The house was so much better than the motel we were used to. It was great to have a kitchen. It was a good location and the house was comfortable.

Beautiful cottage that had everything we needed for our stay plus some. Can’t beat the location right on the water. Would highly recommend and plan to stay again if available.

This was a lovely property that was mostly as expected. The photo of the laundry in the listing is inaccurate, as the laundry room is locked and Vacasa confirmed no laundry is available. Had we known that at booking, we would've likely booked elsewhere for our weeklong stay. As a positive, the kitchen was very well stocked, and there were also games and books provided. It looked like the listing, and things were mostly as expected / described. The view is gorgeous and peaceful, though definitely pack bug spray in seasons where bugs are around as it's in the trees. It was quiet and away from the main road. They provided lots of towels and the beds and bedding were reasonable. There is a big difference in room sizes (and the little curtained "room" with the two single beds), so the upper bedroom is by far the largest, though the second full bedroom is slightly bigger than it appears in photos (still small, but perfectly serviceable). A few other notes to be aware of: - It's on a road off Westlake Dr., so it is a little out of the way of the main town (only a few minutes driving, but would be a considerable walk). - The driveway and parking is a little steep. 4 cars can fit, but it might be a little tight / interesting to try to back out of it. There is space to turn around with a single car, which is nice. - Read the listing info about the dock and how to get to it closely. We were prepared, but it is quite a trek through the trees and down the road, so it does take a few minutes to get to (and hike back). - There's no A/C and only one fan, which is in the upper living room. So in the summer, I'd imagine it gets quite hot (we were there in spring), especially as most of the windows do NOT have any shades (the bedroom windows do). There is baseboard heating that can be adjusted per room (a nice feature), but that's more helpful for other seasons. - The TV is very small, in the lower living room, and can only be used with your own Apple login. If you don't have one, don't expect TV. - The owners request no shoes inside. This is fine, but letting folks know to prepare to pack inside slippers! - There wasn't a hairdryer, so pack your own if needed. - They provided shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner, so again - pack your own if needed. Overall, it was a lovely location and we had a comfortable stay, though I may be biased from being in the main bedroom!
