About North Troy
Attractions

Tucked away in a secluded pocket of Vermont lovingly referred to as the Northeast Kingdom is a tiny village of green mountains, outdoor adventures, and a mere 600 residents. Welcome to North Troy, one of the last stops in Vermont on the road to Canada, and a year-round destination for skiers, swimmers, and families who find rest and relaxation in our North Troy vacation rentals.

Where is North Troy?

The village of North Troy is part of greater Troy, a town of 1,700 residents in the northwestern reaches of Orleans County. You'll find North Troy up on the American border with Canada, nine miles northeast of majestic Jay Peak and its all-season mountain resort, and 13 miles west of Newport on the shores of Lake Memphremagog.

Things to Do in North Troy

Whether you're packing your bathing suits or towing your snowmobiles, you'll find a wealth of entertainment near our North Troy vacation homes.

Pass the winter months by skiing and snowboarding on 3,968-foot Jay Peak, where you'll find nine lifts, 78 trails, and two terrain parks across 385 acres. And although the mountain boasts the most snow in eastern North America, Jay Peak Resort comes alive in the other seasons as well. Spend summer (and winter) days at the Jay Peak Pump House indoor waterpark, where you can float the Big River, practice your flowriding, and join your children in the Mill Pond Kids Play Area.

The pristine days of summer are the perfect time to launch your boat on Lake Memphremagog in Newport, or to book a tee time at the Jay Peak Resort Golf Course. And you need only to hop in the car and drive to Jay State Forest to catch a glimpse of Vermont's spectacular fall color.

Get off the grid and escape to one of Vermont's loveliest landscapes - reserve your stay in one of our North Troy vacation rentals today!
