Recent The North Fork vacation rental reviews

Loved the house, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It made spending time there with my family enjoyable. The kitchen and all of the bathrooms were super clean and well maintained. Comfortable furniture, great fireplace with a backyard and basement that are very family friendly. The hosts were available to answer any questions and had helpful suggestions for local activities. Strong WiFi signal and the entire house had good coverage.

We loved all the natural light in the house, the convenient location to town, beach, playground and vineyards. Lots of privacy and everything we could need in the house.

This is a great house for larger extended families. Large dining area, for TV rooms, five bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths. Worked great for our children and their two grandchildren. Toys and board games. Pool room an unexpected bonus. Great back yard. Screened in porch.

Where is The North Fork?

Our North Fork vacation rentals rest on a 30 mile-long peninsula on the eastern end of Long Island. With New York City located about 90 minutes away, these homes are perfect for a day trip into the city. However, if you’d prefer to stay close by, you’ll find no shortage of activities.

Things to do near The North Fork

The area is known for its vineyards—you’ll find dozens offering tours, tastings, and events. Spend an afternoon sipping wines from the region, and admiring the idyllic scenery of the vineyards. Be sure to grab a bottle (or two) to enjoy back at your North Fork vacation home. Bicycling is another popular pastime in the area. The terrain is flat and easy to navigate, and you’ll find a number of bike tour companies to choose from—some tours are even curated around visiting those local wineries!

Fishing, kayaking, and other water activities abound, and many local companies offer equipment rentals. Whale and seal watching excursions are available as well, or you can charter a boat for your own adventure on the water. A wide array of farm tours and farmers’ markets offer a picturesque—and delicious—way to explore. In the evenings, you can visit one of the locally-owned restaurants for some fresh seafood and sunset views onto the ocean.
