The location of this place is perfect - ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, near enough town to get provisions and walk (which we had to do as we arrived during the big freeze in December!) but far enough away to be secluded and chilled.
Great lake views, feels very private, and build of cabin is great. Heating, AC, water and everything all great too, and we’ll definitely be back… however I hope that now this is a Vacasa property (it changed hands a month before our stay) the owners invest some money and give the property and inventory some TLC… it felt like the pots and pans, plates, silverware, glassware, towels were limited and very old. Everything is Coca-Cola branded, which for a $200 a night cabin doesn’t feel right. Little basic touches like having salt in the shaker, leaving some grit or firewood, having a brush to clean the fire with, putting a first aid kit in, having enough toilet rolls and kitchen roll to last six nights…. these would make a huge difference, as would adding more info to the welcome package, it all felt very sparse.
We’d love to come back - this place is a gem, and for the price of one night’s stay and a trip to IKEA the whole guest experience could be five star.

4. Cabin was clean. The dishwasher didn't work and half of the light bulbs were burnt out. Luckily the heaters and fireplaces worked. There were some pieces of red candy or pills in the floor in the bedroom and bathroom but other than that it was clean.
