Things to Do on Jekyll Island

In addition to the quiet tranquility and slower pace of island life, there's much to see when you stay in our vacation rentals on Jekyll Island. Visit the many historical buildings that offer a glimpse into the life of early settlers. Visit the remains of the Horton House to see a building made of crushed oyster shells fashioned into a kind of cement, then drive south to view an old gun mount used in the Spanish-American War. Don't forget to stop in the Jekyll Island History Museum to get the whole story!

Talk a walk along the boardwalk at Glory Beach and sight wildlife in the various natural habitats, then make your way to St. Andrews and watch for dolphins swimming in the surf. Treat the kids to an afternoon of laughs and splashes at the Summer Waves Waterpark as a reward for their patience, or stop by the Georgia Sea Turtle Center to see these amazing reptiles up close!

Your next trip to Georgia will be one to remember when you stay in one of our Jekyll Island vacation rentals!
