Where is Playa Brasilito?

The small fishing village of Playa Brasilito is in the Guanacaste province of northern Costa Rica. Located about 44 miles from Liberia and 19 miles south of Playas del Coco, this lovely beach destination is a short drive away from the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport for easy access. Nearby, Playa Flamingo is a few miles down the coastline for resort amenities, restaurants, and more outdoor recreation options. 

Things To Do in Playa Brasilito

Many locals (referred to as Ticos) come to Playa Brasilito to escape for a relaxing weekend, making this small village a great place to hide away for a laid-back retreat and a true Costa Rican experience. In the center of town, there's a plaza and soccer field with local sports events. Around the edge of town, you'll find small stores or pulperías for amenities. 

Less than a mile down the coastline from the village, Playa Conchal is a must-see spot for any visitor. Filled with tiny crushed seashells that make up the sandy shore, this stunning beach features crystal clear blue waters that are great for swimming, snorkeling, and more!

Day Trips near Playa Brasilito

Just south of Playa Brasilito, you can explore one of the most famous sea turtle beaches in the world. Marina Las Baulas National Park is home to rare sea turtles, where you can watch different species coming ashore for their nesting rituals. 

About 11 miles south in Tamarindo, you can choose from an amazing array of outdoor activities. From catamaran tours out on the water to zip lining through the forest, take your pick of unforgettable tours and recreation. For hiking options, several National Parks in the Guanacaste province are only an hour or so away by car. The stunning Rincón de la Vieja features scenic volcanic vents, waterfalls, and more.
