tub were just what we needed for chillier weather. Looking forward to booking this house again!

Going to Fire Island over the years, you realize there are 2 types of houses. Share houses and family houses. I appreciate the fact that there are still some reasonably priced family houses like this one. It’s an interesting house, beds were comfortable but there are inappropriately positioned sky lights that aren’t conducive to sleeping past sunrise (I awoke at 5am every day). The kitchen had enough utensils, pots and pans but limited cups and dishware. Appliances all work well and the house has multiple beach chairs and towels. You have to walk down to the bottom floor to use the grill and there are 2 so if the bottom unit is rented, you do not have to share. (This was a concern we had) It’s an older house but the location is great. Waking up and sitting on the deck with tea or coffee watching the waves really give you peace and makes you feel a million miles away. We’ll probably rent again but will be prepared with some stuff to make our stay more comfortable.

Where are our Fire Island beach house rentals?

A little over 60 miles east of New York City, Fire Island sits right offshore from Long Island, separated from it by the Great South Bay. To get to Fire Island, you’ll have to take the ferry: cars aren’t allowed on the island’s mostly residential 32 miles. The lack of cars makes for an extraordinarily laid-back and friendly atmosphere, as locals and vacation rental guests embrace a slower pace of life.

Things to do on Fire Island

When you’re on Fire Island, the best way to spend your day is often strolling or sunbathing on the beautiful beaches.
