Kahalu'u Beach Park is a short drive for snorkeling, and Ali'i Drive continues north to historic Kailua-Kona. This is a useful family base because beach time, supplies, dinner, and a quieter residential setting are all close without feeling isolated.

Getting around:
Kona International Airport is roughly 25 to 30 minutes away by car. A rental car is useful for exploring the Kona Coast and historic Kailua-Kona. Keauhou Bay Beach Park and the Keauhou Shopping Center are walkable from the condo.
