Prominence on 30A - Watersound Vacation Rentals

The unit is nice, it just needs a deep clean from all the dust. If you hate dust don’t plan to turn the ceiling fans on. The washer is DISGUSTING. There was so much black mold and it smelled awful. The garage door code did not work so we could not use the key pad to enter thru the garage. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything but a coffee pot. They had an old off brand kuerig, if your a coffee drinker dont plan on making coffee. There is some good coffee across the street at the Hub. Prior to out trip I asked if there were bikes and beach gear i was told no. The people you communicate via Vacasa have no clue what the unit has or has not. They had 2 complimentary bikes. You’ll have to text and ask for the code because the paperwork in there house binder is outdated and its not the right code. The garage had 3 beach chairs, umbrella, small cooler, boogie board, and lots of beach toys. Back to the house binder. The information is old and outdated. It also offers no information about the community or home. There was no details on what the pool code was or that we had access to 2 pools one on the north side and the other on the south. The larger pool seems to be heated the smaller one isnt. The bathrooms at the pool are clean and spacious. The “gym” is a small she shed with 4 machines. There are lots of pillows more than you’ll need and just as many bath towels so you wont run out. The closest beach access is Deer Park at .60 miles. There is a $3 entry fee. It offers bathrooms some parking and lots of beautiful beach! Overall the home is beautiful they just need to do better at the up keep and communication with the guests.

The furniture in the photos is not what is in the actual house- the real furniture is even better! The house was gorgeous, in a community of condos, and right across the street from some shops and restaurants. We loved taking the bikes and golf cart out, and the home was clean and fresh. Would love to return.

My original rental (not this unit) was unexpectedly unavailable less than 24-hours prior to check in. Stressful to say the least! However, Vacasa provided several options from which to choose another rental and Heron’s Perch Unit A was on the list. It turned out to be MUCH BETTER than we expected! Heron’s Perch Unit A is a lovely 3 BR end unit located in the back of Prominence, the neighborhood directly across from The Big Chill (formerly The Hub.) You walk down a narrow path outside that separates two buildings to find the entrance on the side of the unit. Open the keypad entry door to soaring ceilings and a first floor kitchen/living room/dining room combo, which is very inviting and has sparkling like-new furniture and appliances. Closet storage abounds in bathrooms and bedrooms. The bedrooms all have awesome mattresses. There is even a large kitchen pantry closet, which I find to be rare with beach house rentals. Any questions I had about the rental were answered well by local customer service reps. I couldn’t find an iron or a hair dryer, so you might ask about those things specifically before you arrive. Bring more kitchen garbage sacks with you, as there were only two for our 3-night stay with 6 people. There is a short, 1 mile drive/bike ride west to Deer Lake State Park for a secluded beach compared to other places on 30A. (Be prepared to pay $3 per car and walk the park’s long boardwalk, but it’s more than worth it for the views and peace!) Overall, a great stay at Heron’s Perch Unit A!
